The Seewald family threw a last-minute shower for Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald in time for their November 1st wedding. Here are a few pictures from the event:

ReplyDeleteI wish I had her hair:) But Ben seems so very young - I mean, he's younger than me and I can't imagine marrying IN YEARS. Yet, I do wish them joy - and happiness.
They're such a lovely couple! So blessed to have found each other. That shower looked very fun and intimate, very different from Jill's! It's awesome how all the girls are different!

Isn't it usually the brides family or her friends and bridesmaids that usually throw the shower? Why did his family have to do it last minute.I just hope they get equal attention that Jill did.It seems like Ben gets a little less respect from the Duggar brothers and JB.I wonder why?

ReplyDeleteTwo things, why on the invitation are Jessa's parents listed as "Mr. & Mrs." while Ben's are listed using their first and last name and why do these families use so much plasticware/styrofoam when serving a meal???
ReplyDeleteI would say the invitations are worded that way because the bride's parents are the ones paying for most, if not all, of it. So in essence it's "their" place to invite people to the wedding they are paying for. As for the plastic and styrofoam, it's cheap, convenient & easy to clean up!

ReplyDeleteThat food table looked classy with all the different kinds of soups. The cupcakes on the dessert table were also nicely displayed. Too bad they couldn't have something like this for their wedding reception. Beautiful presentation and delicious looking food!

ReplyDeleteAre you sure these two aren't already married? Maybe they eloped. The banner reads Mr. and Mrs. and no one seems to be busy planning or thinking about this wedding. Strange. I remember the original date was Oct. 1st so maybe they already got married on that date but because Jill's hadn't aired yet on TLC they didn't want to confuse fans. I just don't understand why no one in Jessa's family is discussing her wedding if it is tomorrow. Aren't they as excited for her as they were Jill's? Lily and Ellie, I guess you would know when the wedding is. Are you invited? Are you going to post pics?

ReplyDeleteJosh and Anna married when they both were 20, but Josh had that used car dealership already. Ben seems to not have any job. I'm almost concerned for Jessa that if she gets pregnant right away, the young family won't have means to live.
I am so happy for Jessa and Ben. I've followed this family for years and am so inspired by their faithful devotion to Jesus and to their family. God Bless them for being such good stewards of the gift of marriage and children. Many of us may never enjoy have the experience of having wholesome, God-honoring children .... but we can still be happy for those who do. (Mary)

ReplyDeleteMaybe it is better for them to marry now and not push things any further (wink) some of the other things can work themselves out, but they have always seemed really really taken with each other and perhaps it is better to be together in God's eyes and let Him supply the rest.

I don't mean being pregnant either. its as if they are being pushed into it. anyway I wish you both the best.

ReplyDelete@Melody Crawford @43----Ben quit whatever job he had when he moved into his warehouse apartment on the Duggar land. Jim Bob is apparently going to pay him to help around the property. Not sure how that fits into to JimBob and Michelle's standards that the husband must be able to provide for his wife and many blessings to come????

I'm confused. Was this a shower or a party given by the Seewald? A party is cool but if the family gave a shower for one of their own that is not proper etiquette.
