Israel Dillard and a friend
As we announced last week, Jill and Derick Dillard will return home to Arkansas in just a few weeks. Their stay will be temporary but will extend into the fall. While they are in the United States, the Dillards plan to take Bible classes and involve themselves in local ministry, and they will continue to work remotely for S.O.S. Ministries.
"Our time here so far has allowed us to see many hearts touched, many souls accept the redeeming love of Christ, and many sweet people helped through humanitarian efforts," Jill and Derick share via their website, dillardfamily.com. "We believe our labors until now will serve as a strong foundation for many years of wonderful ministry..."
The second reason for celebration involves an engagement. Over the weekend, Derick's brother, Dan Dillard, proposed to his girlfriend, Deena, and she said yes! Unlike Jill, Derick has a very small family. Dan is his only sibling, and his dad passed away in 2008. Derick's mom, Cathy, has since remarried.

Lily and Ellie, Could you please put NEW pics in top banner of Spurgeon and Israel and Meredith! Please and thank you! The one of Spurgeon is an odd choice of a pic to post in the banner since he is only one with mouth wide open yawning. And poor little Israel stands out because of being only one with no shirt on. Thank you both!

DeletePlease please update the 3 newest grandkids photos at top banner! No ones asking for "perfect"..but a mouth wide open in the center of pic and only one person with no shirt are both very unflattering to the whole group..thank you ahead Ellie!!

ReplyDeleteIsreal is so huge for his age, just as his grandma Kathy said Derick was.What a lucky boy to have such loving parents...breaks my heart when I think of all those who have no family or have horrible ones...Izzy sure is one blessed little fella😇

ReplyDeleteSo glad Jill and Derick are coming back home. That's wonderful that they want to help out in this crazy world we are living . But they have a baby now and could they live with themselves if he caught something from being there. Hope they think about it long and hard befor returning.

DeleteThe episode you were referring to was called "Duggars and Mothers." His girlfriend was introduced as Chesley so it isn't her.
DeleteI think it was the mothers day celebration they had at the duggars home after jill and derrick got engaged and while Cathy was in the hospital

Poor Meredith! Her birthday was on July 16th and no one said Happy Birthday to her. And people think her birthday is today, the 19th when her parents said she was born on July 16, 2015.
