A two-hour special of 19 Kids and Counting featuring Israel David Dillard's birth airs on Tuesday at 8pm ET/7pm CT (video preview below).
Josie is thrilled to give her crib to Jill and Derick to prepare for the baby's arrival. "It's probably a little unusual for an aunt to pass down her crib to a nephew," admits Jim Bob, chuckling.

For Michelle Do you enjoy being a Grandma
ReplyDeleteI am sitting here with tears in my eyes and running down my cheeks and nose (!) after hearing Derick read his Dad's note. That was really sweet of his mother to share that with him. . .
ReplyDeleteMe too, I cried when I watched it! I think Cathy is the sweetest!
DeleteI think there will be a lot of outrage about this birth show. I find it sad and it definitely doesn't boost my confidence in midwives
ReplyDeleteThey just shopping for a crib which is excellent for safety. It isn't unusual for a small number of years to separate aunts and nieces and nephews. Really it's not.
ReplyDeleteIt was so special when Derick read that diary that his dad wrote in......it brought tears to my eyes too! I'm so excited to see the delivery of precious Israel David! I'm sure he won't be the last!
ReplyDeleteSo excited to watch this! And two hours, too! (Poor Jill - wish it could have been as simple as two hours for her. :) ).
ReplyDeleteLooks like it's going to be an awesome and well put together episode! Josie is so cute and then the scene at Derick's birthday party was so emotional. Just WOW. God bless his thoughtful mother!!!
ReplyDeleteI can´t wait to see the full episode.
ReplyDeleteSo adorable of her to do that. Good job Josie
ReplyDeleteYou two are the sweetest people. May God continue His Blessings on you. Israel is very Blessed to have you as parents.
ReplyDeleteThe cover photo hasn't been updated! You should have the couples on there and any kids, you could put as little photos inside the couple photo (until there is too many!!) to save space inside the header area!
ReplyDeleteIt's so wonderful to see the family expanding as it is. I hope Jessa & Ben are having twins!!
The gift that Derek's Mom gave to him on his birthday eas priceless, especially when it came from.his dad....what a thoughtful gift. Such a blessing. I can't wait for the 2 hour episode on Tuesday. Jill deserves to be happy. I can't wait for Jana to live out her dreams in life, where ever God guides her as well. God Is good.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone else spot Marjorie Jackson in this video on the sofa, before Israel birth and before the announcement was made by josiah !!
ReplyDeleteYes I thought I did
DeleteYes, I did! And at 3:31 you can see that she's clearly wearing pants. So cool that she is allowed to be herself and follow her own convictions around the Duggars who have different sets of standards when it comes to clothing.
DeleteYes!
DeleteThe last 3 videos are showing.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to Cathy ' s feelings about having her baby and it being very exciting because he was her blood relative since she was adopted. I too was adopted and had 3 children and I felt the same way with a lot of emotion with my babies. Good to see Cathy in good health. Jill and Derick look so happy.
ReplyDeleteWhy are they all giving him baby gifts? It's his birthday, not a shower! (But his mother's gift, the journal, was sweet, though.)
ReplyDeleteI vote that after this episode airs, that we don't talk about this baby for a month.
ReplyDeleteThis is old news. When can we get Jessa updates? Where are her chalkboard countdowns?
ReplyDeletenot going to watch this one, already know what happened
ReplyDeletePrecious. Precious family.
ReplyDeletehey Micheal and jim Bob
ReplyDeletethat josies baby bad crib can be gig bed. just want to let you know.
I really can't wait for this episode. I appreciate how soon TLC put this together so we, fans, didn't have to wait until next season! I just love Jill and Derick!
ReplyDeleteAnonymous # 3,
ReplyDeleteI agree.

Some clips, like this one, come up blank for me. I discovered that I can right click on the title above the clip and select 'open in new tab'. In the new tab, the video comes up for me to play. This does not work if you are in the comments page. You have to go back to the home page. Thought this might help others with the same problem.
ReplyDeletePeople should take advantage of the technology we have. So many bad things can happen at home and my friend just went to a funeral for a gal who had a home birth and couldn't get her baby to the hospital in time. I'm sure talc is going to make a lot of money from all this drama.
ReplyDeleteIt was so funny when Josie said Jill would be a good mom because "she will bake cake".
ReplyDeleteThe note Derick's dad wrote to Derick was precious! It brought tears to my eyes.
I love the Duggars! I wish I had cable so I could see the episode.
People just want the baby safe in the sling. I hope she looks at the instructions for that particular sling again. If she wre breast feeding she would have that blanket thing over her and not be in a posed picture. She isn't using meds, carrying the baby over her wound. Why? We want her not to be in pain and there is no religious reason for her not to take meds. In her position others are going to follow her lead. Does she want that on her conscience? Another mom not using meds for pain after delivery?
ReplyDeleteShe's probably not using pain med because: a) she is breastfeeding and b) she may not be in that much pain. After my c-section I only needs the stronger pain meds for maybe a week, than the was only the occasional twinge that passed quickly and didn't need medicated. I know we all saw the pictures of her grimacing while standi g outside of church but that doesn't mean she's in constant pain and everyone has a different tolerance for pain as well. As far as her carrying Israel over her wound...c-section incisions are very low so I don't think that is a problem. Other moms should make their own decisions about pain meds after delivery...it is not Jill's responsibility to tell than what to do.

ReplyDeleteyou can get all the episodes of youtube right after they air
Ok so if Jill wanted to take pain meds she could have its weird people feeling sorry for her. She did what she wanted. Its not a bad thing to refuse drugs if that's what you want to due. Also the other camp begging her and Jessa to take pain meds. They can if they want too. Why does it matter so much? Some women want to experience the pain and find satisfaction in surviving it! That's cool.. I dint use pain meds for several reason others due why is this such a issue on this blog?
