  1. One of these days, Spurgeon is going to roll off that sofa while unattended and give them all a big surprise!

  2. They're still fixated on those diapers and who changes them, aren't they? Can't imagine going through only 3 or 4 diapers a day! Someone's not quite keeping count. Jessa's number is more accurate.

    1. Jessa doesn't have much to talk about because she keeps going back to the diapers and the changing of diapers. Do both of them really get up in the middle of the night to feed and change one kid?

    1. Then they should stop doing negative things.

    2. Anonymous- No offense intended here, but this is a public discussion forum and the blog owners have made it clear that people are free to express their opinions civilly. It seems as though some posters here have crossed over into idolatry, elevating the Duggars to god-like status, and vilifying anyone who dares speak against them or question any thing they do. The truth is that the Duggars are human beings who are going to make mistakes (like leaving a baby unattended on a couch or laying him on a pile of warm lit Christmas lights to take a great picture). The world needs to see that Christians make mistakes AND learn from them by the grace of God. Christians need the grace of God too...and we certainly need to show it to those who may not agree with our opinions. Thank you!

  5. I support the Duggars and think they are an inspirational family. So I'm disappointed to find myself bored with this series. I blame the producers. Not that I want them to sensationalize anything, I'm just surprised at how slow-paced some of the episodes feel.

    1. I find that without the whole family dynamic, including the parents and the little kids, they're just not that interesting. The novelty was the huge family, how they ran the home and all interacted. That's what they're missing. It's basically just a show about young adult girls now.

    2. I think the only thing that makes the Duggars a "unique" family is their mega size and ultra conservatism. Unfortunately, being stay at home moms and not exactly working dads don't make for very exciting entertainment.

  6. An infant that only goes through 3-4 diapers a day? That may be a first.

  7. I cannot get over how they just leave Spurgeon on the couch!!! Ben is packing a suitcase, and then goes into the bedroom, then Jessa and Ben are in the kitchen talking about how many diapers to pack, and Spurgeon is still alone on the couch. I'd be terrified that he'd fall off. Even when babies don't roll over, they still manage to move.

  9. I wish Ben would just wear a clean shirt that fits properly without a message on it.

  10. TLC----packing = boring. We've seen it enough.

  11. When will they stop leaving this baby unattended?

  12. Why don't they have that baby in a pack'n play? Jessa should know better and so should Ben for that matter because he has younger siblings.

    1. Packing snacks, because there is nothing to eat in Central America and you must import granola bars.

  14. I'm afraid I thought the same thing. I usually support the Daggers/Dillards/Seewalds in all they do but The leaving on the couch and thinking they only go through 3 or 4 diapers leave me at odds. In so many instances Ben seems clueless. Is it because he is young or because he just isnt "with it." It seems like Jessa has to gently and lovingly correct him on so many things - even the obvious issues like diapers and pacing for himself. He just seems to be foundering. He has high expectations for ministry, and his devotion and the Bible is so admirable. Plus he is a nice guy. But it takes more than that to be a minister. I feel like Ben isn't called to lead a church or preach. I hope he finds a fit for him.

    1. It feels like TLC has purposely shown all the strange and baffling things they could this season. Makes me wonder if the film crew didn't want to do their jobs, and the editors and producers had had it too, so they gave us all this footage, on purpose. It would explain a lot. How would you feel if you were given the assignment to go make another program, after everything that happened and everything that was in the news? Would you be excited and ready to do a bang-up job? Or would you be polishing your resume and looking for another position?
