Jill Dillard is two days away from her due date, and Baby Dilly still has not made his debut. This evening, Jill and Derick had Jana Duggar and Jinger Duggar, as well as Jessa and Ben Seewald, over for dinner and board games. The Duggars really enjoy Settlers of Catan, as it is a great game for large groups of people.

ReplyDeleteSeriously, are the Duggars not concerned about the environment not to mention family meals should be special. Paper plates and plastic forks? Didn't their parents teach them better or is it just laziness.

ReplyDeleteConsidering the Duggar's frugal ways, there's one thing that is surprising- their consistent use of paper plates and plastic flatware. I guess one could understand using them from time to time when feeding 20+ people at every meal, but Jill does this with just a few. To each his own, but unless it is a picnic or you are serving a large crowd, I think the hospitable thing to do is serve guests with regular dishes and silverware. When you take the time to set a nice table for someone, it's one way of showing you appreciate their company. At the very least, I would think the Duggars would want to set an example for the cameras.

Jill, I urge you to consider getting an Epidural Painkiller for your labor and delivery- as Wkelly Bates encouraged Whitney, it was Awesome of Kelly Bates to feel such compassion for Whitney not to see her suffer pain needlessly. Both Kelly and Michelle Duggar have had Epidural Painkillers for their last few pregnancies. In fact, from experience I can tell you that the Epidural makes the ChildBirth a MORE spiritual experience where you and husband can actually enjoy and appreciate the miraculous moment in a calm atmosphere!

He'll make his debut when he's ready. My first born was almost three weeks late when he was born and my youngest on time babies come when they're ready and not before

ReplyDeleteThere was an early episode showing Michelle's family reunion in Ohio with her father and siblings. Her father has since passed away. Her mother died many years ago. Her siblings don't live near her so they naturally would not appear on the show. Therefore, since Jim Bob's family all live nearby they would be seen on the show regularly.

ReplyDeleteEliana,uncles and aunts etc are mentioned when appropriate. Given that they live in another state, filming would be harder. Michelles sisters and brother may also not particularly want to be filmed or be in the media spotlight. And thats understandable and fine. Cant comment on people who wish to remain private.
ReplyDeleteEliana,also. Michelles mother died years ago. She is mentioned in their first book.Michelles father died while Michelle was in Little Rock when Josie was a baby. That was mentioned on the show AND in their second book. And one of Michelles sisters died not long after that. I cant remember which one or why. But i will see if i can find out.
ReplyDeleteI love my family dearly, but if any of them were involved with a reality tv show, I would tell them lovingly that I do not wish my visits to be taped for the show. It could be the same with Michelle's side of the family.

ReplyDeleteHi Eliana, both of Michelle's parents are deceased. We have on occasion seen her relatives, but not often. I am thinking because they are so far away ( they live in Ohio) and or they just do not want to part of the show.
What did they have for dinner? It looks yummy but not sure what it is.

ReplyDeleteMichelle's parents are both deceased. Michelle's mom passed away before the show even started. Michelle's dad was on the show occasionally and passed away in 2011. Also, Michelle's family lives in Ohio and perhaps they don't want to be shown on the show. They do visit them often, though and have posted pics of some of the kids' cousins from Ohio. One of Michelle's sisters did pass a couple of years ago too.

ReplyDeleteOf all the Duggar kids only one has my heart and she is Jinger, it is weird in that I know I will never get to know her except on the T.V. and in some cases that is ok but sometimes it is not,she has interested me in her for at least five years especially with her camera work as to I like cameras too.
