Hot off the press...We are thrilled to share two exciting Duggar announcements with you all!
First off, Jinger Duggar is courting! Secondly, Jill and Jessa: Counting On returns to TLC later this summer (premiere date to be announced soon).
Jinger was introduced to her boyfriend, Jeremy Vuolo, in May 2015 by her sister Jessa Seewald and brother-in-law Ben Seewald. Following a mission trip that both Jinger and Jeremy went on, Jeremy asked Jim Bob Duggar's permission to pursue a friendship with Jinger. The two are now officially in a courtship.
"We are very excited to begin this journey together," Jeremy tells PEOPLE Magazine.
After attending Syracuse University, Jeremy, who is 28 years old, played professional soccer for the New York Red Bulls and the San Antonio Scorpions. He recently stepped away from athletics to enter full-time ministry and is currently serving as the pastor at a small church in Laredo, Texas.

ReplyDeleteI'm excited for Jinger, I just wished that they didn't sound so scripted whenever they talk about "dating" and "courting". Couldn't they say, yea I thought he was super attractive and let that be okay? The more I have watched the Duggar's vs Bates families, I find the Bate's to be more inclusive of others around them. They really let them blaze their own path and all these girls come across as cookie cutter and trapped.

They also probably single handedly saved the show, it was pretty boring last season and I doubt it would of been renewed if they couldn't provide some kind of big news. DeleteI do not believe in sheltering anyone. Teach, guide, shelter "little children from harm, yes yes yes. Teaching and guiding children, teaching them to love The Lord, and then allowing them the freedom to explore the world and meet people. That is what I believe. Talking, working and learning from people of different backgrounds actually strengthens our faith. I believe in allowing adult children to make their own decisions in life, even if it doesn't agree with their parents'. It's called growing and learning. Adults should be allowed to go on "dates" with their potential partners without a chaperone. If they want to stay pure, they will. A 28 year old man who is a pastor, should not need a chaperone.
DeleteI agree with Heidi. Every generation needs to form their own new ideas, not blindly stick with what their parents did or what their parents want. That is no way to grow or improve. If that worked, we would all be living in covered wagons or wearing bonnets and petticoats, and women wouldn't be allowed to vote or hold elected office. The worst thing a parent can do is hold their children back or shelter them too much. Or only teach them one set of ideas, and not let them find out other ideas for themselves.

ReplyDeleteWell i am glad for Jinger. I have a feeling that these two are good for each other. I can so see Jinger as a soccer mum driving to the game on a cold morning, stopping for coffee on the way. Sitting in the audience, drinking some more coffee keeping warm - totally up her ally. And she get to marry a preacher man as well but thankfully in a smaller church - so she can grow into being a pastors wife - no small task. I am also glad that he approached her ( father ), and not her him - as given all the ups and downs in the duggar family over the last year or so, this says that he values her for who she is and not what others around her have done and he is able to take that all in his stride. Well done Jinger - you even get to live in the city -as you wished.

ReplyDeleteAnd according to Google, Laredo Texas is 95.6% Hispanic. Hopefully Jinger can speak Spanish! Jeremy is very anti-gay, so he fits in with the Duggar Family. I don't know how Michelle can be so anti-gay when her own sister is gay. Surely, Michelle can see, through her sister, that being gay is how you are born, it is not a choice. This whole family has to ask God to help them accept everyone as a human being, regardless of how they were born.

The scandal of one brother cast such a large shadow over the rest of his siblings that I was worried they'd struggle to get back into the light and joy of their own lives apart from him and his issues. She's a sweetheart and I have loved watching her grow up on this show. Can't wait to watch Counting On. Continuing to pray for the family that they can just 'let go and let God' and have peace.

I hope they both can retain that privacy as they move forward and his ministry isn't jeopardize due to a shift of focus with people wanting to invade.

I'm not worried about Jana as some readers seem to be. She is a lovely soft spoken and strong woman. She will find her mate when it's time. As she said last season, "I don't want to settle". No woman should have too.

Delete8:31pm, the Bible also says people who commit adultery should be put to death, yet I don't see anyone pushing for that to happen. The current laws of our land wouldn't allow it. So do you accept everything the Bible says as absolute and final truth? You would support a death penalty for being unfaithful?

The bible is written according to the jewish calendar - there fore when you read it according to this you get more out of it - it is more profiable . In addition to this if you begin to study passages of the bible using the jewish language it will take you even deeper.
ReplyDeleteI did this with genesis - when God made the heavens and earth - and from this when i got the the passage about adam and eve being made. i understood what marriage truely meant and why it is between a man and an woman. When you water something down you lose its true value - its full value. When you put things back into context and find its orginal true meaning. Gay people are people who have lost their true identity. They have been told a lie and they believe it. When you are told a lie and you believe it ( what you sow is what your reap ) and act on it and eventually You become it- in the prcocess you lose your identity. The first lie people are told is that they are born gay - they couldnt help it. If this were so then their own personal genetics could be linked back thousands of years to Gay creation. There is no Gay creation as two women or two men cannot reproduce another human being together using only their own genetics/ dna etc. This is impossible to do. i recently had to explain to a younger generation, that two male bears cannot make another bear you need one male bear and one female bear to do this and thus produce another generation. being Gay is a choice based on belief that has been sown and reaped in the heart of mankind not something that has been genetically inherited from a direct ancestral lineage.
The reason that it is afront to God is that it perverts or inverts the orginal design of a Man and Woman coming together to NATURALLY produce ofspring. It was one of Gods first commands to go forth and multiply. He gave them everything they needed within themselves to do this when he first made man kind. Mankind chose to throw this away and it now causes mankind hurt and harm and suffering by not chosing to follow this path.
God does not hate people who chose as an act of their will to be Gay rather he really wants them to turn around and come back to him so they can see themselves as he truely sees them as children of the of the living God- and claim their inheritance - their identity being in Christ ( the Truth ) and not in what others have told them they are ( the Lie ). Knowing who your are in Christ is really important. I call these people the lost tribe.
I am glad that the Duggars and others such as the Seewalds and Vuolo stand up for righteousness for his name sake.
