After a long recovery following Israel David Dillard's hospital birth, Jill Dillard is finally home. The delivery and details of the complications that the Dillards experienced will air on May 5th on TLC.

I can positively say that Michelle is helping to take care care of Isreal while Jill is bed bound and recovering, God bless that mama and her skills :)I hope we all will wait patiently for the particulars of the situation.We waited this long already, a little more time ain't gonna hurt :) N

ReplyDeleteIs that an IV in the background? Hope mom and baby are doing well, seems like it was a rough delivery.Risks of complications and infections rapidly increase when you start getting that far past your due date, and I wonder if doctors should have induced her earlier.

ReplyDeletePoor Jill, I know that all that really matters it that the baby and her are ok, but that couldn't have gone anything like she thought. That baby boy was too big for her! I feel bad if she had a c-section and long recovery. No fun for anyone!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like she still has an IV if you look at the bed post. I have had one many times so I know what they look like. I am praying for her and I can't wait to know what the complications were.

ReplyDeleteSeriously?! They won't let us know anything until then? :-( and I don't have cable so it'll be even longer... I think it's sad that Tlc won't even let them tell why they had to be in the hospital (or even why for so long) when so many people have been thinking of and praying for them.

ReplyDeleteI thought Derek got braces put on while Jill was still in hospital but in the photo when they came home he has no braces on. Weird!
ReplyDeleteGlad that jill is home. I am not sure or not if she had a c section , but both of my c sections I was in the hospital for only 3 nights. That is wonderful that your family could help you while you recovered. The way both of my babies were born it was not my plan. But I know for somereason it was His plan. Congrats and I can't wait to hear your birth story of your baby boy.

I saw the baby on facebook and he is so so cute. I think it is cool that he broke the hospitol's record for largest baby born there. BTW Jill is my favorite.
