Dillards and Seewalds in 'Us Weekly'

The Dillards and Seewalds are in this week's edition of Us Weekly. The story is called "Two Kids and Counting" and shares all the details of Jill and Jessa's lives as first-time-moms.

According to Jessa Seewald, "having little siblings was like having live baby dolls."

Spurgeon Seewald, who turns six months old in May, has started rolling over and can scoot across the floor. His cousin, almost-13-month-old Israel Dillard, has seven teeth and is a pro at walking.

You will see footage of Spurgeon and Israel's first meeting during Tuesday's season finale episode, but Jill Dillard tells Us Weekly that Israel gave Spurgeon a bunch of kisses!

Both Jill and Jessa agree that mom Michelle Duggar is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to raising kids. "There's no pressure to do things just exactly how she did them, but when I feel overwhelmed, she's always there telling me, 'You're doing a great job!'" shares Jessa. "That gives me the courage to trust my instincts."

For more information, including quotes from Ben Seewald and Derick Dillard, grab a copy of Us Weekly at your local newsstand.

  1. OK, no more leaving Spurgeon on the sofa or in the middle of the bed. He's rolling!

  3. It may just be me, but "2 kids and counting" makes me feel like they believe having kids is a competition ! I really hope some of them will have more of the traditional size family with regular jobs.

    1. If you don't want to buy the magazine, then don't buy it.

    2. That's what I asked a 100 times and never get an answer. The Duggars give interviews to magazins they'd even touch. For them it is a sin to read those tabloids. But we are supposed buy, read and sin. Pecunia non olet (Money does not stink).

    3. Not buying that foul tabloid.

    4. He obviously likes it if he is wearing it.

    5. Agree US weekly is not a magazine a christian family should have in their household. I sometimes feel like they would do anything for money.

    6. I can understand your perplexity about the magazine, but why on earth would you have a problem with what a grown 27 year old man does with his facial hair?

    7. If you don't like the magazine, then don't buy it. Problem solved.

    8. No, that's not a problem solved, because Us still thinks the Duggars are news-worthy.

    9. i would not buy that magazine? but if the duggars do not want their kids reading those magazines why do they appear on them and make money from them? and why would the people that run this blog put it on here also encourage us to read it or even buy it.

    10. If you folks are so upset about not wanting the Duggars in Us Magazine because that magazine has objectionable content, then why do you watch them on TLC, which also has objectionable content (occult, etc.). Be consistent in your argument, at least.

  5. I really dislike having to say this but it's the reality, Jessa and Jill are getting the limelight and the rest fall by the wayside. What about the young men, don't they have something to say? Until the Duggars and TLC realize some of us are very tired of baby and dating talk the show isn't going to retain its vast audience. Surely the other young adults would like their time in the sun and we would welcome hearing about their life and hopes and dreams.

    1. I agree! The title shouldn't be Just jill and Jessa!

    3. I think they're hoping that after some time, people will forget about the Josh drama and the show will focus more on the other kids.

    4. So very true, unless us fans contact TLC and express how we feel, I'm afraid we will get more of the same or no show at all. When will they get it, we fans are the ones who watch the show and make them money, so why not ask us what we want to see...I bet the majority of us will all say the same thing. We care about all the kids not mainly Jill and Jessa.Im also suprised that the crew spent so little time filming in central America, they surley have the funds to stay a while and film.

    5. Here's a quiz: Which would the audience rather see - the boys talking about who they want to marry their sisters, or the sisters snickering about who might court them?

If you answered the girls, then you are TLC. If you answered neither, then you are a viewer.

  6. Love the Duggars, love the program, love how they support one another even through the very hard times. Thats what love and families do. I'd love to see more Duggars!

  7. They have gone from People Magazine to US Weekly. Wow. The Bible says we will know true Christians by their fruit. Their "fruit" appears to be who offers the best paycheck. Really beginning to not only question their motives...but their true faith walk.

    1. That's not for you to question. Leave that to GOD.

    2. Actually it is for us to question. They promote themselves--very publicly-- as Christians. As a Christian who is raising her children to know and love the Lord it is my obligation to know and understand the true character of those I "allow" access into my home even through TV. The Word of God says we will know true Christians by their fruit. Again, it is my definately my obligation to question what I ...and many others...are seeing lately.

    3. Actually I agree with Anonymous 5:16 pm. This Season of Jill/Jessa has brought a lot of mixed messages from the original lifestyle choices the Duggars have preached for the last 10 years. I understand grown children certainly don't usually do everything like their parents, but this should be explained to their fans. The appearance from this season is they have sold out so to speak to the highest bidder. As Christians we do have the right to question this. It's just my opinion, but I don't think they are doing anything wrong. In fact I hope they are navigating a true relationship with the Lord versus man-made rules...but I think if they would be open and honest.. it sure would explain the mixed messages we are seeing.

  8. They're counting on where their parents left off, hence the title Jill & Jessa, Counting On. I'm sure no one wants Josh included in the ongoing family count but he & Anna are also growing the Duggar family's count.

  9. Jessa feels "overwhelmed" with one little kid?

    1. I felt overwhelmed as a new mom. That is a normal and probably common emotion for most new mothers.

      Delete
    2. Being totally responsible for a newborn/baby can definitely be overwhelming at times!!! With our first baby we were chronically sleep deprived for the first six months or so. With having to feed a baby every few hours, it's hard to keep up with laundry, chores, cooking, even showering sometimes. I'm sure many first-time moms or moms of babies would agree.

    3. I wish they'd make up their minds. One minute they're saying all Spurgeon does is eat and sleep (and go through anywhere between 3 and 20 diapers) without much on his daily agenda, and the next minute, Jessa's feeling overwhelmed?
