Jill and Derick Dillard are serving in Central America with an S.O.S. Ministries team led by Pastor Mike Schadt, who performed Jessa and Ben Seewald's marriage ceremony. Their ministry is thriving. Can you believe that baby Israel Dillard is already four months old?

Thank you for taking the gospel to them and for fulfilling the command of Christ to "go and tell the world". Our daughter adopted 3 little boys from 3 different countries. The oldest is from Guatemala and we heard yesterday that you were there at the same church that our friends attend. Our daughter and her boys will be there in 2016 at Easter time. I can read your blog or in the past I watched you on tlc and my day would just go more smoothly! I know this may sound weird but it's true! I find myself making better decisions in my daily life. I have bad siezures and my doctors say more meds and people want me to try marijuana. But I think it's prayer and looking to our lord is the best medicine! Don't get me wrong I still take meds I just don't have to take as many as I did. Thanks to our lord! And I just want to thank you for reminding me how wonderful our god is!

ReplyDeleteLoving this. My husband is from El Salvador and I often wonder why we as a country don't help more in some of the poorest countries closest to the U.S. So thank you Derek and Jill. I also want to say look at the sand. Some of the beaches in Central America are so cool -- there is volcanic ash in the sand and the sand looks gray/black. I always love it when we visit.

ReplyDeleteWOW! Seeing the Dillards serving in El Salvador reminds me of the times when mission teams used to come down to Ecuador to help build a school.
ReplyDeleteIt gives me the chills everytime I think about how close the Dillards are to Ecuador compared to the rest of the family. (This is said in a very respectful way)
Maybe someday; God-wiling, some of the Duggars can come and serve in Ecuador.
How can they bring their innocent child to a deadly country? Do they know that the US embassy in el Salvador issued a warning against citii for the violence that is occurring there? I thought this disclosed location was for privacy? Guess they are asking for a death wish and I feel bad for that child. Irresponsible people how can they do that to their child?

Has it been announced yet on the length of stay the Dillards are going to be gone with their mission?
