ReplyDeleteI've been at a solemn and moving ceremony that brought tears. Nothing "happy" about it.
ReplyDeleteHope your family is doing well. With lots of children, I hope that boredom doesn't play a damaging role. That seems to be the biggest issue in raising children. The enemy seems to actually be not over there but in ourselves. I read "primary treasure" sometimes, and encourage other little activities to keep young ones busy and trained to good character. http://raggedycottagegarden.blogspot.com/

ReplyDeleteToday my family and I celebrated by having a barbecue! :) It was an awesome time for fellowship and being together.
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful for those in the service who have honored our country by laying their lives down, just like Jesus who laid his life down for us, so that we may have eternal life! HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY Lily and Ellie!

ReplyDeleteWe went to an excellent Memorial Day parade. It was so well-organized, so respectful, and did what a Memotial Day should do - honor our veterans and those currently serving. No ridiculous candy throwing with kids shoving and pushing; no puffed-up politicians; no goofy clown cars. It was dignified and honored those who truly deserve our thanks.

ReplyDeleteWhat do throwback pics of the kids have to do with Memorial Day? It would be different if they were actually pics of how this family celebrates Memorial Day or honors Veterans. This is just a photo op...here's some more pictures of our kids to drum up interest/viewers. So disappointed!

ReplyDeleteMy son, who serves in the Air Force, is home for a week. When he returns to his base, my daughters and I are going to hit the road to see his twin brother graduate from basic training! My sons are continuing the family tradition of military service, and I am so honored to be their mother.
