love the whole gang
ReplyDeleteWhat a great family and super show!
DeleteI love watching the Duggars and I also like seeing Jim Bob and Michelle and would like to see more of them.
ReplyDeleteAgree! Missing seeing the entire family. Especially with the Duggars convictions of family, watching only the Duggar kids without dad and mom is very unusual and out of balance. There needs to be no and dad Duggar too...
DeleteI love the Duggars, Yes, real upset at Josh, how one person can affect so many...However, blaming the rest of the family s wrong & unfair !
ReplyDeleteYou can rank it all you like but the series in growing more boring each week. Sorry but it has to be said
ReplyDeleteI love all their shows but got rid of cable in my house, I watch online on discovery go when available but not all episodes are does those views show in rating #s?
ReplyDeleteI do love the Duggars but right now I don't think it's time for them to come back as "The Duggars" yet. I think it's still to fresh with what has happen to Josh. I enjoy watching Counting On and it does show Mr. and Mrs. Duggar for a bit. For now I do think they need to stay out of the Lime Light and let themselves heal. Josh is home now I feel Anna, Josh the kids and Mr. and Mrs. Duggar need to all stay out of the Lime Light. Anna and Josh need ALOT of healing and trust built back up in their marriage and with God in Control it can be done. Lots of prayers for this family. Mr. and Mrs. Duggar you have been hit hard with blame for not taking care of Josh awhile back. I understand we all want to protect our children. But you had many children to consider and Josh should have been removed from the home for years to heal. I love you all and pray for you always. For Josh and Anna. My ex-husband was addict to pron and had affairs. I tried but he just couldn't drop it....after 40 years he still has a problem and has actually come to abusive. I had to get out to keep my boys safe and I praise the Lord I did. They were young and I know it was in God's plan because to this day this man is not well. I to this day this man is not well. His own children (which he has 4 grown children from 2 marriages) There are grandchildren now and he is estranged from our two sons and grandchildren and headed that way with his other children. Please Mr. and Mrs. Duggar, Anna seek healing before going back on Television. Praying for you all. God is gracious and good.
ReplyDeleteTouching testimony, and I'm glad you stepped away for your sake & for the sake of your children. That took courage.
DeleteAgree Anna should stay off TV. It's been hard to imagine why she would go on TV and talk about her husband. Most would want to run and hide from the cameras.
DeleteI agree. I love them but I can no longer bring myself to watch anything with any of them in it. They need to retreat from the "lime light" as "Caring" wrote, above.
DeleteThe Duggars beat all other programming as far as I am concerned.
ReplyDeleteThe views don't count if you DVR or watch it On Demand right?
ReplyDeleteAwesome stats! <3 you guys, and lots of others too, apparently!! God Bless you all :)
ReplyDeleteLAWSON IS BESIDE JINGER IN THE TOP PICTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I seriously hope they're dating
ReplyDeleteI noticed it right away
DeleteI really don't say this in a mean way, but, Lawson Bates is too much in love with Lawson Bates to court anybody! LOL!!
DeleteThat would b great!!!! Let's have another Duggar wedding and baby
DeleteI hadn't noticed that! Good catch! :)
DeleteI think you're right! And I don't see anyone else from his family in that pic. Verrry interesting. :)
DeleteThat was at Amy and Dillion King wedding!
DeleteThat is an old picture.
DeleteOh wow! Standing next to each other? They must be getting married then!Or maybe they already did!!!!
DeleteThank you, Lily and Ellie for you devotion to this family, this blog, and to your readers. You are blessed to be a blessing to others. Barb
ReplyDeleteI love the show lets keep it on the air
ReplyDeleteWell I am watching with my family and I wish there was a way to raise the numbers but I don't know what that would be. If TLC cancels it i will be very disappointed but it won't be the fault of the girls or the Duggar family. As Christians we are being marginalized in this society and this is one of the symptoms of it.
ReplyDeleteSo very true. :(
DeleteWell now, the way i see it statically there are still quite a few viewers to keep the show afloat, now its up to the fans to contact TLC for some suggestions that will hopefully help make positive changes to future episodes...example,lets ask them to stop all the repetitive flashbacks from the week before and the previews for the upcoming episod...more content per episode.Suggest show ideas, if they get enough of us all saying pretty much the same thing it might just make a difference.Come on fans let's do this😀Blessings☻
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, unless advertizers are willing to run their ads during any Duggar program, all the viewers in the world would not afford TLC to run the show for free. TLC has to generate income through advertizing and this show is not. Someone suggested pay-per-view - I think that's a great idea. The people who really want to watch should be willing to pay for it.
DeleteSo in other words, you don't like the show & the way it is now.
DeleteAgreed! Some episodes are painful to watch because TLC repeats the contents so many times! I'm sure there's plenty more they could share if they took out the constant reviews. We didn't forget anything durjng the commercial break, TLC! ;)
DeleteI agree the episode when Jessa and Ben go to see South America I so wanted to see more in South America and the work they are doing over there. Most of the show was flashbacks.
DeleteTo anonymous at 6:04pm, I didn't say that I dindnt like the show,I am grateful for it being back on at all,a little is better than nothing...However, I do see room for improvement, it seems by the comments that the majority of us fans feel about the same way.Maybe by giving TLC some possitive feedback and some ideas on future shows it might help keep the series going. We fans have all the power by tuning in, so why not take our suggestions into consideration. That's all...peace and blessings.
DeleteOh, AND A BIG THANK YOU to Lilly and Ellie for the statistics and for continuing this factual classy blog🤗We love you💙💚💛💜❤
ReplyDeletei still love this family.
ReplyDeleteMy family and I love the Duggars! Wish we lived next door so that we could continue learning and spiritually growing! My children would enjoy playing with their children. :-) I am overjoyed that TLC has Counting On with Jill and Jessa.
ReplyDeleteI still love the Duggars!! None of us are prefect, and if God can forgive who are we to not forgive!!
ReplyDeleteMy family and I love the Duggars! We wish we were their neighbors so that we could have Christian encouragement and guidance on a daily basis. My children would love to be able to have the younger Duggars as playmates. Overjoyed that TLC has Counting On with Jill and Jessa. We are fans for life!
ReplyDeletewe love you!! Keep your faith it will be just fine!!
ReplyDeleteNot sure what the point is of giving us these stastics. Perhaps its to bring attention to TLC that
ReplyDelete19 Kids amd Counting was better received and viewed than Counting On, but that should be of no surprise to anyone. Who ever is comming up with the later's segments is setting them up for failure. The shows are too predictable and lack energy, just plain boring. But then 19 kids and Counting had a few duds too, but at least with all the youug kids, not everything was predictable. I wish they were back on, but with an UP tv style and focus.
I agree the shows are so predictable and show the same seens over and over again. It looks more set up than before. I love watching them but I see my self less interested in the show. I hope it gets back on track.
DeleteThis show is about 19 kids.LET THE VIEWERS decide to watch or not. I find it very humorous this is nothing like the mess ups the other reality shows! Simply, let the viewers decide the final outcome. I also feel that advertising problems is taking away my freedom to watch this show.
ReplyDeleteI just prefer the whole family. That's what we were used to. I want to see the family house again and the family gathered there. If Josh must be out for awhile (understandable) But what large family does not include the parents when traveling and building a large fort or tree house using big equipment.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really sure why you are showing this... I mean I get it that ratings have gone way down, but still. This seems rather negative to post.
ReplyDeleteI dint think lily and Ellie intended this post to be negative. They've done an awesome keeping this blog up and filtering comments! I think they posted the numbers to simply show them and to help compare to the original show. These are hard facts and while it does show decrease in viewers there are still a LOT of viewers...
DeleteI Love to watch Jill& Jessa & 19 counting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDonna Iavarone
It's just my opinion but I think that Counting On has gotten more boring with each episode. the adult children really don't have much going on nor do they have much to say. . I don't think I would watch another season.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. I am very bored with the same cover stations and themes: who may be next to court, engagements, marriage, babies. Yawn.
DeleteI agree. I'm very glad to have the Duggars back on the air. And I am a loyal viewer. However, the shows have become incredibly boring.
DeleteLots of people WOULD watch and tell others to watch if the kids moved to a big city and work and study at a university!
DeleteLol that goes against every Duggar rule that there is!
Delete18-49 sorry I don't count I love this show I still shop, eat go on vacations I'm 65 and love y'all show.....
ReplyDeleteKeep the Duggars and Seewalds and Dillard's on TV. The fans who watch are faithful fans. It's fun watching some of the others as they grow up. I'm so proud of y'all for jumping back out there for Jesus. To do that in our own human strength would hardly be likely. If you live with "just one more for Jesus" nothing else really matters.
ReplyDeleteHang in there! There are many who love you. You touched many lives. I hope and pray this continues.
Can't produce and air a program for free! There aren't enough businesses willing to advertize this show. TLC can't run ANY show for free! They are running a business and must make a profit. Why don't viewers understand that?
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteRanking is only compared to other cable shows. The more telling ranking would be against other shows in their time slot.
DeletePlus, ranking in the 18 to 49 age group is a good predictor of the success of any advertisement shown during the show as that is the age group that buys the most.
Even though, the ranking is low. It will probably not be renewed.
Love this show but I do miss seeing the whole family. The stats seems ok on their own but are much lower than 19 Kids. I wonder what TLC's viewership goal is?
ReplyDeleteHave loved catching up with the Duggars. There is no need to change the current format. Continue the show as Counting On as this is just the season the family is in now. Love watching, enjoy watching this family and their grace in navigating life.
ReplyDeleteI love the duggars i want it back on.
ReplyDeleteI like the shows. I have to tape them but I like what I see. I see the age group is to 49 lol I'm 53!
ReplyDeleteI really don't know what those stars mean; since you don't list what the other TLC gained during the same evening. Could you please post their ratings?
ReplyDeleteIf the Duggars could be honest; I'd enjoy their show more.
ReplyDeleteLove the show and so glad it's back on tv.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be watching but we don't have cable. Love the Duggars and pray for them.
ReplyDeleteI'm unable to watch on Tuesday nights because of my work schedule but you can be sure I watch on demand on Wednesday. Hope that counts.
ReplyDeleteThese are quite good numbers but I wonder how many viewers there are in the same time slot for other shows.
ReplyDeleteI love the Duggars there an inspiration to me I hope they'll come back I hope the advertisements look at it from my point of view and others we love them we love the family and we understand that they have problems just like we do they are an inspiration and I can't wait to see the next season thank you Duggar family and all sharing that you do to us we are great role models thank you
ReplyDeleteI like to look at the positive - the show is consistently in the top 15-20! :)
ReplyDeleteFrom what II read online TLC is using the same film footage over to have memroir clips in the new shows. So no wonder the ratings are dropping. I found TLCs rehashing the same film footage over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over to be too repetitive...
ReplyDeleteLove the duggars please dont take them away from me please.....
ReplyDeleteI miss my babies, Johanna, Jordan, baby Josie and the whole family sso much. Thanks for helping helping me get through my terrible illness, it's been a long struggle, I so wish I could see them all again now!
ReplyDeleteXoxoo, Sylvie.
I wish TLC would bring back 19 Kids, I miss seeing the whole family. As a new mom, I especially miss hearing Michelle's words of wisdom and the overall level of calm she always projects. She was so encouraging to me. Although I will still watch Counting On if it is renewed, the stats don't look too promising in regards to a 2nd season, but I hope there will be one.
ReplyDeleteI love both shows! Wish 19 Kids and Counting would come back on!
ReplyDeleteI love all of the duggars. I do miss seeing all of the family but people are judging them and its truly sad. so many claim to be Christians yet here we sit with judgment from our peers when that's not the Christian way. so the bible taught me. such a sad state we are in ....
ReplyDeleteIt's completely appropriate to judge the Duggars for exploiting their young children.
DeleteSo happy I can watch all the episodes! Thankyou! Greetz
ReplyDeleteI love the Duggars, but I don't think Counting On is anywhere near as interesting as 19 kids and Counting. I can't really figure out why.....
ReplyDeleteI agree. My thought is that the thing that made them famous in the first place was how many kids they had, and 19 Kids and Counting had that family dynamic. Counting On is basically the equivalent of a celebrity family who gets a reality TV show because they're famous. I'm not trying to hate on the Duggars or anything, I like them a lot, but that's just my viewpoint.
DeleteI very seldom comment, but after repeatedly seeing the advertising for other shows on TLC, not sure if staying with TLC is a good option.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love them... so thankful. What parent wouldn't go back and do some things differently. Christians are so judged - by people that don't even live by the Word of God themselves... These people will always judge. This family is amazing. To have only one struggling out if 19... Pretty awesome ratio. Joshua can be made whole. Joshua your name means Jehovah is generous. Jehovah saves. He is with you. Be strong in the Lord and the Power of His might.
ReplyDeleteLove you guys and I pray for you.
Christians are judged by other christians, mostly. Who exactly "judges" other christians? Most of the posters on this site really have no idea what they're talking about...facts don't matter.
DeleteI've loved The Duggers from day one. I think their family is very wholesome and they are very close. I would love to see them back on t.v. regardless of all their trials and tribulations. They are human and we all make mistakes. I'm sure god will forgive them for any mistakes they make in their lives.
ReplyDeleteThe stats clearly show that the show is in trouble. TV is a business and like any business, you need to make a profit or at least break even. Advertisers look at theses numbers and decided that they will reach more people by having their commercials aired on other shows.
ReplyDeleteAnd TLC cannot produce this show just out of the goodless of their heart. They have to pay the production staff, the film crew and the various people who are on the show and work on the show.
If the Duggars feel so strongly that they need this TV to spread their views, do it for free.
The Duggars could easily set up a YouTube Channel. Some of the boys (Jeremiah?) were shown to be interested in media.
DeleteWhat I get from those numbers is that the show is not drawing as many viewers as before, which doesn't surprise me.
ReplyDeleteThe bell curve of those stats is interesting. "Think I'll watch this...no, not going to now...OK, maybe this almost-final episode." Up & down numbers. Jinger's episode was rock-bottom, although it got a fair amount of after-press when the identity of the car "buyer" was revealed.
Keep the Duggars ,Seewalds and Dillard's on TV they are a very interesting Family
ReplyDeleteThe numbers look great and I loved this new season. I like the new focus on the girls ...the next generation. I especially like all the trips down memory lane with old footage. It was like looking at home movies. Keep up the good work tlc.
ReplyDeleteBring back 19 kids and counting
ReplyDeleteBring Jim Bob and Michelle back and ratings will go back up. Miss them!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for mom and dad to come back on the show. The family is an awesome family who loves God. Tell me a family that has no problems or issues with life and I will show you that the family is not alive. We all make mistakes but lets love each other and continue to be a family. I am so glad they are back and want them to bring Jim and Michelle back.
ReplyDeleteI liked 19 Kids and Counting. I like Jill and Jessa Counting On even more. I like the way the program focuses on the lives of the older Duggar kids. It's fun to get a sense of who they are as individuals, and their interests and talents. They aren't just little clones of their parents. Jill and Jessa is actually a better show.
ReplyDeleteI love the Duggar family! I record the new shows & watch it the following morning while getting ready for work. Clean, honest, enjoyable shows. The Duggar are kind, God loving people that I admire very much. Michele is such an encouragement & I really miss seeing her on tv. Hope their shows continue, and new ones are made.:-) Thank you for sharing your family with us <3
ReplyDeleteI think some of the future life events would be interesting to see. It would be better to get a sense of the whole family by including all of them and their Dad and Mom.
ReplyDeleteI love this family please come back to tv all of you!!!!
ReplyDeleteBring them back. Enjoy watching the show.
ReplyDeleteMiss seeing you all on tv blessings to you all xx
ReplyDeleteMiss the show so much xx
ReplyDelete
