I think it's Duggar's Say Goodbye, but not sure. Also, Michelle's father died right after Josie was born. Not sure about her mother. There's also an ep where that is mentioned. It's after they go back home after being in Little Rock, but before Michelle brings Josie back home to their regular house.

ReplyDeleteIt showed an episode when Josie was still in the NICU that Michelle's father had gotten real sick and had passed away, if I'm not mistaken her mother had passed away before that, but don't quote me on that I'm not 100% positive. I'm not sure about Jim Bob's dad. Hope this was a little bit of help. Michelle's parents are also deceased - her mom when John and Jana were babies, if I'm not mistaken, and her dad shortly after Grandpa Duggar died.... again, if I'm not mistaken on the timeline. Am sure others will answer this question, too, and perhaps with more correct dates! (I love it when I hear more people are watching this show!) :)

ReplyDeleteNotice their bedding is the same colors as Jill and Jessa's wedding colors, interesting... Also, Jim Bob's father died years ago just after they first started doing the show. I believe Michelle's parents have also both died in this time frame but I'm not sure. They were older because Michelle was a "surprise" baby coming many years after the rest of her siblings.

He and Grandma Duggar moved in with JimBob and family several months before his death so that Grandma (Mary Duggar) would have help with his care. Michelle's Dad died when Josie was a young infant after several years of poor health. His wife died in the early years of Michelle and JimBob's marriage--1991.

To answer your first question, Grandpa Duggar passed away a couple of years ago before Josie was born. I think Michelle might have been pregnant with Josi at the time but I'm not 100% sure.All I know is that he passed away durung 18 kids. Second question. Michelles parents did appear on one episode(that I have seen anyway!) where there was a big family reunion. Grandma and Grandpa Ruark havn;t reakky appeared on many episode though as far as I know.

Jim Bob's father had a brain tumor and when he got very sick from that, he and grandma moved in with the Duggars. Grandma stayed after that. Michelle's parents moved to Ohio about the time Jim Bob and Michelle got married. Michelle's mom passed away in the early 1990's. They had an episode where the Duggars went to Ohio for a family reunion while Michelle's father was still alive. I think it was Grandpa Ruark's birthday maybe. Some of the Duggar boys wrote poems or speeches for him. He passed away, as many mentioned, when Josie was a baby. That just leaves Grandma Duggar, who still lives with them. I think the reunion in Ohio was about the only time they showed Michelle's family. Seems like I vaguely remember a cousin from Michelle's side being shown back when Josh had the car lot. Does anyone else remember that? Thanks for letting me write such a long comment. :)

Don't get me wrong--I think she's beautiful and am hoping she and Ben loosen the legalistic reigns a little and establish their own boundaries---

Even my husband that hardly ever comments on anything about the show commented on what a beautiful smile she had when we were watching the wedding segment!! As most women that have been pregnant before know, swelling is very common during pregnancy and I know Jessa wouldn't want to damage that gorgeous ring Ben designed just for her because she had to have it cut off!! Jess, being a retired maternal-fetal health nurse, I have always heard that having morning sickness is a sign of a healthy pregnancy!! Personally speaking, I had morning sickness with all four of my pregnancies right up to my deliveries!!! The best thing for it is to keep crackers by your beside and eat a couple of them before your feet hit the floor every morning!! What a difference it did made for me!! Also, never let yourself get hungry as it sets all day morning sickness off immediately!! Try six small meals a day. Just a quick note, I had three boys and one girl and my baby girl was carried much higher up right under my ribs just as your little one appears to be!! ReplyDeleteFor those of you wondering about Jim Bob's father and Michelle's parents, we wanted to make sure you have the correct info. :)
Michelle's mom passed away in 1991, and her father died in 2010. Jim Bob's father passed away in 2009.
