Josh and Anna Duggar announced the gender of their fourth child this morning. (Click here to find out if they are having a boy or a girl.) In a recent PEOPLE article, the couple opened up about their growing family.
At 21 weeks pregnant, Anna's morning sickness has begun to subside. She and Josh are still in the process of choosing a name and plan to announce it soon.
While Josh and Anna are leaving the size of their family up to God, they did the math and determined that the chances of them having 20 kids are very unlikely. The couple has considered adoption and may choose to go down that path in the future.
Josh says he believes children are one of life's greatest joys.
"You can have a career and be famous and have lots of money, but that will fade," says the oldest of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's 19 kids. "Children will be there. When we were young, we would visit nursing homes with my family, and when I talked to people there, the number one joy they wanted to share was their children and family. And those who didn't have children expressed the greatest regret. We want to be the best parents we can be."
Will baby #4 be delivered at home? Josh and Anna are working with a group of DC midwives, and as long as no complications arise, they hope to deliver at home or at the midwives' birthing center.
Five-year-old Mackynzie Duggar is especially thrilled at the idea of having a sister.
"Mackynzie made a recording saying, 'Hi, little sister, it is so great to meet you, you are already my best friend,' " says Anna.
After this baby arrives, there will be a whopping 29 people on Jim Bob and Michelle's family tree. (2 parents + 19 kids + 3 in-laws + 5 grandkids)

Yaaaay it's a girl!!!! They were due for a girl
ReplyDeleteI bet they are thrilled!!!
Why do they expect such closeness btw siblings and from their children when it doesn't seem they are close to their siblings? Just seems odd.
ReplyDeleteYou forgot mama Duggar.
If they are leaving the number up to God why adopt? Sounds like they are reaching for a number if they chose to adopt.
God may be leading them down the path to adopt
DeleteWOW!
ReplyDeleteI knew it was going to be a girl!!! Congratulations Josh and Anna!!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! A girl is a great addition to the family!
ReplyDeleteI think they should keep the "M" thing and name her Michelle!
ReplyDelete"And those who didn't have children expressed the greatest regret."
ReplyDeleteThat comment is rude. What about those who are infertile or people who never found a suitable partner or couples who (for whatever reason) just didn't feel like God was calling them to parenthood?
I realize the ridiculousness of saying this to the Duggar clan, but children aren't the end goal for everyone. Just as I am sure the Duggars want to be respected for their choice to have 19 children, so would the people who have 0. We are all on different paths, exploring this crazy gift of life. Let's be respectful and kind to one another in the process.
I think they were talking about those who couldnt conceive, regretting the fact, and maybe being a little sad. Not those who chose not to.
DeleteI agree with you, I thought it was kind of disrespectful, NOT all people that don't have kids chose that. I myself haven't been able to conceive a baby, I was pregnant 2 times and both times I had a miscarriage, it was the hardest things ever . Since I never told any of my family members, I always get told "you are so lucky you don't have kids, because you don't have to worry about anything you can go and come where ever you want when ever u want, I wish I could go back and not have kids for a long time" That upsets me because I DON'T FEEL LUCKY, I'M NOT happy. my biggest wish is to become a mother, women that can have kids don't know how lucky they are. They take that blessing for granted. So that's why I find that comment disrespectful because you have no idea what the real reason of not having a baby is,don't judge a book by it's cover. You can't just assume it was a choice, I for sure didn't choose not to have any.
DeleteCongratulations to them, but the Duggar Show should not have riled everyone up saying the Duggars have a "Big Announcement". That is something to reserve for Weddings, Courtship, Engagement, and Pregnancy announcements. A Gender reveal does not rise to that level to make everyone let down when they find out the BIG announcement is to say if it is a boy or girl. We knew that Whitneynwas having a boy all along, and Jill is not announcing the gender. If Anna wants to announce the gender, that is nice, but they shouldn't have done this big announcement thing that made everyone guess all kind of things and will lead to a let down.but good luck to Anna and Josh on a Healthy happy baby, no matter boy or girl!
ReplyDeleteJill has announced that she is having a boy.
DeleteJill is having a boy. It was announced a while back both on this blog and TLC.
DeleteSorry but it is a big deal in my view
Jill announced a while back that she is having a boy...
DeleteJill is having a boy!
DeleteI think they should name her Melody, Megan or Morgana.
ReplyDeleteSo glad it's a girl! Call her Melody!!
ReplyDeleteMy middle child is named Melody! Beautiful name as in a song
DeleteCongrats i am happy for you and i love your show you and your family have a lot of love and compassion and mostly our precious lord in your life and home keep putting him first and you will go far in life
ReplyDeleteLots of great "M" girl names Margo, Mason, Madison, Madeleine, Mollie, Mattie, Marla, and lots of others !! Congrats !!!
ReplyDeleteI was sure it will be a boy, but they got lucky! Now it will even up.
ReplyDeleteSo Anna will be 27 when the baby is born, she probably might have another 7 kids if they have them like now, every 2 years. But yeah, no 20 kids.
They should name her Mary after Grandma Mary
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your daughter. Happy Birthday Josh.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your daughter. Happy Birthday Josh
ReplyDeleteWhy do they give interviews to a magazins they believe to read them is a sin? I mean there are many christian magazins on the market, why don't they speak with them?
ReplyDeleteYeah for another girl! Anna and Michelle were both 21 when they had their first babies so they could have as many. Anna could have a few twins as well.
ReplyDeleteJust name the baby Mary Michelle and get it over with!
ReplyDeletePlease, please dont name her Madison!!! I have a bad feeling they will though :(
ReplyDeleteI like Makayla/Mikayla. They would probably end up calling her Kayla which sounds so cute with Kynzie.
ReplyDeleteA close second is Megan/Meghan. It is just such a pretty name!
McKayla would be a great name. Starts with M and nickname starts with K (Kayla or Kaylee) just like McKenzie / Kenzie.
ReplyDeleteJill announced long ago that baby Dilly is a boy. You are really stretching for something to criticize.
ReplyDeleteI think they should name the baby Mary after Josh's Grandma. Mary is a nice name.
ReplyDeleteMichelle is pregnant! I just saw a clip on TLC of her and Jim Bob telling the news!
ReplyDeleteCongratulions josh and anna on the girl all your kids are beautiful
ReplyDeleteI think Madison will be a lovely name .So happy for Josh and Anna and all the Duggars
ReplyDeletewell done, I am sure you are both pleased but do not mind as long as the baby is happy and healthy ,I think milly is a lovely name my granddaughter is florrie milly .also happy birthday josh enjoy your day with your family
ReplyDeleteHi Anna,Josh,Mackynzie,Michael and Marcus,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your daughter/baby sister. God Bless you and yours.
Joan,Marion and Marilyn
Lovvvvvve what Mack shared!!!
ReplyDeleteI think Megan is a great name for a girl! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, so special for Mackynzie! Children are a joy! Josh is so right about that.
ReplyDeleteI think they should name her caddie. Congrats and happy birthday josh
ReplyDeletemy count: 1 Grandma Mary + 2 parents(Michelle & Jim Bob) + 19 kids + 3 in-laws (spouses) + 5 grandkids = 30 + when you add Cousin Amy and her parents the grand total is 33 people on the family
ReplyDeleteThe bates tree: 2 parents(Kelly Jo & Gil) + 19 kids + 3 in-laws (spouses) + 3 grandkids =27 + 1 courting in Brandon = 28 people ( When Alyssa, and Erin babies arrive)
when the entire two families come together 33 + 28 = 61
which means 38 children, 8 grandchildren = 46 children between the two families
people
Jill is having a boy....
ReplyDeleteDo any of the kids go to college or getting a degree in some kind of profession, such as teacher, lawyer, engineer, nurse or become a doctor?
ReplyDeleteI agree Madison is cute but so overused!
ReplyDeleteMeagan is a really cute name especially for a girly girl.
Molly is also another cute name for a baby girl.
WOW! a Baby Girl!!! i'm so excited 4 ya'll!!!! God bless ya'll and i pray that she'll b a healthy and strong Baby Girl! i know that 'Knzie is SO pumped! 'Knzie and Michael will b great big helpers! i can't wait 2 see what else God does in ya'lls lives. love ya XD
ReplyDeletePumped? What does that mean????
DeleteI just watched this show and must ask, is the boy Ben that married one of the daughters a bit off? He seems very slow and dense.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Anna's physical body is not strong enough to bear multiple and rapid pregnancies. Millions are not. There must be medical reasons to halt the number of children conceived, not only to prevent difficulties for the baby but to preserve the mother's health and well being for her future.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous said... 7
ReplyDeleteI agree with you...very well said!
Hello, I don't know if Anna is reading this but I think that you should name your daugher my beautiful and unusual name:
ReplyDeleteMarcelina pronounced - Mar-seh-lina
I love my name and I have never met anyone with that name!
I think Maggie would be a cute little name for this new baby!
ReplyDeleteJill looks beautiful
ReplyDeleteJill? I think you mean Anna! And she does. :)
DeleteMakenna or melody
ReplyDeleteMaybe they could name her Myra Michelle. Myra is a bible name and it means: I flow; pour out; weep).
ReplyDeleteCongrats u guys sooooooooo happy for u. I can't help but put in a suggestion for the name.
ReplyDeleteMeredith Rosalyn as first and middle name. I also think that Edith is such a pretty name short for Meredith. It means great lady and Rosalyn means the beautiful flower.
Thank you for saying that because I am 41 and sometimes feel I am a failure for not finding the right man to marry and having children so comments like really bother me. As much as I love the Duggar's, I hate hearing those remarks.
ReplyDeleteYay! I am excited that she is having another girl. Kenzie needs a little sister she can dress up and do her hair! If they are sticking with M's some suggestions are Melany, Marissa, Molly, Meranda, and Maddy
ReplyDeleteI say Miranda or Melissa
ReplyDeletei LIKE MEKENNA Renae Duggar
ReplyDeleteCongrats . Glad you finally get a sister mckinzie
ReplyDeletename her Mikayla Anne Duggar, Madison Addi Duggar, Morgan Grace Duggar!! Congrats!!
ReplyDeleteMackenna Ranee Duggar is a beautiful name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love you guys and make sure you tell all the little ones hi from Morgan!!
ReplyDeleteI like Mikayla as a name. Even though it is reasonably popular name, there are so many fun ways to spell it differently. The spell in by itself makes the name unique.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really beautiful name and one I could consider for a daughter myself, but something tells me it's too exotic for Josh and Anna. It doesn't match their other kids' names.
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS ANNA AND JOSH JUST HOPE AND PRAY THE BABY IS HEALTHY AND YOU HAVE A EASY DELEIVERY. THYE NAME MARY MICHELLE SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD NAME.
ReplyDeleteAre Jessa and Jill really at odds with each other?
ReplyDeletename her after jesus mama

ReplyDelete@Anonymous@<a Josh was just stating what he heard from all the patients in the nursing homes his family visited when he was growing up. Those with children, their children were their greatest joy. Those without children, not having children was their greatest regret. These views had a lasting impact on Josh.
ReplyDeleteI love how closely this family reads and lives the Bible. God says in Psalms 127:3,4,5 that children are a blessing . I too have had elderly people feel very lonely in their old age because they didn't have children. Just go to a rest home or a senior assisted living and ask those who have no visitors. Yes the churches go and sing and are with those people, but its not family. These are the facts. We get to decide to adopt, foster or get involved in a church family.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Josh & Anna !!!
ReplyDeleteI think the name Melany is an awesome name !!! sending love & prayers to you & your growing Family !!!
girls names molly Annabelle Makayla ellieanna madeline Rebecca God Bless
ReplyDeleteTo anonymous 7: As a 60+ woman who could never have children, I understand the sentence about the biggest regret. It was stated by someone who is growing old and will probably die alone, and the comfort and love of children is a wish for most of us, birthed or adopted. I believe also that there are many children who also need that same thing, and those with a true servant,s heart would be willing to give it to birthed and adopted children alike. I applaud the fact they don't have to feel they can only love children of their womb. No offensive meant to you anonymous, but I congratulate them on their choices.
ReplyDeletethey are leaving it up to God. if they turn towards adoption that is still leaving up to God he is turning them in that direction.God has a child waiting for them (everyone) no matter how they receive it.
ReplyDeleteI think the name's Miriel, Mary, Martha, Malayna, and Miriam sound nice for a baby girl. Congratulations Josh and Anna, praying you have an easy delivery and a healthy happy baby. I love your show!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous Josh was not expressing his own opinion, he was simply recounting what the elderly people actually said to him, that they regretted not having had children (for whatever reason it happened that way). I would assume those who said such things did not make the conscious choice to remain childless, and that more than a few did experience infertility. What's wrong with those people looking back on their lives and wishing they had been able to be parents?? How is that insulting to anyone??
ReplyDelete@Anonymous Michaela
ReplyDelete@Anonymous You do know they already announced they were having a girl, right?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous I've never heard them say it's a sin to read People magazine, but I'm sure they believe it's unwise to read every issue cover to cover. They probably just read individual articles on People.com, and only those with a positive message, rather than keeping the printed magazine in the house. That way, none of the kids has to be exposed to pics of celebs in skimpy clothes or using foul language in interviews, and Jim Bob and Michelle don't have to be concerned about them becoming seduced by celebrity culture.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if they want to follow Jesus' example, they will go where all kinds of people are and shine their light among them. The Duggars have never believed in isolating themselves from people who aren't like them, they simply choose to live their own lives in a way they believe pleases God. It's called being IN the world but not OF the world. I mean, it doesn't do much good for Christians to only talk to other Christians, so doing a secular magazine interview actually makes perfect sense.
@kms Adoption is an ancient and honorable tradition. After all, Jesus was adopted by Joseph. All Christians are adopted into the kingdom when they become saved. Adoption is an awesome choice!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous No one has chosen a degreed profession yet, but if one of them wants that, they'll make it happen.
ReplyDelete• Josh is a political lobbyist.
• John David is a policeman, a pilot, and he owns a rental property.
• Jana is studying to become a doula.
• Jill is studying to become a midwife.
(John David, Jana, Jill, and Joseph have all had EMS and volunteer firefighter training.)
• I think Jessa is choosing to be a homemaker for now, but I think she would be great as a professional organizer (for people's homes), so I hope it occurs to her to get certified.
• Jinger enjoys photography, and I wouldn't be surprised if she turns that into a business.
• Joseph went to a Christian boot camp that introduced him to EMS and rescue work, so he might expand on that.
Josiah and a couple of the other younger boys have shown interest in film making, but I don't think I've heard of them wanting to pursue it professionally. Josiah is the only one of them old enough to be thinking about an eventual career anyway.
She does look stunning, but the symbol of a white wedding dress is to give the couple lots of children Fertility.......That is the reason of a white wedding dress..all the best in your new life, love the show
ReplyDeleteThe reason they grant interviews to secular, mainstream, "pop" magazines such as People, is so that the general public can have something wholesome to read, as well as to impact the culture in a positive way. You'd be surprised how many morally decent people there are who aren't "religious", yet they love the Duggars and watch their show faithfully every week. And, yes, articles about the Dugggars also appear in Christian magazines--- My March 2015 copy of Citizen Magazine, published by Focus on the Family, proves that.
ReplyDeleteThey should name her Michaela!!!
ReplyDeleteI almost named my daughter Mikayla but it didn't seem to fit her when I looked at her when she was born. Mikayla would shound cute with Mackynzie.
ReplyDelete@AnonymousI was never able to have children so my occuupation was a profession child care provider I did that for 20 years, I have nieces and nephews I'm not going to say that I'm happy not having children, but I am blessed with the children that I do have in my life, congratulations to those who can have children,
ReplyDeleteHave been watching some episodes of this show and am wondering what it's like when the parents completely lose their cool with all these kids. There is no way on earth that everything can always be so sweet, even in a Christan family. And she never gets annoyed at her husband?? Give us a break - there have got to be times when she just wants to bolt! It's all just a little nauseating to me! And if I'm completely off the mark here, kudos to them.
ReplyDelete@kms It is God who opens and closes the womb, determining the amount of children one physically can have. Adoption, giving parentless children a home and showing them love, is not the same thing. We are already told in scripture to love one another and to help those in need.
ReplyDeletewell said
ReplyDeleteLove this show!
ReplyDeleteIt's rather rude and insensitive to say that those without children live with the greatest regret. That's terribly naive and presumptuous, especially for a young man who still has plenty to learn about the world around him. People do not have children for a wide variety of reasons and do not necessarily live with any regret in particular. Populating isn't the only highly significant contribution people make during their lives. These Duggars demand respect for their religious views and practices. They would do well to demonstrate respect for others as well. My childless cousin has saved countless lives during her thirty plus years in medicine. A miraculous contribution equally blessed by God as aggressive procreation. I too am childless and do not live with regret for having chosen to care for and educate others' children. Including in developing countries, where I've been called to live and work.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Josh and Anna! Hope your baby girl will come safety and health. Name her Michelle!
ReplyDeleteLove the family and the show....
ReplyDeleteJoyful news, congratulations Josh and Anna! :)
ReplyDelete@Amber Boyd
ReplyDeleteI totally agree-:
Michelle, Marie (my sister's middle name) Michaela, Maggie) Margaret, Melissa or Mandy... but I'm sure you can think of many more :D
Have fun! Possibly get the Duggar children to help you ;)
Respect and Christian love, Shona.
@kms
ReplyDeleteI understand you thinking in this way, but if they have the money to take care of their kids, which OBVIOUSLY they have, and they have the love and energy to take care of a baby needing adoption, why shouldn't they :)
Respect and Christian Love, Shona
I think Mary Michelle is pretty, but I think I remember once where Anna slipped and said what she wanted to call a little girl. It was bleeped, and digitted, but I'm pretty sure it started with "Mar...", and was longer than "Mary"....hmm ..Margaret??
ReplyDelete@Anonymous Dear Annonymous, lol, 95!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say you're compleetely off the mark there, but I think you might be overlooking that there are different ways to make points than losing your cool.. I think they've said when they have something that needs to be discussed, or correcting, they first go, either with each other, or whoever the issue is with, to the Bible, and prayerfully seek answers to the problem. Or, sometimes it may be that they need to review the rules they live by... I have relatives whom, while possibly not as steeped in biblical principles as the Duggars, never raised their voice, and lived a very balanced, fulfilling life, and with several children! lol :)
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteWhile I understand the sensitivity of not having a child (38 and not married, but would like to be), Josh was repeating what was told to him. He didn't make that statement up AND was using that statement as further evidence of the life he and Anna are making together. I agree with your comment about being kind to one another - and this is a prime opportunity to do so.
What about Margaretta or Margaret
ReplyDeleteThere are MANY cute M names...Mercy, Madison, Meredith, Molly, Mariah, McKenna, Morgan, Miranda....Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteName the baby Mary, Michelle, Michaela (Kayla for short), or Marjorie. :) :) :) How about Marjorie Mary?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteI believe what they meant was those that they spoke to, who had no children, expressed regret. Those who had children, always spoke about their family. So the common theme that they saw was, family is very important so they want to be the best parents they can be.
I highly doubt that he was trying to be offensive in any way. They are entitled to their thoughts and opinions of what they have observed and you just need to take it as that. In the bible the lord says "children are a blessing," not all people are able to experience that or want to but it is something that this family believes in and we need to respect that.
God Bless! Congrats on your new addition!!
Congrats on the girl Anna you should write a book about how to raise your kids and stay out of debt
ReplyDeleteAnd how you teach your kids about your faith I would read that for sure good luck with your
Pregnancy hope it is not as eventful as Jill's but a blessing and wonderful will pray for you
Angela Taylor
Congrats! Mackynzie will get a sister now!
ReplyDeleteI have a wonderful friend and love her name: "Merrily" (it may be nick name for Merridith which is also beautiful) What a heritage a name like Merrily would give a child.
ReplyDeleteI like watching the Duggars on TV, they are a lovely family. I like the way they are bringing up
ReplyDeletetheir children in the right and Godly way, it reminds me of myself growing up with my aunts in
the caribbean. I was brought up so strictly I really thought I would be come a nun. Modesty was
always one of the things I was taught, now I am a married woman with three beautiful children and
I have passed these onto my kids. I keeping praying that God will bless them with good partners.
And for those who are offended when the Duggars point out that children are a blessing… The Bible doesn't say that children are the ONLY blessing, only that they are A blessing. If you don't have children, you can be blessed by God in many, many other ways. So everyone relax. :)
ReplyDeleteAny news on Jessa and Ben being parents?
ReplyDeleteCongrates Josh and Anna!!!!
ReplyDeleteJust to be fair, you should post some negative comments. Or just to keep it real.
ReplyDeleteNot rude at all! He was merely saying, certain people who did not choose to have children or couldn't, expressed regret. Are those people not entitled to how they feel or that they expressed it to him?
ReplyDelete@AnonymousJosh was not expressing his own opinion. He was simply saying what an elderly person had told him!
ReplyDeleteHow is stating what you have heard from those in a nursing home, rude? I have heard that from SO many of my older friends - wishing they had had JUST ONE MORE. It is a sad story that they retell, I've heard them repeatedly. There was no disrespect to those who choose any number of children here. May I suggest checking your own perceptions, accusations and motives? Blessings!
ReplyDeleteMaggie (Margaret) or Miranda :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Josh and Anna!!..What a blessing!..Thanks for being such an encouragement for other parents and younger people.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing that the family can have so many kids. I just hope that all the children or child gets the attention and love he or she deserve. 19 is a lot of work. I feel that having a smaller family you can give the love and attention that each child needs. Because nowadays it takes two parents to work to make the payments.
ReplyDeletecongratulations on another precious daughter. I see many people have offered their suggestions on "M" names and if may ....Mylie, Madison, Megan, Melissa, Mariah, Mary (only the holyest of all names), Marissa are all beautiful names. I hope whatever you choose that she is just healthy and you all enjoy her as much as I know you will. god bless...Julie Flowers Griswold Connecticut
ReplyDeleteEveryone seems to be so critical of the Duggars. I love the show and watch it with my daughter every week. I feel that they try to show how a family should be. If you read what Josh said you would see that he was recalling what some of the elderly people he would visit felt. Those people felt that one of their biggest regrets was never having children. He wasn't saying that or wasn't trying to hurt anyone by that comment it was simply just what he has heard as a child. I hope they have a wonderful pregnancy and an easy birth. Thank you for having a show on TV that is encouraging and focussed on family.
ReplyDeletethey can call her Maple, my granddaughters name
ReplyDeletehow about maryanna ella marissa Hayley mariella marie mayanna maybelle mkenna malana Mallory just som m names God bless you all
ReplyDeleteThe name Makenna, or McKenna would be so cute with Mckynzie, then it could be kynzie and kenna :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful news. Jessa will be perfect concerned Ben is very young what does he do for work
ReplyDeleteAre you picking another name starting with letter "M"? If you are,1 idea is Megan Michelle.
ReplyDeletecongrats
ReplyDeleteHere are a couple of names for the baby
ReplyDeletemadison
Makayla
Melissa
This is not a rude comment at all. I am sure that they did have regret. It is just a true observation. For those people who were not able to have children due their circumstances, well, then, they might have still been sad. If you desire a child badly enough, God will provide a way through adoption, etc. If they did not choose those avenues, then I am sure that yes, they are now regretful if they had indeed desired children. He was not speaking of those people who chose no children on purpose. Of course they would not be regretful. But truthfully, how sad of a choice. Children are God's most special gift! You must believe that, or you would not even be here.
ReplyDeleteMadeline or Madison
ReplyDeleteNAMES
ReplyDeleteMallory
Makayla
Mary-Kate
also Jill is a certified midwife and Jana a Douala.
ReplyDeletewell said!
ReplyDeleteI think Michelle is great for a baby girl ,but I also loved Malory, Melody and Madison
ReplyDeleteJust because she can have kids does not mean she wont adopt or if she dose not adopt she will regret it. Adoption is a big step. Just like having a child. There is much planning involved. They consider it because they have seen many orphaned kids and know how hard that must be and would love to make a difference for a child, like that, one day.
ReplyDeleteMadison could be a name or Megan or Makayla
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Josh and Anna and family love the show it is a blessing to see a wonderful Christian family on tv.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You can tell Mackenzie is very excited to have a little sister. A few M names are Molly and Madelyn. God has done so many remarkable things in both of your lives. I'm very happy for both of you and will continue praying that everything goes well.
ReplyDeleteI think pulling 19 kids and counting off the air is wrong. I'm no longer going to watch any TLC show's until they are put back on the air.
ReplyDeleteIt is so sad, to think the christian are never to make any mistakes in our life. Who knows, maybe it was done out of cuosity at that age. It seems that they always try to hang the christians. Isn't is strange that the TV world can show bodies with no clothes on, profane language, and many more thing that is too embaracing to mention is put on our tv,s. Our Polititions and well known people, commet sexual sins all the time, but they still are on the tv screens!. But that is ok! Babies are killed everyday, people condone it. We are going down the tube so fast, that it scares me. Josh has confess to his sin and ask for forgiveness and also received councling. Who are we to judge. He without sin cast the first stone. I too will not be supporting TLC till they put them back on the air. I will be remembering the family in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteWould love to have Josh, Anna and kids visit me in Springfield, Va. if I only had their address and phone number. I am on their side. I pray for them every day!
ReplyDeleteHow about Misty? I also like McKayla, Mariah, McKenna,Miranda or Molly.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteI don't think that comment was intended to be rude. If someone is infertile, they don't have control over that. Generally speaking, those who deal with infertility do grieve, but not with regret. Regret would come by making the choice to not have children, and later on in life wishing you would have. Those are two different scenarios.
One of my friends told me (who btw, adopted, due to infertility) that you don't often hear of people at 50 years old regretting the children they have, but regretting not having had children, by choice: giving birth to or adopting. That is a general statement, I know. For not everyone feels regret.
There is something to be said for being content with what you have or don't have too. Whether you made the choice and it's too late to change it, or God made it.
I would like to praise Anna for the way she is standing by Josh during all this uproar. As the years have rolled by we have watched her mature and really come into her own. It is good to see her example for others as she has not run for a divorce lawyer because the money may stop or it's unpleasant for them right now. Great job, Anna!

Josh and his family are moving this is going to be hard on Anna and the children leave these people alone now...the people that released the reports should be fired and never work for protecting anyone ever again they broke the law here the sisters forgave there brother end of it

ReplyDeleteHe stated that when they visited nursing homes that is what the people shared with him. He did not say that it was wrong or bad not to have children. He said that at the nursing homes that was peoples biggest regret.
Can he not share his thoughts or what others have shared with him?

I have worked with the elderly for 20 plus years and most missed their pets over their children. Also in my opinion children should care for the elderly at home like the old days.
