I think what he meant was by law in their state you can not adopt a baby when their child is an infant and with them not using birth control Ben and jessa will never complete the adoption process as they will fall pregnant and will have to stall process..
Agreed. I don't care what she says for the cameras she just looks sad. She has sadness in her eyes. For all those who think it's great she still lives at home---it's just not natural. Grown woman should not be still under their Father's thumb. By all means I hope she stays single for as long as she chooses, but to be taught it's wrong to pursue your own home and career because you need a man to be your "cover" is archaic. As a Christian isn't Christ her covering anyway? I'm not trying to be indelicate--I'm truly asking?
I have finally been able to watch this episode after many attempts and the video stopping after the first few minutes. Anyways, I have to say that I am pretty disappointed. There was something about 19 kids and counting that always seemed upbeat and positive... And I think that it was always Jim Bob and Michelle. The older children are just not very interesting to base a whole show around much less an entire series. I may not watch any more shows unless Jim Bob and Michelle come back on the show. :( it's so hard to watch the awkwardness and reserved tones in the children for more than just a few short segments like before.
We are a Bible believing Christian family that is wanting to start looking into adopting. Is there a way you can message me about which agencies that Jessa and Ben have looked into and any pros and cons that they have found which each agencies. Actually, any information would help. We are new to this. I have two grown children and one still living at home that is 15 yrs old and this has been on our heart for awhile. God Bless!!!!
I am an adoptive mom. Your best bet is to access your state's Dept. of Children and Family Services, as they can guide you to reputable adoption agencies that have been placing children for a long time.

ReplyDeleteI thought that when you adopt your own child needs to be the oldest. I hope that Jessa and Ben consider that.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard that that's the case. Probably varies agency to agency.
