Michelle is not a matriarch. The Duggars are very clear about Jim Bob being the head of the family.

DeleteJim Bob is the patriarch. Michelle is the matriarch. Yes, Jim Bob is the head of the home but don't think Michelle doesn't lead in the home as well. They have worked together to raise a fine family. Jim Bob didn't do it all alone.

ReplyDeleteWow, what great pictures. In the one where Michelle had her hair straightened, it's so apparent that Jill looks just like her. It's harder to notice with Michelle's hair curly. I find it easy to see which children look like Jim Bob, and harder to recognize who looks like Michelle. Happy birthday, Michelle. Enjoy life! 1 John 2:24.

ReplyDeleteI have a different lifestyle and different views from the Duggars on many issues, but I like to always try and find something positive in people who are different from me. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I noticed how softspoken Michelle is with her children, how she corrects them kindly, while putting herself at their level, I've been blown away with admiration. I really like that about her and I wish to integrate it in the future when (hopefully) I have children. :)

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Michelle. Is it silly to say that turning 50 is one of the things I like best about her right now. I'm a mom of 3 adopted children and I'm 1 year younger than Michelle (almost to the day). My children are all a year apart and my youngest is a year younger than Josie. I often felt crazy adopting at the age I did but seeing Michelle raising children the same age as mine makes me feel normal :0)
