Jessa (Duggar) Seewald and Ben Seewald welcomed their first child into the world on Thursday, and it's a boy! Their son weighed 9 lbs. 11 oz. and was 21 1/4 inches long. Both Jessa and Baby Seewald are doing well.

Women who have just delivered don't stop bleeding right away....and I needed the "super deluxe" external protection for that for a few weeks...that just isn't right...what happened that Jessa needed medical intervention, the medical intervention that she should have had present in the first place?...like in a hospital setting.

ReplyDeleteBleeding after birth is always a possibility whether a hospital or home birth. It's why the placenta has to be completely delivered. It's good that the midwife was being so careful and had Michelle call 911 since the bleeding didn't appear to abate as soon as expected. Hard to say exactly since NONE OF US WAS THERE! Are 911 tapes routinely released to the public?
