Just one month after announcing their courtship, Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo have even bigger news to share. They're engaged! And season two of Counting On returns to TLC Tuesday, August 23rd, at 8pm ET/7pm CT.

DeleteI think the original poster was trying to point out that they didn't like being lied to for a television show. It seems hypocritical. It's not a matter of being nice or being jealous. It's a matter of the Duggars misrepresenting the truth for their tv show and getting paid handsomely for it.

ReplyDeleteThey say they've been talking since May 2015 and courting since Dec 2015 so not THAT fast.. They timed the courtship announcement to get another season of the show. Plus I think after the Marjorie thing they wanted to be sure this one stuck first.

ReplyDeleteMaybe a short ANNOUNCED courting. You know how they like to hide things and then bring them out right in time for a TV show or special. Their life is one big PR event, and everything is time for optimum ratings.

It says the color is apricot but the pics make it appear beige. May not be your style. But so happy that now you will be looking for the perfect dress for your once in a lifetime magical day. Again Congrats and may you and Mr. Jeremy go and have tons of magical times together.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I saw Christmas trees in the background. So they have been engaged for a while now. Why all the lies? I k ow they have a show to promote but that doesn't mean thier lives stop until they pick up filming again. I'm happy for her. He seems...well I'm happy for her.

DeleteI think they got engaged sometime in May or June, or at least staged and filmed that scene in New York then. Many clues in that picture, including weather, lighting, greenery, etc.
DeleteI think a lot of "reality" shows are scripted. Anyway, Jinger is my favorite, and they make a lovely couple. It would have been nice to have seen at least one of the girls break out of the mold and moved out on their own, but I don't know if that is allowed or not. It seems like the Bates girls have more freedom.

DeleteIt's not a fake background. Discovery Communications (TLC parent co.) has headquarters in NYC. The Duggars have gone there before to hash out their contracts or to film something. Not surprised they'd be in the city for "some other reason" and then film this engagement scene at the same time.
DeleteIt takes time to tape a show and get it ready for TV. Every 'reality show' is edited. If people don't understand this by now...well, that is their issue not those doing the 'reality show.' And they do go back in and do face to camera so that would be scripted. I am sure that subject matter is suggested too. But it is their life...now there are some 'reality' shows that want 'drama' ... like 'over-the-top' drama!!!! And yes, those are pre-taped too.

I remember he was in the background of a picture at the Duggars that was online this past winter, but nobody really knew who he was or why he was there. Not sure when that picture was taken, either. ReplyDeleteWhy is that every time a dugger gets engaged potential spouse's family is never to be found? Shouldn't this be a family thing not just a dugger thing? Just remember u will see old news when the show comes back. You already know shes engaged now she's probably married and pregnant.
