Did your see our post announcing the birth of Meredith Grace Duggar? She's here, and she's beautiful.

One month before Mackynzie was born, Meredith Vieira from NBC's TODAY Show jokingly requested that Josh and Anna name their first child after her. "Obviously I would love that," said Vieira. "It would make me a very happy person,"

At that point, Josh and Anna had already settled on Mackynzie, but Josh told Vieira that they may consider her name for future daughters. "There is hope for 'Meredith' still," he said in an interview. Congratulations, Meredith Vieira! You got your namesake.

    I really hope to continue to hear from this wonderful family. Their struggles and their victories feel like mine sometimes. I rejoice with Josh & Anna in this special time. I also just had my baby a couple of weeks ago. I was due two days before Anna but gave birth on the 5th.

    Congratulations go out to you two. Josh and Anna, we sure do miss you 2 and your whole family. Please stay on the blog so we can keep looking at that beautiful baby and your little family. We want TLC to let your show go on. I will personally not watch 6-- lbs., Sex in the E.R., Jazz, and there are too many to list on that channel that I don't approve of but always loved 19 kids. Are they going to pick on the Bates family now?

    I like the name but i thought they wild go with somthing more modern and popular like Madison Madelyn or Mia.But i myself like very unique names. I think Meridith Faith would have been more modern. But Meredith Grace is cute. I don't mind Meridith because it's after Meredith Vieira.

    Congrats, Josh & Anna. I hope we get to see a special on the birth because I love the show and I want to see Mackynzie reaction to finally having a sister. So She can play girl stuff with at home ( When Meredith is old enough to play together) than going to grandparents house to play with her two aunts that is her age

    I think that is sooo sweet that they named the baby girl after meredith Vieira! :-) :-) :-) she had to wait five years but she finally got her wish!!!also baby meredith is sooooo cuteeeeee! !! :-)!!!!! :-) :-) :-) :-) and I love that she was born the day after jim Bob's 50th!!!!!     I'm so very sad that we will not get to see more of little Israel, baby Meredith, and the entire Duggar family on 19KAC. It's a topsy tervy backward world we live in when the Whitehouse takes the sign of God's promises and uses it to light the building in honor of GLBT, but won't light red/white/blue when our military are gunned down in recruiting stations, when the Duggars are cancelled for a private family issue that was addressed years ago and all involved were minors, but an Alaskan family can isolate its children in the bush without any possibility of them being able to meet and explore the potential of long term relationships for themselves, live free off taxpayer land, provide less than substandard medical care for the family, etc., but we don't question, don't send CPS after them (though family did, in the interest of the MOTHER, not the children), don't become a mob crowd of accusational haters, etc. It's all upside down. We will miss you, Duggar family. :(

    I also forgot to say I hope they don't get discouraged when naysayers persecute them for having the children God wants to give them. It's not easy to go against what society says. It really isn't anyone's business how many children we have. I say for the Christian family, the more the merrier! Make Satan squirm!

    Congratulations on baby Meredith! She is absolutely beautiful! I miss watching the show and I think it's unfair how everyone is passing judgement one a mistake that was made so long ago when you were just s child yourself Josh! Keep your head held high and be the daddy your kids need and the husband, brother, and son your family needs. God is the only one that can pass judgement on anyone and I think he's already forgiven you! I really hope TLC reconsiders putting the show back on the air because your entire family is an inspiration to us all and nobody is perfect so your family shouldn't be expected to be either. We love and miss you all!
