Just three weeks after traveling to Tennessee to watch Michaela Bates tie the knot with Brandon Keilen, the Duggars are gearing up for another wedding. This weekend, cousin Amy Duggar will marry Dillon King.
Jill and Derick Dillard, along with five-month-old Israel Dillard, have been serving Central America as missionaries since the beginning of July. They returned to the States three weeks ago to film for TLC's Breaking the Silence and were also able to attend Michaela's wedding. Now, they are back in Arkansas for Amy's wedding and a quick visit with family.

ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL.

ReplyDeleteSo wish I could get an encouraging letter to you. I get so upset with people stomping on your wonderful family. I have found so many Biblical passages pertinent to your trial. Since I can't, Know that I am praying for God to give you the faith to arise above this. Josh will be restored to Be a strong Christian husband and father and testimony to God's love and grace.
ReplyDeleteWarms my heart to have Duggar updates. God bless.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Amy and Dillon! God Bless Your Beautiful Wedding Day💝 Love My Duggar Family💝💝💝
ReplyDeleteMany blessings for Cousin Amy! Congrats and yay!
ReplyDeleteJust continue to pray for God's WISDOM and his MERCY and GRACE that you will be able to be all that he has made and created you to be. Ask that God forgive you for anything you may have done unknowingly that displeased him and that you will be able to learn and grow and be. Seek God's guidance as to whether he wants you to live your life IN THE PUBLIC VIEW or rather he would prefer you just take time to remove yourself from all the lights and cameras and simply seek his face via fasting and prayer. Only God knows his absolute plans for your life but you must make sure that you are seeking HIM. No fame or fortune, but HIM. Once you seek HIM, "The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it." Be blessed.
ReplyDeleteMiss u guys glad u keep us updated hope all is well
ReplyDeleteNice pictures of Israel and anutie Jana.
ReplyDeleteIsrael is a little cutie. I love Jana's hair. Is it just in a ponytail or is it done a different way? If it is done a different way a tutorial on it would be great.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet baby Israel is. He is just so cute. Nice pictures of him and Aunt Jana. Thanks for sharing your family precious photos with us. Hope y'al enjoy the wedding. Best wishes for Amy and Dillion. Prayers to all the Duggars.

ReplyDeleteIsrael is getting to be such a big boy. He is also getting more handsome everyday.
ReplyDeleteIsrael is a doll and obviously loves and enjoys time with his beautiful Aunt,Jana.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless All
Marilyn
I question how dedicated they are to their mission work when they are frequently returning to the United States.
ReplyDeleteWhy can't they have time with their family? It doesn't mean they aren't dedicated to their mission work. What are you doing today to help others?
DeleteThis is only the second time
DeleteWow! I would say you can be 100% dedicated to mission work and still help family/friends celebrate their big day.
DeleteBeing a missionary is about spreading God's word. Doesn't mean they can't come and go as they please. If that's the case then when youth missionaries go out once a year for 2 weeks you must think they are dedicated at all. God knows their hearts and that they are working for Him and He is all that matters!

DeleteI was just thinking the same thing. I would have thought that they would have spent a longer period of time away with perhaps only one visit home in that time. At least that's what a neighbour of mine did. Makes sense now that they were able to take a young baby when it's so seemingly easy to go home. Although it's really none of my business, it must also be costing quite a bit to fly home as regularly as they've been doing. Really worth going in the first place?
DeleteWell, then it's a good thing they answer to God rather than people who "question" their every move.
DeleteThey aren't prisoners. Missionaries, pastors, preachers and church secretaries all get vacations too. Ain't it amazing...
I think a lot of us are wondering about their non-profit business & "missionary work." This will be their 2nd trip back home since beginning their little venture just a month or 2 ago. I know they were asking for donations. Most people who actually work 40 or more hours a week can't afford a weeks vacation @ the beach. Yet these 2 are asking people to donate their hard-earned money so they fly back & forth to weddings. When I wanted something I couldn't afford, I'd workba second job or go without. It would never enter my mind to ask anyone else to give me money. Aren't their people right here in America who could use their help? Why traipse across the globe?
DeleteFamily is important too!
DeleteThey were there for monthes before and now the busy time has come with all the wedfings and stuff and then they will return for monthes at a time again.
DeleteSeriously?? It's just too easy to judge!
DeleteReally, how much have you missioned "anonymous"? Forty years ago when my uncle's missioned in Africa and Brazil, they weren't allowed to come home with their families to see their loved ones, but I'm sure that's changed in 40 years.
DeleteHow about quit judging people you don't know, and pray for their journey?
What a blessing it is that the Dillard's won't have to answer to your "questioning", but to God's alone.
DeletePS the reason I asked was because they are asking people for money. People that give probably think the money is going for their mission work- not vacations.
DeleteGod bless this young couple. They obviously have a heart for Gods people. Praying God use them and bless in everything they do.
DeleteIsrael is such a handsome little guy!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's a lot of traveling and expense! Where are they getting all this cash?
ReplyDeleteThey have a lot of money from the show even though it's over now
DeleteThat's what I'm wondering about. How do they support themselves?
DeleteThat's what I'm wondering. Most missionaries can't travel back and forth like this.
DeleteHow would you feel if someone asked you where your money came from when you took a trip? It their business.
DeleteNot from your pocket;)
DeleteAs a missionary myself...we don't get to travel back much but mostly because of where we are located and the price of tickets...from Central America tickets are very affordable....I wouldn't judge people on what they do until you've lived in their shoes...it's unfair and you wouldn't want people judging you by what you spend your money on....it doesn't seem they are traveling just to vacation if they were doing that you would be seeing pictures of Disneyland or other such things....they are sacrifing time and energy for God and also time with family which is very hard to do (missing births, weddings, family events (good or bad) and other such things) please think before you judge their actions
Deletewell when they wee here last time it had something to do with the documentary, so I'm almost positive it was paid for by tlc. this time, either they've put money aside, planning this wedding trip for months or Jim Bob paid out. either way I have taken mission tripsbefore, not extended like their mission has been but one thing u can tell you, they could be there for years, and not return, right now they are blessed tho be able to do that!!!!
DeleteWeddings! Weddings! Weddings!
ReplyDeleteI really wish they would air Amy's wedding
DeleteIsrael is so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteReally gonna miss 19 kids and counting. I always looked forward to it when a new season came on. Will miss seeing the whole family on tv.
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteAdorable pics, thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love keeping up with your family. I wish I had the conviction to raise my family as you do yours. Thanks for being a light in such a darkening world.
ReplyDeleteIt is not our place to question their missionary work. Let's be thankful for what they are doing.
ReplyDeleteIsrael is adorable and I love seeing the pictures and hearing news of the Duggars! So happy for Amy and Dillon; I know that everyone will find joy surrounding their wedding. Praying for all of the Duggars and I sure do miss being welcomed into their lives. Much love and blessings to them!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful little boy! I sure miss the show! God bless all of u
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteI suppose the way to look at it is that they are serving others whether they are overseas or here. They have the heart of servants wherever they go.
I love all the updates from the dillard gang (Jill, Derick and little Israel) but will there be any updates on Anna and their kids? I miss hearing from them. blessings
ReplyDeleteIs that a cool paint splattered jean skirt!?
ReplyDeleteSo glad for this blog, so we can keep up wit his awesome family!
ReplyDeletecould you start your own network
ReplyDeleteplease start your own network, ''just the Duggars''
ReplyDeletesuch a handsome little guy & he has grown so much !!!! Love getting updates miss you guys!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like they have some pretty new furniture?
ReplyDeleteI love your family!! You have been and always be near and dear to my heart!!! Keep posting regardless of the stone throwers!!! I am praying for your family! Bless you bless you bless you!!!!
ReplyDeleteI miss 19 Kids and Counting. I no longer watch TLC at all. I hope they televise the Bates wedding so we can see you guys! Everybody is flipping out like Josh isn't just a human man and because he's a Christian he can't make a mistake. Its called back sliding and the story of the prodical son shows God's view when we mess up well. Why punish everybody when really this all should show that Christians are still just humans and we do mess up. We do fall short
ReplyDeleteBeautiful baby...beautiful auntie! May God bless you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI am happy for you Amy
ReplyDeleteI miss watching your family grow and grow up! Love to you all!!!
ReplyDeleteI don;t think the are using mission money People masgz. paid them for their wedding Bay pics..etc.and the \girl wrote \\\book. interviews with 2 of the girls what happen to them.. He had a job with walmart..He is a major degree in accounting..The would never spend Gods mission money
ReplyDeleteWe are all sinners saved by grace, and Josh will gets his deliverance and fall more in love with Jesus and his family!
ReplyDeleteYour friend in Christ, Jesus is Lord!
God bless you and your family. you will be truly missed on TV. God showers down his divine gift of Grace and I pray her puts you back on TV so we can see you again. God is love! God Bless you all.
ReplyDeleteGod has blessed them to be able to do the traveling. They are committed to their family AND their ministry.
ReplyDeleteGod has blessed them to be able to travel like this. They are dedicated to their God, their family and their ministry.
ReplyDeleteSo happy the Dillards are still able to share special family events with their loved ones! Precious pics of Jana and her sweet nephew. God bless your family and also Amy as she begins her marriage with Dillon.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they are being wise in their spending and most likely saved money before they even knew they were moving to Central America. I don't believe for one minute they are acting like little Reverend Ikes(He was before most of your time) using the donations for lavish living. I can't believe the veiled accusations I'm reading!
ReplyDeleteWe all go through struggles in our everyday life and through his grace, we will overcome it.
ReplyDeletetell cousin amy congrats is she still singing? i really miss nineteen kids and counting i loved that show
ReplyDeleteHow are Jill and Derick able to afford the commercial flights back for family events? When my wife and I were in ministry for four years in India, we only made two trips home to Scotland to see our families during a death in the family at that trying time?
ReplyDeleteDo you know if Jana will be leaving home soon to pursue career interests or a possible courtship? The Lord led me to my spouse at 21 and we had three children by the time we were 25. I have always prayed the same blessings of family and fellowship on Jana and John David!
ReplyDeleteAwe.. sweet. Miss you guys.
ReplyDeleteIsrael is adorable! Blessings to the Dillard family! Our youth group is praying steadfastly for them to win the hearts of Christ in S America
ReplyDeleteHandsome boy! It is good to see a family dedicated to Gods work and to family ! As to where their cash comes from I beliieve that is nobodys business , People spend far too much time in others business rather than taking care of their own. So happy for how GOD is blessing the Dillards !
ReplyDeletenot your place to judge this! After serving the Lord on the mission field for 31 years, I believe the Lord supplies for and smiles on family joy and strong ties! And right now this family needs to hang tight and encourage one another! Be blessed ALL Duggars! You are prayed for!!!
ReplyDeleteThe One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills and loves to cherish His children with good gifts!
ReplyDeleteAnd there are always two negatives in the bunch! Why do you need to worry about their dedication based on their travel frequency or the cost. If you can't say anything nice don't saying anything at all. Ty!!
ReplyDeletePEOPLE HAVE NO RIGHT TO JUDGE ONLY GOD HAS THAT JOB ,HE KNOWS ALL ,WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES,AND ASK FOR FORGIVENESS,SO WHY NOT HIM .
ReplyDeleteJana looks really different in the pictures.
ReplyDeleteSo glad of all the happenings that are wonderful. Wishing only the very BEST for the whole family. Israel is darling. Duggar fans miss you all terribly. Prayers continue for the family. Best of everything. Lois, in Kansas!
ReplyDeleteHey, I have a question. Is there ANY way to get the recorded seasons of the show before it was taken off of TLC? If so, where can I get it. I would love to have ALL of the season. Lois
ReplyDeleteSo glad they are able to come back to be with family and friends. Congratulations to Cousin Amy and Dillon! Thank you Jill and Derrick for serving our Lord! Good to see Jana and little Israel bonding. It must be hard to be so far away. Prayers for safe travels and that many souls are saved. May God bring peace to your entire family. Love you all. :) :) :) ♡♡♡♡♡♡
ReplyDelete@Anonymous I miss them too!
ReplyDeleteAww sweet pictures! Wish we could watch Amy's wedding :(
ReplyDeleteI love your family! Israel is so cute.
ReplyDeleteIsrael is a perfect and precious mix of both mommy and daddy :) love it. And Jana is just as beautiful as ever. Missing the show tons. Thank you for keeping us updated on all of your lives thru your blog and website. GOD bless you all <3
ReplyDeleteOn another note, they also need to remember that Israel of only 5 months old (and recently) and his body cannot support him in how they seem to be handling the infant. ...and he IS an infant. Having him sit up unsupported as some photos have shown, having him "stand" on his legs, is not recommended as his bones are still "soft" and they need to understand spinal support is also not completely there yet. I am surprised at this family, who has boasted about they have so many children and are experienced in this.
ReplyDeleteMy grandson is the same age as him and he sits up just fine! He is very strong! We are all different!
DeleteI think 5 months is plenty old to stand on their legs. most if mine were crawling, and pulling up at 5 months old, way beyond sitting up. one of mine actually walked by 7 months. I think he's fine!!!!
DeleteHey tlc how about a Dillard special!
ReplyDelete... and life goes on!
ReplyDeleteEmbrace it!
Brigitte Estelle
In 26 years of being a stay home mom, I took off 10 days alone for the first time visiting my schoolmate and was also ridiculously questioned how inconsiderate I was to my responsibilities as a mom! I was totally irresponsible to" ME", I forgot me, forgot to live and see that I also needed to acknowledge my needs ... ... me!
ReplyDeleteIt is so important to recharge, you are relaxed, meditated and you give back happier and better, why ?, because you took a needed break for you!
Bravo to Derrick and Jill for not being slaves to your work, and showing your son that he does have family to spend time with!
Brigitte
I love your family and really miss your show.God bless you all .
ReplyDelete@Anonymous After so many years of the show and appearances on gma and magazine covers the Duggars are very wealthy. I'm sure Jill still has access to some of that fortune.
ReplyDeleteI loved this family. Great family values. Wish they would put them back on tv. I really miss them.
ReplyDeleteWe all make mistakes. Don't punish the entire family. Because of one person. Come on people.
I'm sure TLC paid for the first flight for the show Breaking Silence.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the adorable pictures of Jana and Israel. My heart goes out to the family.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if some smart tv station has realized that a reality show featuring Amy and her new husband, her parents and grandmother, and some appearances of her cousins (particularly the victims in the scandal) would be a hit. I hope they will consider that.
He is a handsome little guy god bless him. I will miss 19 kids and counting and their Families. I will miss the Whole family very much are prayers are with you all.
ReplyDeleteI love you and miss seeing all of your faces!
ReplyDeleteAdorable, absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteI KNOW you are really working for the LORD. because Satan is really trying to push your buttons . Will keep praying for uplifting joy and incouragement from all who know and love you. May GOD bring you peace and contentment in your life journey.
ReplyDeleteI wonder the same as #3. My perspective of a missionary, along with many other things, is that you give up a lot of yourself to serve God. I'm not saying giving up things or family entirely, no. But when you make a commitment to the Lord you put Him first in everything. This may mean having to miss filming of shows or some family events, whatever the case may be. That's just the way it is when you become a missionary, at least in my eyes. It's a HUGE commitment and dedication. You need to be willing to put yourself/family 100% in your ministry. Isn't this what they prayed and yearned for? The Dillard's seem to go back and forth a lot to the U.S. and Central America. These are costly trips. Is that why they ask for funding? To pay for these trips? I thought it was to help supplement their living and ministry in their mission home? I just want to know facts and information before I send more donations. Thanks
ReplyDeletesame here!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMiss watching this beautiful family "do life" together.
ReplyDeleteCONGRADS AMY!!!!! Love this whole family and really, really miss you on TV but you made the right decision for your family. Praying for your whole family daily.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen missionaries come home so much. The ones my church sponsors stay abroad for years, if not a lifetime. It's a focused commitment, not a vacation, and you don't have random family members join you mid-mission for pizza and pictures. Very confusing as to why any church would allow that as part of a mission plan.
ReplyDeletemiss your show..
ReplyDeleteSo nice to hear the wonderful news. Miss you all and god bless you. the baby is adorable and getting so big
ReplyDeleteI think it's likely that Jill's family is the major sponsor of their missionary work in Central America and are probably paying for their flights back and forth. Mr and Mrs Duggar were paid handsomely for each episode of their TV show, and Jim Bob owns a lot of commercial real estate. They may have even racked up frequent flier miles from their various trips over the years. I think that Jill and her family are a very welcome presence in the lives of the Duggar's anytime but now especially with such heartache and sorrow that have come recently. All of you who are questioning them on this ... please just pray for them and let it go.
ReplyDeleteMormons, Catholics, Lutherans -- all have missions that last years, with limited, if any, travel home. Mormon communication with family is also limited, for a purpose, so the missionaries can concentrate on their work. Some Mormons get 2 phone calls home per year, Mother's Day and Christmas. Travel outside their assigned zone or district requires review and written approval. So it should be understandable to wonder why other missionaries come home frequently for weddings or to tape TV shows. It's a legitimate question, and if this is an accepted style of mission life for this particular faith, then that should be made known to everyone up front, those who contribute money and those who are asked to pray for the missionaries.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy they are getting to see family. It's important to keep those connections, no matter what the nay-sayers are throwing out there.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteThey are dedicated missionaries... But they are more dedicated to their family as it should be!
I am having a hard time understanding the "long-term" mission the Dillard's were asking people to give money for. My goodness they are home every few weeks. My husband is Military and we have been separated for as long as 18 months at a time on more than one occasion. Due to various bases we were stationed at our family has missed many weddings, holidays, graduations etc. it appears their long-term mission trip is nothing more than a vacation.
ReplyDeleteDid everyone forget that Derrick spent 2 years in Nepal on a mission commitment. He has some experience. Mission boards approve who they're going to support. Jill is also contributing as a midwife. Let's support their service and let them Manage their expenses! I'm glad to hear they came home for Cousin Amy & Dillon King's wedding.
ReplyDeleteWow ...lots of "anonymous" people have lots to say...mind your own business and remember what your mom should have taught you...if you can't say anything nice..don't say anything at all..that's all I wanted to say..thanks
ReplyDeleteI am one of the "anonymous". I believe when the Dillard's asked people for money for their "long-term" mission trip it then becomes public business. People have the right to know where their hard earned money is being spent. To continually fly the Dillard's back and forth every couple of weeks for family socials is not what most of us have in mind when supporting missionaries. I hope there will be accountability for all who have supported them.
DeleteAmy seems like a great girl and someone I could relate to a lot more than the Duggars, but I don't think people would watch a show about her.
ReplyDeleteThey are their own mission board. Derrick got a degree in accounting. Jill isn't fully trained yet. Neither have the language for where they are. Why not learn the language or get some theology in before leaving for a mission with so many Stateside commitments. They made it our business when they asked fans to fund it. Most the country belongs to faiths with mission programs that work very different than this and it's confusing so questions are asked. "None of our business" is a bit rude and to be frank, incorrect. If they just went to work mission without asking for financial support there would be less questions cause it's self funded. Just hate to see another scandal.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Jill is having a hard time acclimating to life away from her family and living in much more difficult surroundings so getting back home frequently is her way of surviving the adjustment.
ReplyDeleteSo glad the Dilkards came home for the wedding. So great for Jill's family and Derick's to keep the family connection strong. Hope Amy had a wonderful wedding.
ReplyDeleteSo sad that someone always has to find the negative in every post.Being a positive person is so much healthier and it makess you a much happier person all around.Try it and see.Positive people have more friends too...u never can have to many friends, who want to be around negative nellies anyways? Not me.
ReplyDelete❤ hugs & prayers to ALL the Duggar family. I'm seeing a baby boy arriving aoon.
ReplyDeleteI hope Jana will find the right one soon. She would be such a great mother. Happy to see her spending time with her nephew. She is very beautiful as well:)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad they get to be home for the wedding. I am not even trying to guess how she got the money. I'm just glad her parents or Amy's parents or whoever made sure she was there. it doesn't mean they've abandoned their mission, it means that her cousin any us important too her, and somebody made it possible too return home! happy for her!!!!! (& I will venture a guess that tlc posted for that last flight)
ReplyDeleteWhat's he doing that you think makes him clever? He's a 5-6 month old infant.
ReplyDeletePictures of amy yet??
ReplyDeleteI sure do miss seeing them all on TV. Blessings to you all.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteThe distance between Central America and Arkansas is not that big, probably only about a 2h flight, and therefore not that expensive.
I think the Dillard's should do what they please with regards with their mission trip but by asking for money, they do need to realize that they are accountable for the spending of money received. A regular disclosure of where they are spending the money received would quiet all who are questionning their finances or perceived mismanagement of those charitable donations received.
ReplyDeleteJesse is due on November 1
ReplyDeleteIsrael is so cute. He loves his Aunt Jana.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, the Dillards are required to file with the IRS to show where the money is spent. The 990 will be a matter of public record that anyone can easily see on charitywatch or charitynavigator. So let's quit worrying about it for now.
ReplyDelete
