Playing Catch-Up

During the two-week blogging break that we took in mid-June to allow Ellie's wrists to heal, we missed two important "holidays."

The first was Michael Duggar's fifth birthday on June 15th.


We posted a picture collage for Marcus Duggar's third birthday on June 2nd, but we never did share this video. Hope you enjoy it, even though it's a tad late. After you watch the video, scroll back up to take another look at Michael's picture, and you'll notice how similar the two brothers look. Happy belated birthday, boys!



Our break also fell during Father's Day. Did all the dads out there have a wonderful day celebrating? Check out this video that Jessa Seewald filmed of new dad Ben Seewald and almost-eight-month-old Spurgeon Seewald...

      I think it's a question of comfort. Michelle has probably past her childbearing days.

      I think most of her clothes look like maternity clothes. I don't see anything wrong with it. I loved my maternity clothes. They are soft and comfy.

      The woman is 50, I think her pregnancy days are over: she's a happy grandma now. :)

    Please do not classify a birthday in the same category as Father's Day. The birthday is only significant to the immediate family and is only important to them. Christian and non-Christians alike celebrate Father's Day all over this country and rightly so. Fathers are vital to the upbringing of children, and so many have not had that nurturing support and have suffered as a consequence.

    I miss Michelle!! I wish I could see all the Duggars. It's so frustrating not to be allowed to enjoy my favorite show just because others feel they need to force their opinions on me.

      I SO agree with everything you said. I love Jim Bob and Michelle they are sweet and dear parents with wonderful loving hearts and I love their whole family! Michelle has such a sweet calming voice.

      It is a cutthroat industry and opinions are what drive any network programming. Ratings, advertising, public opinion, all determine whether a show stays or goes. No one is owed is entitled to having a TV show, let alone one that runs indefinitely.
      I think the Duggars would be doing their entire family a favor by completely retreating to a life of privacy. It is not healthy to bring up children in the limelight and under a microscope of public scrutiny.

    As much as I enjoy the duggars, I don't really understand why they post videos for their kids and grands. It just seems like it's for publicity.....

      I agree. If these kids aren't even allowed on the computer, various sites, etc then why post? It's obviously for the fans.

      The Duggars have monitored internet access AND they follow this blog! this is probably why personal letters, videos dirested at kids for birthdays etc. are posted here. The Duggars do not comment or read all of the comments as far as i know but they read some so Duggar-haters GO AWAY! the Duggars themselves could read your hurtful comments!
