Duggars Quitting Reality TV?

As we approach the eighth episode of Counting On, season two, the tabloids are circulating a rumor that the Duggar siblings are quitting reality TV. Is it true? Not in the slightest. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's child have no plans to leave TLC.

On another note, be sure to tune in tomorrow at 9pm ET/8pm CT for an all-new, hour-long episode of Counting On, "The Big Event." Watch Ben host a youth football camp with a group of former NFL players, while Jana redecorates the guesthouse Jill and Derick will be staying in when they return from Central America. And see the early stages of Jeremy Vuolo's proposal, as he and Jinger plan their trip to New York City.

  1. You haven't posted any ratings for this season. Is there a reason why not?

  2. THANK YOU JESUS! ;) I don't really read the Tabloids, but it's good to know anyway!

  3. "The Big Event" - what big event? Sounds like more of the same. Remember that "life-changing" event we're still waiting for from last season?

    1. There was no big event last night! More misleading nonsense from TLC. So tired of it.

    2. they are showing Jinger getting engaged next week, that's what the Big Event is. We know they aren't lying because they told us what it was!

    3. So they titled this week's show to reflect what's going to happen NEXT week??? That makes no sense. Wait. Nothing on this show makes sense, so that should be no surprise.

  6. While I am glad to see counting on and am able to follow along jingers courtship. Perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea for this family to avoid the limelight and social media. They have had such a strong backlash from last years "situations" that all the kids especially the younger ones would benefit from making thier lives private again and let thier family heal and thrive in life without the cameras. Might do them all good! However I'm sure many fans would appreciate specials on occasion such as weddings and babies!

    2. Anonymous? It wouldn't be a bad idea; for those who've enjoyed, relished and beaten this family into the ground, to take a breather also 222! I'm thinking perhaps you and others need a break too,We ALL have used the Duggars for our own fodder...

  8. I'm sure the family hasn't given up and we enjoy the show. The sponsors that help pay for the show have a different opinion.
Unless TLC can gain more advertising the math isn't black to support another season. It's all about business and profits.
Hope their efforts balance the books.

    1. Perhaps they are just on the wrong channel. I love the Duggars and watched every show until TLC cancelled them. At that time I cancelled the channel and haven't had it turned back on because i realized it was the only show worth watching. Perhaps if they reinstated it in it's original form I would subscribe to the network again.

  9. Anna and Josh happy anniversary. Josh i wish you much success on continously repairing yourself, your marriage, your family, your community. Hire blessed are you to have an amazing woman by your side. I pay you spend the rest of your days showing her how much you really love and appreciate her. You have been blessed by God to have been given such a prize in the beautiful and lovely Anna. I pray you never break her heart again. Prayerfully you two will celebrate 100 more happy anniversaries together. I have a friend in a unhappy marriage and she said she made a vow to God when she said i do to her husband. I pray you keep your vow to good the way your wife did. You have been forgiven don't give them a reason like this to forgive you again. Good luck with everything. Be blessed!

  11. The family may have no plans of exiting TV, however, it is the ratings and advertisers that make the final call.

    1. I'm 13 too, but I read this blog and comment all the time, and I watch their shows too. I was upset when they canceled last year, and I"m glad that their shows are getting better and more entertaining, even though I faithfully watched them every episode last boring season.

  16. Watching Jana redo the house for Jill and wondering why Jess and Ben got the house that was full of mold and Jill got a beautiful large fancy house. Just curious.

  17. I watched every episode until the scandal broke. As a molestation by relative survivor i am discusted how the parents covered it up and let it continue then they put family in spot light. I dont like how they judge alternative lifestyles saying allowing transgenders to use bathroom they identify with would allow young girls to be abused all the while they had a son who they knew abused his sisters and relative and they did nothing and it continued. They are hypocrits. I have not watched one counting on episode. I am confused how the statutes of limitations wont allow any charges but toby willis is being charged 12 years later. The duggar parents need to be charged for incidents occuring after they found out and did nothing

    1. Josh was a juvenile at the time, Toby Willis was not. Plus that alleged victim was under a certain age. Two different laws. But yes, Josh and his parents should have done what was right, by law, before the statue of limitations ran out. They did not.
