Congrats Derick and Jill! Blessings for a safe and healthy delivery.
I also heard you were thinking for some family-like names, here are a few that might be nice I thought I would share: Jay-Bob-Michelle Noah-Jim-Bob Jr. Rick-Adam Derick-Joel Daniel-Duggar-Dillard Isaiah-Duggar Derick-Abel Elijah-Rick Derick-Rick-Amos Asher-Jim Bob-Solomon
So happy for Jill, she looks radiant and happy. Watching the Bates show I was so very impressed by Kelly Bates being so compassionate and caring for Whitney, that she encouraged Whitney have an Epidural Painkiller during that labor that saved her from almost 16 hours of terrible pain. Kelly encouraged her despite her own feelings about Natural childbirth. In many episodes of the Duggars show, mew have seen how the girls really don't like being in pain, such as when they got blood drawn or had shots or teeth pulled. I hope Michelle will encourage Jill to get an epidural pain killer, as she should have encouraged Anna, who we have seen in agony for hours on end while in labor. Many hospitals have more natural birthing centers within the hospital so she could have a Doula and even a midwife on hand coaching her, but she could have access to an epidural too. I hope that Jill considers this.
As a trained midwife Jill knows all the options available for a woman in labor. I'm sure she and Derrick have discussed this and she has made the decision to have a home birth without an epidural. This is her decision, just as it was Anna's decision to do the same. We should not be second guessing her.
Derick and Jill, I hope everything goes good during your delivery. I hope it is beautiful and healthy. I also hope you receive the baby gifts back in the beginning of October. God Bless Your Family.
Get your rest now because there won't be much sleep for a while. At least you have many many siblings nearby that can help so you can get a much needed nap!
I doubt there is anything anyone could say to you about motherhood, as you helped raise your siblings. Some of the best advice I ever got was to always have snacks on hand. Even the most restless, unhappy, bored child will light up when you hand them a snack. This can be a lifesaver when you end up at an appointment that lasts too long, or long car ride.
She is glowing because she already IS a mama!!!! Yes, and she is ready to hold her baby in her arms :D
God bless you sweet beautiful Jill! May Jesus and His angels watch over and protect you in these last weeks before delivery and for the safety of you and your baby :)
Will you have a homebirth or in the hospital? I love this show and hope you guys keep posting the episodes for I don't have TLC TV. You look so cute, and praying for no difficulties in the delivery!
Babies don't follow a birth plan. Listen to your body and if you get the epidural it will allow you to enjoy your labor and ease unnecessary pain. God Bless your growing family!!
She definitely looks very happy and full of a baby ready to look into Mommy's eyes. She has a huge baby bump, especially for a first baby. I would say over 9# for baby boy. Excited for her.
Remember to cherish your little one because the time flies. I had a stillborn in September and it was the hardest thing to go through. So I know how your family felt about sweet little Jubilee. Love watching your show and yall are in my prayers for a safe delivery.
My mother is couple weeks before her, but not early as big! Jill's baby "bump" is more like a mountain on her waistline! Can't wait to see who the baby will look like! Jill, you look so pretty and cute! I'm excited!
I just want to point out that Whitney Bates received Pitocin... Which is a hormone that tends to make contractions more painful, and also you are restricted to a bed and can't move. In that case, an epidural is a great option. But if you are not induced, why plan on an epidural? Seeing that Jill is a student midwife, I am more than confident she has her own labor and delivery ideas and is perfectly confident in them. I just want to point out that being on Pitocin is really hard, and an epidural can be a lifesaver, but for those starting to labor on their own, why not try for a natural delivery? In post birth interviews of Anna Duggar, she didn't ever mention any desire to change the way she labored. It's just about circumstance and your personal priorities.
Hope all goes well for your delivery. Here is a possible name for baby Dillard, Rick Jim Bob Dillard. Jill you look very happy and ready to have this baby and be a mom. Derick have you thought about naming him after your Dad?
Just like Kelly, im all for natural birth. I will be going thru it for the 9th time later this year. But i think an epidural should be a last resort unless absolutely necessary.
Derick and Jill I can't wait to see the new baby your both going to make fantastic Beautiful parents, I hope we don't have to wait till next season to see the baby being born, I'm so happy Jana will be there to help deliver the baby God Bless you both and I'm so happy and excited for you both.
She looks huge... How she will survive the next 5 weeks? The bump only will get bigger... Also she is of course healthy but with such a huge baby, should not they just ho to a hospital? What if she won't be able to give birth naturally?
We would love to send a gift to Jill and Derick....one of our Pacdoodle pacifiers personalized with Baby Dilly. It will be so CUTE!! Please let us know how to send.
