It has been 24 hours since Jinger Duggar announced her New York City engagement to Jeremy Vuolo, and we couldn't be happier for the soon-to-be married couple. They have not yet revealed their wedding date, but when and if they do, we will share it with you all right away.
Jessa and Ben Seewald, who were at the proposal, created a short video in honor of the exciting milestone. Jessa and Jinger have been best friends since childhood, so it is fitting that Jessa and Ben were the ones who introduced Jinger and Jeremy.
Jill, Derick, and Israel Dillard also offered their congratulations, all the way from Central America. They will be returning to the United States very soon for a visit that will extend into the fall (more on that here).
The Dillards also sent a video message to Derick's brother, Dan Dillard, and his fiance, Deena. As we announced last week, Dan and Deena are also newly engaged.

DeleteJosiah's courtship happened right before the Josh scandals. Once everything came out the young lady ran for the hills and the courtship was mutually called off.

ReplyDeleteEllie and Lilly, would you please blog that Jeremy and Hunger had been introduced and exploring the relationship God has for them since May of 2015?
A lot of stories out there stating unkind and untrue statements that this couple went from meeting to courtship to engaged since May of 2016 or in just 5 weeks.
Why do individuals have to be so unkind? Even if it were 5 weeks, many marriages have been Christ centered and God honoring. When God shows you the right person for your life it works.
So tired of the People who do not report the correct facts. If posted on "Official Blog" then false stories will be shut down. People can call them on inaccurate facts!
So excited for Hunger and Jeremy! They look so happy and May God grant them the love, the wisdom and the heart for a future and ministry together.

Jill & Derick are not in the mission house in C.A. in those videos. They are somewhere with different woodwork and what looks like a security system or other electronic home management system on the wall.

Hey, I noticed that about Derick's teeth, too. I sure hope he can get that fixed. It can't be healthy to have such misalignment of the jaw.

DeleteCongratulations! I think it is wonderful for the couples to be pure and modest. Also the reason for chaperones is not only to make sure the fleshly person not take over because being in love can cause one not to think straight; also there are no questions of purity with a chaperone. Again Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteJeremy is not pure or has a modest past. He IS a born again Christian so I think the Duggars arevtryingvto get the message across that they accept those who have sinned in the past but can turn thier life around to Christ.

The house where the Dillards live in Central America has no hot water or high water pressure. there is a shower. this is probably why their hair is not the cleanest.

This hurts me alot to know Joshua is receiving help and no one in the world can be greatfull for his accomplishments. I miss watching your family grow up. I will continue to keep your family in my prayers and to wish for the UP channel and the advertiser's to see that your family shows gods values and love. What Joshua did was wrong, but it should never have gotten as big as it did. Stephen Collins played a minister on a show. They showed his story once on tv and done. This is not fair. DeleteIf they are taking the bible literally about the whole women not wearing men's clothing and using that as their reason not to wear pants...why is it ok for Derick to have long hair and wear it in a ponytail? I see that as a man doing a woman thing. Opinions?
