Still no baby announcement from the Dillards, but keep checking the blog, as we will continue to post updates.
After posting Jessa and Ben's marriage vows (click here to read), we received several requests for Jill and Derick's vows. Your wish is our command!
Pastor: Do you, Derick, take Jill, the woman you hold by the hand, to be your lawful and only wife, to love and to cherish, to honor and sustain, in sickness and in health, in poverty as in wealth, and to remain devotedly true to her in all conditions and circumstances until the day of your death or hers?
Derick: I do.
Pastor: Jill, do you take Derick, the man you hold by the hand, to be your lawful and wedded husband, pledging here and now to love him above all, save God and His will, and indicating that you will honor him compassionately, encourage him in all difficulty, until death part you both?
Jill: I do.

I thought I remembered them saying something like, "I pledge here and now, this solemn vow... With this ring I thee wed... With loyal love I thee endow..." something to that effect?
ReplyDeleteHey why doesn't jana and take there share of the money from the show and book deals and go and become her own person not mom babysitter. Why is it t :) at Mrs digger wanted all these kids but make the other kids watch them? It's her job not there's. There job is to be kids and enjoy life before they have there own.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right this is something that I have always wondered
DeleteI thought I remembered them saying, "I pledge here and now this solemn vow... With this ring I thee wed... With loyal love I thee endow..." something to that effect? The same as Michelle and Jim Bob's wedding vows I believe? :)
ReplyDeleteI just love there vows so much! I hope that the delivery goes well for Jill.
ReplyDelete-AJ-
I pray that baby comes out soon I was over due with my son and it's not fun now we are having baby number 3 tomorrow and I can't wait good luck Jill and Derick
ReplyDeleteShe is probably in labor or already had the baby but can't post news until People give the ok. It's so exciting. If she's not in labor, then how about a 42 week picture?
ReplyDeleteSuch great vows! Can't wait to hear when the baby is born!
ReplyDeleteDerick should give Jill a massage. I heard the oxitocin can help start labor contractions.
ReplyDeleteSo happy for Jessa and Ben and their family's.
ReplyDeleteHave a question about an episode in the season of "19 Kids" that just ended. I kept seeing trailers about Josie having a seizure and being rushed to the hospital. Somehow I must have missed the episode. Details, please.
Thanks for keeping us up dated on the delivery of Jill and Derick ' s baby boy. Both weddings were beautiful. Some of us are checking the Blog every couple of hours for an update so thank you very much for all you do.
ReplyDeleteYes we are. Lol
DeleteI think Saturdays profile pic was the last one. Labor was probably starting and she was getting one last pic. She is probably about to deliver today (Monday ) or already has. I am too worried about the placenta to go over two weeks
ReplyDeleteHello- can u please PLEASE post a pic of Anna just like u would do for Jill. Thanks u SOOOOOOOOOO much :)
ReplyDeleteBecca
I would like if mine could get posted to. I done it 3 times and notin. So anxiouse for the baby. Love to see baby dilly.
ReplyDeleteJill and Derick might decide, once the baby is born, not to tell the world right away. They may wait a few days so they can have some privacy with the little one and their families. Hopefully, with the baby being this much overdue, it is not too big.....especially for a first one. All the best.
ReplyDeleteThey get paid to share their lives with the world. Otherwise, they'd be broke with all of those kids. Remember when show first aired and they were all crammed in the small house? Sharing their lives publicly got them the big house.
DeleteMy 7 year old daughter and I love your show and it is one I can feel great that she watches!!! I think you guys are so awesome even though you catch alot of flack for diff things but the mom and Dad not having these beliefs per say as young people but have given your children a line of wisdom and communication with faith and God so great that they choose to live this way without even a wonder of walking the other side. Thank you all for putting something so all around nice on the tube!!!
ReplyDeleteTo the person who questioned how they could be best friends after knowing each other such a short time, I would say that when you meet the person God has chosen for you, you know. I knew my future husband was my best friend when I met him when I was fifteen years old. He was seventeen. He has been my best friend for fifty-five years now. (And counting!)
ReplyDeleteMy husband said he knew the moment he met me, I was his best friend and the one he was to marry. I just thought he was a cute guy, so it took me a bit longer to warm up to him... lol
DeleteNicely worded!!!!! And congratulations on 55 years (and counting)!!!!!!! :) :) :)
DeleteAww. So cute. As always. God bless them and Baby Dilly!
ReplyDeleteDerick & Jill--My name is Brea Gotthardt. I am a pastor's wife in Las Vegas, NV (Life Baptist Church). My girls (Kaylee - 11 & Shana - 12 years old) & I have LOVED getting invited into your lives & the lives of the Duggar family through 19 Kids & Counting!!! :) You guys are such an encouragement to the watching world of loving God and loving your family!!! You guys have been on my heart, so I wanted to take a minute to pray over you. Father, in the name of Jesus, would You KEEP reminding Jill and Derick that You are going before them? (*Psalm 139) Would You cover Jill's womb and bless her with a healthy delivery? Oh God, would you bless their son to accept Jesus at a young age and purpose in his heart to follow You all his life? Father, please pour a double portion of Your blessing on Derick & Jill as You're about to entrust them with the AMAZING blessing of parenthood. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen *Isaiah 26:3
ReplyDeletewhy does derick's vow say until death of himself or her and jill's says until the death of them both?
ReplyDeleteSounds to me like their marriage ends when they die. Sad. I would rather have an eternal marriage...which I do.
DeleteHappy easter monday!
ReplyDeleteCan we have a close look of Jessas ring/wedding band in detail?
ReplyDeleteBlessings!💗Can't wait to meet your little one!
ReplyDeleteLike Anonymous said 11 I would like for people to see this done this before but not nothing

ReplyDeleteBaby Dilly going to be so cute. whats he's name going to be? can't wait
i was wondering the same thing, that maybe they are keeping it quiet for the privacy. i'm wondering if they'll name baby dilly ''caleb'' since they're looking to maybe use family names. caleb richard sounds nice.
ReplyDeleteanon 14 4/6/15 @ 8:14pm: congratulations on 55 years! that is quite a milestone!
They did say " I pledge here and now...", same wows as Michelle and Jim Bob said before. Michelle even talked about it on the show.
ReplyDeleteWe found that the gravity free land chairs helped our pregnant daughter-in-law she sat in ours and went into labor when she stood up. We're thinking the gravity helped take presure off her back. The baby was able to move down into the birth canal. Praying for Jill and her precious family.
ReplyDeleteThey are probably waiting until the show tonight telling everyone its a boy. Hopefully at the end they will announce that he's been born and show us all. I am sure the midwife won't let her go much longer. I wish that people who don't like this family and have bad things to say would just pass it by and write on a page they do like. Let them be. If I could make my child behave as well as she does I may have had more too. Great family Duggers, Seewalds, Dillard's, Bates, Paine's and Willis's all great holsome families to watch and learn from.
ReplyDeleteI would like to comment as well to the person who questioned how could they be best friends after knowing each other such a short time. I met my best friend in May 9, 1990, he proposed 2 weeks later, we were married August 4,1990 we are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this year. I always tell people our real anniversary is May 9, 1990 the day we met was the day our hearts became one. When you find your soul mate it happens very fast. My parents met and married in less then 6 months they were happily married for 43 years until my daddy's death. When I was a young girl my Mom told me don't settle for a man who doesn't love you and treat you as well as your daddy does, you will know when your Mr. Right comes along your heart will tell you. Finding your best friend and soul mate can happen very fast, true love has no timing.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Jill isn't late maybe she is right on time, they may have found out really early in the pregnancy as these tests are so sensitive now. God Bless for a safe delivery.
ReplyDeleteHe is here according to People.com
