  8. I am so angry at the gossip sites and magazines selling stories and twisting everything to make a profit!!!i cannot believe people would actually believe the Duggars are abusive! What a joke! Now they say Israel is being abused!I hear Jill is getting attacked for so called blanket training!I hear a electric outlet without covers! Its everything they do they are being attacked! Its so sad they would do that to such a god loving family who has done so much good.So much mission work, they made the Bates home huge and beautiful, they've helped so many people. This breaks my heart! And that cop should have to answer for what she did to those poor girls!!!!

    1. So very true, I am tearing up as I read your post. It's an abominable, grotesque injustice to what those haters/trolls are doing...enough is enough and I'm just sick and tired of all the gossip mongers twisting and manipulating falsehoods...and for what...I will never know.I'm sure the Duggars are just reeling. This family very much needs our prayers and support.

    2. I am too! I was foolish enough to defend the Dillard's on a Facebook post yesterday. Wow! Was I attacked! My foolishness was that you can't reason with people who allow pure hatred rule their lives. I will still defend the Duggar family but I think I'll stay off Facebook for a while. God help us in an unforgiving world.

    3. Actually Michelle has admitted to using blanket training. She never specified how she went about it though. It would surprise me if she where to choose a violent technique especially sense she has talked about using a low voice trying to defuse things rather then stir things up and about trying not to insight violence. You are right though about everything she does being scrutinized. Like how she carries her baby? And later we find out that it is how women in central America carry their babies. And I like it it keeps the baby with the mom they would be more comfortable then in one of those backpack looking things that could mess the with the baby's spine. They are comfortable in the sling and its just like the are being swaddled. And his black eye his started crawling/walking he could have pulled himself up on a cuberd door and fallen and hit his eye on it its edge.

    4. On the FAQs page of this blog, she has something about how she goes about blanket training, I believe.

      Delete
    5. No they don't. I just looked after your suggestion. Unless I missed it they only specified how to get their kids to do chores which they said was through encouragement. Which backs up my previous statement that it would surprise me if they where violent especially sense they presented their parenting style as trying to solve problems not to keep stirring them.

    6. I renember Michelle explaining that she used the blanket as a "playpen in her purse". She started by putting the kids on it when they were small and couldn't crawl. She would put their favorite toys on the blanket with them (rotating them to keep them interesting). Then when they started crawling, if they moved like they were going to go off the blanket, she would redirect them by showing them a toy. She let them know they weren't to go off of the blanke. She did it kindly, but firmly.

She slowly made the blanket smaller, until she could just give them some toys to play with and only kept a small piece of the blanket in her purse to show them if they started to move.

There was nothing mean about it. I don't remember the amount of time, but she said she knew she could take her baby with her for that amount of time and know that the child would be happy and well behaved whole playing.

I believe she said an older lady suggested it, and taught her how to do it. (If it wasn't on a TV episode, I could have read it in their book).

I know the people who start rumors and say such rude things won't be the ones to read this, but maybe it will clear it up for others as to what blanket training is, and how it is done (in the way I best remember Michelle explaining it).

  9. Jill, jessa,Jinger, and joy anna are strong intelligent girls.i go off of how they feel. They have a great love and respect for their parents. If they feel they did the best they could when I this happened then I believe them!!Ultimately josh was removed from the home and turned over to the authorities. The media needs to stop twisting things for money it's sick and twisted!!!

  11. Whenever we watch the Duggars we can never pick who is prettiest.we go Jinger is no Jana no Jill no Jessa no joy anna no lol we can never pick one because they are all so pretty in their own way

    1. How sad in 2016 a young girl/woman is still compared between who is prettiest! Besides--I thought it was all about inner beauty?

      Delete
    2. I don't think the previous comment meant that the girls only attribute was beauty. Of course these girls are bright, talented, compassionate women. It's just that when you see pictures of them you can't help but be struck by their beauty.

  12. This is one of my favorite posts! So creative. I enjoyed seeing how the family has changed over the years. The photo of Jana wearing Jennifer in the ergo was too precious!

  14. I can't stop feeling a deep compassion for Jana and John-David. Why don't their parents them a life for their own? What kind of pressure have they do endure?

    1. John David is police officer. Jill runs a youth group is a doula and does interior design on Jim Bob's properties. Don't believe everything you read.

      Delete
    2. John David is not acctually a police officer, but he is a constable. He was elected but he does it as a volunteer. John David is one of my favorites. He just lives his life-- does not seem to crave the extreme need for fame as the other members do. He appears to be a solid, hard working kind man. I hope he finds a beautiful wife to appreciate him someday.

      Delete
    3. I wasn't sure if he was volunteer or not so I just put police officer. Thank you for clarifying though. Many would just correct but you went to explain it and you where very friendly. John David has also been one of my favorites to. He's very smart and funny and as you said hard working!!!

  15. They are all so much more stylish! I do believe that is a result of their TV show. Now if the girls can only start wearing normal bathing suits. They are beautiful young women and should enjoy their youth and beauty (not advocating anything disrepctful). I would love them to be able to enjoy the beach without explaining the "modest" swimwear. In the words of Anne Shirley "But I'd rather look ridiculous when everybody else does than plain and sensible all by myself."

  16. The Duggar girls were all so pretty before they started wearing all the dark and heavy eye makeup.

  17. Jim Bob has definitely changed the most

  18. you can see a big difference they have a big attitude change over the years and and big style change over the years? but was is each of the Children personal relationship with Christ? still wondering about that they never talk about. only thing they do as a family nothing they do on their own?

    1. That would be awkward and not very prudent. Because since children arent born saved they need to go through a process of realizing their need of a Savior and then accepting him as Lord and Savior. It is likely that process is happening diring childhood. And it would be weird to say this child is saved and this one isnt. You know? i just dont think that would be prudent. They want to protect the kids you know? But they most certainly do focus on individual salvation. You should listen to gingers testimony.

  19. Uh its hard to say..i ssy Johanna, but the girls in general are changed more than the boys For me. I love this post can you please show us the rest of the kids in the same way? And the bates also? Thank you very much

    1. Maybe that's his son.

    2. Yes!! When I first saw the picture, I thought to myself, "these are pictures of the Duggars, not the Bates, right?" Gil Bates looks a lot younger, but there is a DEFINITE resemblance.

  22. I'm so happy to see some of the kids pics. I remember the happy days. There's still many happy days to come and they're all grown or growing up beautifully.
These pics were such a blessing to me today. I knew I came to the right place for a spiritual lift. Thanks again for sharing.

  33. I am sure this won't be posted, and understandably so. Someone told me they read that Anna is pregnant again. I went and did a quick search, and saw that this is only reported on the "tabloid" type sites, which I am not interested in reading. Therefore, I came here. Is this true? If so, is Josh out of rehab? If it is true, I wish the very very best to Anna. I hope you can post soon.

  34. Since TCL has taken the Dugger show off I hardly ever watch their channel.I loved the show and the family and I think it is terrible to condemn the whole family for what one did. Please bring them back.

  39. They have all grown up so much & changed for the better but if I have to pick one it would be Joy-Anna. She was such a little girl & just seemed to grow up over night. They have all grown up but instead of doing it a little at a time it was like one episode she was still a little girl & the next she was this serious responsible tall grown up young lady. And she has become more beautiful both inside & out. All of your children are truly gifts from God. I pray that He will continue to bless you in all you do! We still watch Jessa & Jill counting on & I'm hoping reruns will come on soon of 19 kids & Counting. It was one of the few & I mean very few shows we could watch as a family without any language or hinting toward something ugly. We truly miss seeing y'all everyday! And we pray for healing & peace.
    With love & prayers,
    Nikki

  42. Gloria, it's not fair to immediately judge some comments as "hatred." Maybe there's truth behind those comments that should be considered. Where then is the hatred? In the eye of the one deeming it so?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Point taken. Honestly, I should have not even read the comments, because I usually don't, but some things are so vehemently written that you can feel the hatred to the point where the hair stands up on the back of your neck. My stomach hasn't been right since. I've uninstalled Facebook. I'm sorry if I've upset anyone and I'll try very hard to not be negative or judgmental toward anyone's opinions or posts. Asking forgiveness from my Lord & my fellow man is the best I can do. I'm still a work in progress.

    2. Gloria, you were absolutely right on your first comment...you assumed nothing wrong. Some people on Instagram,Facebook,Twitter, Google+,and the like do however attack us fans and accuse us as abusive supporters. We can't remark about one positive thing that any of the family posts...even if we say that a picture is cute we get slammed. So therefore, you were correct to recognized hate, never apologize for your lack of ignorance.I do know one thing, when I want to feel a connection to other fans, I come here... I know that coming to this site I wont leave it with anxiety or high blood pressure from being bullied by unhappy haters/trolls.Thank you again Lily and Ellie for a safe family friendy place to visit☺

  45. If the Duggars retreated from TV and social media, the press about them would eventually die down. They know what to do if they ever want to return to anonymity. It's up to them.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I think that they all are more than relieved that their live is not on TV any longer...thus aligning themselves with their true belief of not allowing television in their home. It now gives them the quality care and love they can share as s family without broadcasting their everyday life. I know that they are happy without media or television so they can concentrate on doing good. KIAB

  47. Thank goodness most of the hateful comments are elsewhere... Especially since Lily and Ellie do an exemplary job at weeding out the crass and uncouth...however, they also do a great job posting other points of view. This is a fan site though, so I really dont know why a non-fan or hater would even want to visit a site of whom they dislike.I certainly dont go the Kardatian fan sites and ridicule their fans or state my dislike...what for...just to spread anger so the poster feels better about themselves...sad. When I read a positive comment it feels good.I dont get my jollies hurting others by stating negative comments about their likes.NO ONE cares about your freedom of speach when it's meanspirited anyways.

  49. @Anonymous
I have actually read your comment a couple of times to make sure i read it correctly. The Duggar family has done everything possible to get their show back on TV so I am not understanding where you think otherwise. I am not being critical of the Duggars--they have the right to pursue whatever they want, but they certainly love broadcasting their everyday lives.

    ReplyDelete
  50. NOTHING has changed for this AMAZING family. They may have their share of ups and downs, but they'll always be a family. That's for sure. #LoveTheDuggarFamily

  51. Maybe I'm biased because I've wanted to scoop up Joy Anna a keep her for my own since I first started watching (17K&C), but she has gone from a cute little tomboy to a breathtaking natural beauty. All of the Duggar girls are beautiful, but I think Joy has the best look. I do think Johanna could grow up to be quite a stunner. She already has a very strong presence, and she's got those smiling eyes. Jenny is like Jana... a quiet, gentle beauty.

  53. Love this beautiful family! I really miss the show and hope they might eventually be able to return to T.V. at some point. There are always people who will criticize and be hurtful, but I hope the Duggars realize how much their true fans miss them, genuinely care about them, and wish the very best for all of them! We are grateful for this blog to be able to keep updated on their lives!
