I wonder how many positive comments this video is going to get? I just don't know what to say about this... This is an example of exactly the kind of driving behaviour that my parents did not want my brothers (and me if they thought I was capable of it) to show when they (we) were teens. I did get to drive a standard car around a large parking lot / drive way area and (we) did burn the clutch out of it, but (we) weren't this wild. It looks like the white truck in the video is turning so fast it is almost ready to roll. There is probably some positive way to look at this, but I don't know how it would be said. It looks like all of the vehicles driven in the video will be worse for the abusive wear and tear and like the drivers are getting too close to losing control of their vehicles - potentially having an accident. Even if they think they can handle this and get some practical benefit from it aside from bizarre entertainment, isn't this really teaching wildness and recklessness to other young people? The Duggars will never know what the consequences might be for some people who follow their example. Confusing!
I wouldn't want my own kids to do this, but more power to them. If they had fun and think this is behavior for other teenagers/adults to emulate, again, more power to them. Doesn't this make a mockery of dangerous driving and police though? Like it is okay to give chase to that siren?
Keep in mind Duggar boys, your young fans look to you for encouragement and good choices. This type of driving and mock police chase could've ended with a vehicle flipping over. Also, none of you are trained stunt drivers and who allowed you to "borrow" a police car with radio? Just not smart. JB, Michelle- where were you???
That was a hoot to watch! Looked like a lot of fun too. Our adult sons (5) would be right out there with you guys if they could. Sending many blessings to your family.
I know boys will be boys and will do silly things, especially given the chance to go fast. But I would think that sensibility would kick in somewhere to say, "Gee it is icy and slippery, and perhaps this isn't as safe as we think it is.." Being around farm machinery, cars, and guns most of my life, I have seen the negative effects of this kind of mucking around- Be safe boys! xx
I think it looks like a BLAST and I'm a 47 year old mother of a son. :) Boys will be boys and they love their vehicles and the snow! Let them have their fun! God wants us to have fun as well in life and not be worry warts all the time!
I live in southern California, and I'm craving some snow play. This looked like so much fun, but they were getting a little close towards the end. Which make me hope no one collided into anyone else's vehicle.
Soooo much fun until they lose control and some one gets hurt. Looks like they do not have a no 'horse play' rule. Maybe after this is published their insurance premiums will be upped.
In our state, pretending to be a cop is a crime. We are not allowed to put lights or sirens on our cars. That is a nice truck and jeep to abuse that way and I don't know how they are able to get insurance when you act like that.
2 Timothy 3:5 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. 6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses,… IN this strange and powerful scripture are used some words and the word recklessness is in there too...maybe this whole does not apply, and maybe there is some value to driving skill, but still the Bible is the word of God and has to be rightly divided.
