Your request has been granted! The Duggars are returning for a full season of reality TV! While the title of the series will be Jill & Jessa: Counting On, it will focus on the lives of all the adult Duggar children, minus Josh.
According to TLC, the season will show Jessa and Ben Seewald adjusting to parenthood with Spurgeon; Jill, Derick, and Israel Dillard continuing their mission work in Central America; Jana, Jinger, Joy-Anna, John-David, Joseph, and Josiah Duggar navigating adulthood; and Anna Duggar joining the Duggar sisters for a much needed vacation.
The new season of Jill & Jessa: Counting On premieres Tuesday, March 15, at 9pm ET/8pm CT. Take a look at the promo video:

If people are upset with the Parents because they didn't turn their back on Josh, then why aren't they upset with Anna for staying with him? I love all of them. This was pretty much inevitable. TLC just lost way too much money this past year after cancelling the Duggars. And I heard the Duggars lost around $25 million from the TV show, endorsements, speeches, etc. It's hard to suddenly not have that income when you've grown accustomed to a certain lifestyle. I'm looking forward to the show and am glad to be able to get caught up again with this family. I just hope that all the negative people leave them alone and not keep digging up the past or protesting to the advertisers.

I have so much respect and love for these two Godly parents and miss their wise words and watching how they walk through every part of life (good and bad)with God's help all the while praising Him. Just wish that ALL of the Duggars would go to another network. I even think Josh should have a part of the show. Seems networks will allow every sinful sick thing on television yet if a Christian slips up even once then they are to be banished never to been seen or heard from again. ReplyDeleteI like the Duggar children more than their parents. It is nice to see them on their own show and I am curious to see if they build their own path or let their upbringing lead them. I have no problem with some of the things their parents have taught them but at the same time they need to establish their own lives by what they believe not what they are told. I think many view their lifestyle and ideals as damaging and offensive, especially in light of how the girls were abused. I also don't believe not having a reality television show constitutes "punishment."

DeleteYes...If the show is to be, Josh could be an example of a sinner saved by grace. Christ does forgive. It could be a wonderful Christian message of the sovereignty and greatness of GOD.
A true loving Christian family does not forsake their own, especially for financial gain. I see no Christianity in that message.
A family is as one, not minus one. United you stand, divided you fall.
In my humble opinion, the Duggars have not displayed themselves as a wholesome loving Christian American family, and as such their continued presence on television is
detrimental to their family unit and very impressionable viewers.
A family's life is so private and personal and I find is totally unacceptable to be used as a means of providing entertainment in a money hungry secular world.
Great news! Wish Michelle would make an appearance! Without her (and Jim Bob) there would be no Duggers! Love this family!!

ReplyDeleteJust wondering though, I noted that several people said that they believe the Duggars may only be returning for the money, but if it's a show about the adult Duggars wouldn't it be their money? That would be a wonderful income for them to pursue their dreams!;)

ReplyDeletePraise God! And yes, how dare the gall of people and TLC who are "offended" by the Duggars but air shows like "Sex Sent Me to the ER"! This is proof there is power in numbers and TLC heard that the Duggars do have the support of their fans, fans who watch TV and spend money with its advertisers. So if you are reading this, please always let them hear from YOU if they need us again. Strength in numbers! Amen
