Couples Trivia with the Seewalds

Jessa and Ben Seewald shared their marriage dos and don'ts in a recent interview with PEOPLE. The newlyweds make a point of talking through their disagreements in calm voices, maintaining a strict budget, and going out for ice cream or a meal at least once a week. Watch the following video to see how well Jessa and Ben know each other after being married almost four months.

    Random question. How old do you have to be to drink coffee in the duggar household? I know it stunts your growth but jinger has been drinking it for forever so I didn't know! Do you know how jinger drinks hers?

    I saw the People Mag yesterday in the store and thumbed through it. After only a few seconds
    I realized how inappropriate most of the images are for a Christian and quickly put it back. How
    does being in this magazine become a ministry to others? I don't even think most people
    know who Jessa and Ben are.

      As someone who grew up "Christian" but not raised in a godly, Bible reading home; it wouls have been nice to open a secular magazine and see a young godly couple sharing their faith and values with me via the only way I would have found out they existed during my lost years. Hope that made sense :)
      I love that the Duggars are getting as much buzz in mags and online as the Kardashians! My daughters have some more role models to choose from, and my sons as well, which can only be a blessing for a Christian single mom. Especially when it comes to having pure relationships and godly married couples in our home on a weekly basis.

    I bet if the Duggars got a heads up on what some of the headlines on the front page about their daughter being the sexiest Duggar of all, they would have thought twice about letting it go to print...I'm sure they didn't see it ahead of time and approving it.

    No way is it a "ministry" to associate oneself to People magazine. As a Christian I don't even want to be seen looking at it because of the filth inside. It is one of the trashiest magazines I have ever seen.

      Ministry is not reaching out to just Christians; it's reaching out to all those who second guess faith or those who don't believe at all, those who are lost or simply don't know the word of God. Yes, as a Christian I don't read people magazine, but maybe my next door neighbor who's values are opposite to mine does, and maybe just maybe because of the Duggars he'll start to think deeper about his life and the real purpose of it.... just an example

    Is nothing private or treasured any more? Putting this kiss on the magazine for the world to see. Help!!! I truly don't understand why people need to put their entire lives out there for everyone to see. Nothing seems to be private any more. By doing this, they are opening themselves up to scrutiny, ridicule, etc.

    You know, I initially was pretty shocked that the Duggars contracted with People Magazine, as that is not the type of literature approved in their home,or is even remotely "Christian". However,if you think about it, when the goal of ministry is reach and teach as many as possible about the word of God,would you keep the ministries in the church? or would you go beyond the church doors out towards the people who are "Lost". Jesus did not always associate himself with "good" people. he would go out to where the "lost" people were. So even though the Duggars are all over People magazine, they are expanding their platform upon which to stand and preach the gospel. Smart move in my opinion, as they are able to reach more individuals than just "Christians".

    Thanks for the positive comments about reaching out to non Christians thru secular magazines. That's how Jesus rolled, and the status quo hated him for it!.

    The Duggars' only public email address is duggarmail@gmail.com, although they receive a large number of emails each day and are unable to respond to each one.
