Gil and Kelly Bates joined Terry Meeuwsen on The 700 Club this week to discuss their growing family and upcoming reality TV series. Gil and Kelly, parents of 19 children, have one grandchild with another on the way. Their reality series, "Bringing Up Bates," premiers January 1st on UP TV.

hope this show does not change them. duggars say they have not changed but I see a big change in them. look beyond the words. just a thought.

When I first heard that the Bates were doing their own show it made me kind of sad because I like the Bates so much and I hate to think of how it will change them, maybe not at first but over time they will. I have become very disappointed in the Duggars because of how much being celebrity's has changed them and especially their children and not in a good way. I cannot imagine raising my own children in the spot light for the whole world to see and critize and for them to have absolutely no privacy at all! They will never have a quote normal life. ( or as normal as having 19 siblings can be! Lol!)

ReplyDeletePurchase the series on Amazon Prime. I don't have cable TV and that is how I watch the Duggars. I will also purchase the Bates when it becomes available. I think you can pre-purchase.

ReplyDeleteChange is not bad, change is a part of life and happens regardless of whether you encourage it or not. I believe the Bates and the Duggar families are doing MUCH better with their fame than the Kardasians and so many others out there. Nobody is perfect. Nobody is pushing their beliefs on anybody they're just sharing their lives and beliefs. You have a remote control if you're not happy with what you're watching.
I love the Bates, just as I do the Duggars. They love God and there family, and they are an inspiration to me.

Is UP tv available online?? We only have access to Netflix, and they even quit carrying TLC shows! My granddaughter and I fell in love with the Duggers and Bates watching 19 kids and counting. Miss the show terribly!!!!

ReplyDeleteI agree with whoever said that the Duggars have changed. Yes they have. And we must remember that every single one of us would change too. We would change not only because we've grown older but yes FAME would change us. Who can stay the same when everybody knows who you are? When your family is a constant topic of conversation? It's the good and the bad and we would all change in the presence of fame. I think they are doing a good job handling their fame all things considered. They are still raising a huge family in the spotlight and doing a darn good job of it.

ReplyDeleteI posted this before, this the last time, all you need to do to watch this show, if you don't the station, is to put in Google's search, UP TV, don't just say up, you will get the UP's delivery service, then go on their site, and when their show is on you will be able to watch it. It might be a week behind, but you will be able to see it though, because that is how I'm going to be watching it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
