Happy Mother's Day!

Hope all the mommies out there had a blessed Mother's Day! How did you celebrate?

If you are a long-time follower of the Duggars, you know that the family loves making personalized YouTube videos for special occasions. Here are three that they shared with Michelle Duggar--mom of 19--in honor of Mother's Day:

Joseph Duggar, Josiah Duggar, Jedidiah Duggar, Jason Duggar, Justin Duggar, and Jackson Duggar:

Mackynzie Duggar, Michael Duggar, Marcus Duggar, and Meredith Duggar:

Jill and Derick Dillard:

  1. Why did Mackynsie, Michael, and Marcus leave out Anna. After all she is there mother...not Michelle. They treat Michelle like she is some sort of goddess all because she was really proficient at procreation. Would have been respectful for Anna to have at the very least been acknowledged.

    1. The post stated that these were just some of the personalized videos for Michelle Duggar. This means: 1. These aren't the only videos...just the ones the owner of this blog chose to share.
      2. These videos are for Michelle Duggar...not necessarily for all the other moms related to this family. It's ok for Anna's kids to wish their paternal grandmother Happy Mother's Day. It doesn't mean they didn't wish their mother, or their maternal grandmother or their great grandmother or their aunts a Happy Mother's Day!

    2. I think Anna is the one making the video so therefor this video was for Michelle.... Especially if they didn't get to spend Mother's Day with Michelle.

    3. Why would Anna or anyone put that online? If it's to go to Michelle, then it should have gone to just her.

  2. Happy Belated Mother's Day to all the Duggar Moms...

  3. Happy Mothers Day, Michelle, you are so blessed by all your wonderful children, Happy Mothers Day Anna, your little ones are growing so fast, spend every moment with them that you can as they grow up too fast. Happy Mothers Day Jill, it is so wonderful to see you following your mother's example, you are a wonderful mom. Happy Mothers Day Jessa, welcome to the world of motherhood. Spurgeon is such a wonderful baby. Again ladies spend as much time as you can with your children and follow the greatest example you can, your mom and Heavenly Father.

  4. Happy Mother's Day Anna! I believe your children forgot to include you in their message. I can only hope, Anna, that you were celebrated too.

  6. Do you think Anna took the kids and went to FL? The setting of the video looks like warm and southernly to me.

    1. She might have. She also could be the one taking the video because I heard her chuckle faintly at the end.

  8. I love hearing Josh & Anna children. They are too cute! All the big kids did great too. I loved hearing the boys talk about the Momma.

  9. Not so sure why everyone is showing video messages especially if they live in the same house...a self made card would make more sense. And it would be an opportunity for the little ones to practice writing!!

  10. It could be that this particular video was made for Grandma Michelle and that Anna was taping it. Happy belated Mother's Day to all mothers!

  14. What is wrong with Derick? His appearance, dark circles under his eyes, bad speech, his eyes look quite dead...sorry, but this is not cosmetic criticism of the man, but real concern for him. Something is wrong.

    1. Derick should speak up Grandma might be hard of hearing!

    2. I totally agree with you, something is not right...unless it is something as simple as poor hygiene and lack of proper nutrition and sleep.

  17. Why are these videos online? They are personal messages between family members. Why the need to post them for the world to see? I find that offensive and self-serving.

    1. They are proud and want to shout it to the rooftops, as it should be, if i had that platform, i would want the world to know too.

  18. What is the change in Derick? Clothes wise. Why this choice. He looks like a hippie, and not a someone who looks like a Christian man at all. Why did they change?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Very judgemental of you to decide that Derick doesn't look like a Christian. So, what in your eyes SHOULD a Christian look like? Thought only what's in your heart is all that mattered? You ask, Why did they change? I'm sure "they", meaning Jill and Derick, are the same people inside! Since when does a beard change a person on the inside?

    2. "Looks like a Christian man"?? Please tell us what a Christian man looks like! I didn't know you could identify one based solely on facial hair and t-shirt type! I wonder would you think my husband a "Christian man" when he's in his shorts tossing a football with our sons. Or maybe you'd think him a heathen when he's ministering in the local high school in sweatpants, loose shirt & a baseball cap. I bet you'd recognize him with his blonde hair and blue eyes when he's in front of our church in his slacks & shirt and tie giving a ministry update or at the elders mtg but accuse him of losing his salvation when he's in jeans & a T-shirt taking the young people he works with to a concert to hear artists like Flame & Andy Mineo and Lacrae who teach the words of Paul, Peter and yes even Jesus through a sound & method that they can understand, feel encouraged by and relate to. Oh! I'm so ashamed of you who call yourselves Christian but then condemn anyone who doesn't worship or dress the same way you do...cause we all know that's where salvation truly lies...not in the cleansing power of Jesus blood!

    3. What's not Christian about the way he looks? How should a Christian look, in your book? Please cite Bible verses, as that is our Authority.

      Delete
    4. OK...I am the first to say don't judge a book by its cover...that Christians are Christians only by receiving Jesus as their Savior....but....for all those getting snippy about questioning Derick's new and ever changing looks...C'mon now!! He has clearly done a 360 degree turn from the original super conservative appearance. The truth is he looks bad. He looks unhealthy. He looks unkempt. If this is just a personal preference then so be it, but don't judge those who have been long time fans for being genuinely concerned--whether for his emotional or physical well-being.

    5. What was he doing maybe he wanted his hair back because he was cooking, or working, it is just his hair back, take it easy already.

      Delete
    6. Didn't most men wear beards in Bible times, including probably Jesus himself?

      Delete
  19. Again, they are posting videos that should be private for publicity. The videos are for Michelle and yet she is not the mother to Anna's kids nor of Anna either. Did Anna made a video for her own mother? How about Jim Bob? Did he do something special for his mom? Derick? Did he make a video for his mother?

Mother's Day is not grandmom day or mother-in-law day. In keeping with the Duggars' views on family, where is Michelle's video wishing her daughters, daughter-in- law and mother-in-law happy Mother's Day?

  20. Thank you for sharing those sweet videos. Michelle, what a testimony to your mothering. Those were the sweetest words shared by your children. I pray you were encouraged and blessed this Mother's day. We continue to lift your family up in prayer.

  21. I have a question... Why are there so many haters out there ? Just take these sweet, precious videos for what they are. Loving messages to a very beloved woman. I,for one, love messages from my grandbabies and I loved having my babies send messages to my mom. Please stop being so negative. If this blog bothers you so much, stop reading it. God bless all of you Duggars and, yes, even God bless the haters...

  22. I think there's a difference between having a different opinion (& stating it as such) and accusing and/or tearing down. Fully acknowledging that I am merely a fan and not the owner of this blog nor an expert on all things Duggar; I would like to say that it's hurtful as a fan & follower of Christ to see so many accusatory and just plain ignorant statements made on here. I avoid the tabloids and the FB page for that very reason. To come here believing this to be a place where legitimate questions can be asked, encouraging words be written and accurate updates be found but also read so much offensive, inaccurate, accusitorial remarks is sad. For example...with this Mother's Day post people clearly don't understand that these videos are not posted by the Duggars themselves and then make statements like "...they treat Michelle like some sort of goddess all because she was really good at procreating..." That's just mean! So her grandkids wished her a happy Mother's Day....shame on them for loving their grandmother right? And the same with the comment at 10:59. Or even all the comments surrounding Ben & Jessa with Flame and the "issue" of dancing. The Bible clearly does not condemn dancing and even Jim Bob & Michelle have made it clear that not dancing is their personal conviction not law from the word of God. It's just sad to me that so many people come here to bash them instead of asking questions (that don't have a "duh" kind of answer) and offering encouragements...wish is what the Duggars consistently do!

  27. Do parents not teach their children not to scream anymore? I've noticed for some strange reason parents think it's cute or funny when their children just shout. I don't care if they were outside...screeching is never a pleasant sound.

  28. Quite an interesting post on mother’s day! Loved reading this post. I too had a great time with my mom on this year’s mother’s day. We visited one of her favorite food venues Chicago for brunch and then attended a dinner party.
