Jill Dillard, whose due date is today, is having Braxton Hicks contractions, but her son has still not made his debut. In an interview with PEOPLE Magazine, she shared that she is planning for Baby Dilly to arrive late. Watch the video below for an update from Jill.
There is no video. The Bates videos on their blog site work but the Duggars site videos are not there. Can you fix it?
ReplyDeleteHeavenly Father,
ReplyDeleteWe ask that You give Jill a safe and peaceful labor with no complications and pain, and that You give to her and Derick a healthy bouncing baby boy, and also that Jill has a speedy recovery in return.
In Your Name, Amen!!!
Amen!!
DeletePrayers for a safe delivery for Jill and her son. :)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing those sweet baby pictures soon!
I'm too excited for words! Can't wait! Baby Dilly Is having the most loving parents!
ReplyDeleteHow does she plan to have the baby late? I get her point about not getting discouraged but is sounds very weird when your talking about having a baby.
ReplyDeleteTo all the naysayers who wrongly speculated the conception of Jill's pregnancy, I hate to say I told you so...but I'm gonna.
ReplyDeleteCan't see the video! Good luck, Jill! I admire you for having the baby at home. But don't be afraid to go to the hospital if need be! Prayers from north Georgia!!!
ReplyDeleteAwwwww man, will he ever be here? :-)
ReplyDeleteI cant see video, but I am glad she was not early. There were too many people online who tried to say she was already expecting at the wedding and even though her and her family and friends know the truth, it would have given them things to "bash" about and this way we don't have to listen to that all from "haters". My 1st one was 10 days late. I still wonder if she is carrying twins and keeping it a secret. She looks like she has a lot of baby(ies) in there.
ReplyDeleteThat would be so exciting!!!!
DeleteI doubt it. Twins usually come early.
DeleteThey already said Derrick was a big baby. I do worry about her going too long overdue, especially with a planned home birth. The risks of meconium aspiration are already there.
DeleteGod bless you and baby will make his entrance when ready. 3 of my 4 children were late .
ReplyDeleteI wonder if he has delivered by c section cause he is so big.
ReplyDeletePrayers that you have a fast delivery;-)
ReplyDeletebest of luck!
ReplyDeletePraying for you guys! Can't wait to meet Baby Dilly! Have any names picked out yet?
ReplyDeletebest wishes for an easy birth and a healthy baby.
ReplyDeleteHe isn't going to be "late" Due dates can be two weeks off. He'll come when he comes.
ReplyDeleteThe nail polish industry is lovin the Duggar ladies!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised they haven't just started making their own to save more money lol. They make so many other things for that reason :)
DeleteJill is so intelligent! Never knew she was armed with so much knowledge and always acquiring more! She is going to become an excellent midwife!
ReplyDeleteInsightful of Jill to know best what is going on with her body and to stay calm, best wishes!
ReplyDeleteGet as much rest as you can, Jill! The time is almost here and sleep will become a luxury, trust me. Enjoy this precious little guy and don't rush to have another one anytime soon. Children need all your love and attention, and I know you guys need time to spend on just him. So, here's hoping the best of everything for the three of you.
ReplyDeleteI was 2 weeks early.... almost 3 months early. He decided to stay put until closer to his due date.
ReplyDeleteWhy do they always sell everything to People Magazine, which is a magazine that I would never
ReplyDeletepurchase or look at? I would be embarrassed to have it on my coffee table. Not exactly a Christian magazine or even fit for homeschoolers.
Maybe they want to witness to people who are lost ... be that light in such a dark world.
DeleteBecause they pay good money and mainstream buys it
Deletefirst babies usually are a little late as long at he is healthy....GOD BLESS
ReplyDeleteI wana know what the name will be of their sweet baby boy any ideas out there?
ReplyDeleteI hope Jill has a quick labor and an easy delivery
ReplyDeleteDo you want your son to where only boy colors or mix colors? I watch your show when you started with firs on 14 kids and pregnant long time ago.
ReplyDeleteyour biggest fan
I had to laugh when he tried to pronounce "midwifery". It's probably not a word he's ever had to use before!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool that Jill is studying midwifery when she is about to have her little boy. I am so happy for her! I hope that the delivery goes well. I am glad that she is really calm that she has not yet had her child and that she will probably have him late.
ReplyDeleteLove the show and blog!!
God bless you all
~AJ~
A due date is just an estimate. Baby's not actually late until 42 weeks.
ReplyDeleteGod's timing is always perfect.
In regards to Susanna Keller - look at the mercy Jesus had with the woman taken in adultery - he said go your way and sin no more.
ReplyDeleteI think that banning her name from the show does more to discredit Christ's teachings.
You could even tell the camera that you don't love her sin, but you love Susanna.
I really think that would show the world Christ's love.
I do pray for your family often and wish you the best.
Hang in there jill and dereick hes on duggar time hell be here soon
ReplyDeleteHa! :-)
DeleteHey jill keep your faith up the baby will come I am happy for you from nancy.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait!
ReplyDeleteLily and Ellie, I thought of a game that would be fun...Why don't you post a picture of all the Duggar kids when they were babies at the same age and see if we can guess who is who...What do you think? That would be fun :-)
ReplyDeleteNo video loading....?
ReplyDeleteNot late. God's time and man's time are very different times. :) Prayers for a safe delivery!! ~Tammy H.
ReplyDeleteWe want to see you baby dilly, make your debut
ReplyDeleteI guess I really need to work on my patience:)
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know why the ambulance was at her house a few days ago? Hope all is well!
ReplyDeleteThey probably sell stories to People because many people who need to hear the Gospel message read People magazine. The unsaved aren't usually reading Christian magazines.
ReplyDeleteHay from Abbotsford!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you HAVE the safest of safest, deliveries, and I can't wait to see him!!!!!! My Mother sipped Lavender Tea while she was giving birth, it helps with feelings of sickness, and it helps her by smelling the lovely fragrance too!!! GOD SPEED!!!!!
I've wondered that too. I think it has to do with telling their story truthfully rather than just let all the tabloids and other publications make things up. If the family gives access to People Magazine then they can be sure the articles are truthful. How many times have you seen false stories about the family on the internet. If I'm going to pick up People Magazine in a doctor's waiting room, I would rather read about the Duggars than all the others that appear in magazine. You can't ask for better role models - hopefully the wide audience the magazine reaches will be touched by the Duggar family's testimony.
ReplyDeletePlease leave this baby boy intact, the way God made him...PERFECT!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous I have a few things to say about this, first when Susanna's baby was born, Jill was just starting her midwife lessons, so why would someone want a unlicensed midwife to deliver a baby? Second Jill lives in Arkansas and Susanna lives in Fla. Why would anyone want their midwife to live thousands of miles away? And last point, I refuse to believe that the family would not allow her, this article was just all lies to discredit the family.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jill and Derrick. I will be praying that you have a safe delivery. Gods it timing is always best. You both are going to make wonderful parents.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jill and Derrick. You both are going to make wonderful parents. I'll be praying that you have a safe delivery.
ReplyDeleteBaby Dilly will come when he comes! Good for Jill, I know it wouldn't be easy to wait for my baby. Praying for a safe and easy delivery, as well as a very healthy baby boy! Congrats to Daddy and Momma!
ReplyDeleteI hope baby Dilly arrives on my birthday! March 29!
ReplyDeleteI think them telling the camera they don't love her sin but they love her is condescending. Just love her. Period. I'm sure they know a lot of sinners. They don't seem to speak on others sin in other situations. Or even their own. She is more than a person who did more than side hugs. Most of the world doesn't care when the baby comes. If it came 7 months in that is fine. A baby is a blessing.
ReplyDeleteMy wish is for a safe, healthy baby plus an easy labor and delivery for mom. As a fan I would love for the baby Dillard to be born on April 1st, as that is my baby.
ReplyDeleteThank You God for letting her go full term so it would stop the rumors. Which I'm sure rumors didn't bother her or Derrick because they know she got pregnant about 2 weeks after marriage. Give her an easy birth and healthy baby. God Bless Love your family! Can't wait to hear the good news.
ReplyDeletehow long will jill wait. since she will not be going to a hospital and doing it at home. going past a certin time can be very dangerous? Praying for wisdom from God for a safe delivery?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteI think it is a way to reach the lost. Many that do not know Jesus would not know that this is really a way of life and that is a blessing tothose that God is trying to reach.
Hi Readers,

@Ruthie -- True. For those of us in big cities, midwifery is a foreign concept. I would have to look in a dictionary to know how to pronounce it. Can someone explain why do people prefer midwives to doctors? I assume it is to save money or because they are far from a hospital? If given the opportunity, I can't imagine choosing not to have state of the art medical assistance available in case of emergency.
ReplyDelete@AnonymousIm sure she knows what she is talking about and the baby will come when God says its time......she is just trying not to get too anxious. can anyone have good to say these days about anything????
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous 34,
Great idea! Thanks! :)
~Lily and Ellie
For those who hold virginity until marriage as a badge of honor- would Jill's baby be any less of a blessing had it been conceived prior to the wedding? I don't think so and I have a hunch God wouldn't either.
ReplyDeleteAs for PEOPLE ragazine........I used to subscribe to it for years. It was the only magazine I would read, but as of the last couple years it has taken a 180. It has become filth. As far as the Duggars being in this trash to possibly reach the lost .....they hardly speak of Gods word anymore. It's all about jill and Jessa and look at me, look at me!
ReplyDeleteI am very surprised to still see comments expressing concern about Jill's date of conception, and how that has been, and still might be, misconstrued. The formula used to calculate a due date is readily available online, and it is actually very simple. For anyone who might be confused when Jill now says that she is "40 weeks and 2 days" along, or if you want to explain this to someone speculating about this on another website, here is the calculation: A baby's due date is officially computed by adding 266 days to the date of conception. However, because most women do not know exactly when they conceived, this is more often calculated by adding 280 days to the date her last period began - which is two weeks earlier. So, even though Jill says she has been pregnant for 40 weeks, she has really only been expecting for 38 weeks. To compute when Jill conceived, and silence any naysayers out to damage her reputation, you can work this formula backwards. Jill was really 38 weeks, and 2 days along on March 27th. So she has actually been pregnant for (38 X 7) + 2 = 268 days as of the 27th - which is 26 days in March, 28 in February, 31 in January, 31 in December, 30 in November, 31 in October, 30 in September, 31 in August, and 30 in July (26 + 28 + 31 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 30 = 268 days) So "Baby Dilly" was conceived in early July, well after Jill and Derick were married. I sincerely hope that this quiets the rumours otherwise, and helps those speculating about this issue to understand that Jill truly is a blessed example of a young woman who honestly lives the principles that she believes and holds dear.
ReplyDeleteto true!
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine carrying that long. I've never been more than 34 weeks pregnant.
ReplyDeleteYou're all in my prayers. Jill and Derrick your baby is a ture blessing.all my love (your number 1 fan ) Meeker family
ReplyDeleteGood luck Jill and Derrick you will be great parents. Hope all is well with you and the baby. Cannot wait to see him. Be good.
