ReplyDeleteLoved watching Jill & Derrick's wedding episode last night! Two comments: I did not see Josiah at all and he was never interviewed at all in this episode. Why was that? I see in one of the pictures above that Josiah was there. Also, I realize that Derrick's father is deceased and his mother Kathy, God Bless her and her fight with cancer, was and should have been a very important party of the wedding, but I felt that Derricks Step-father should have been shown more respect and not just be portrayed as Miss Kathy's caretaker. Maybe he was, but the film editor didn't get that in the final cut.

ReplyDeleteLove the pictures and Congrats to Jill and Derick. One question - it looks like Michelle's dress is the same one worn by Kelly Bates at her daughter Alyssa's wedding. Is this so? Great way to save money and wonderful to have friends share like that.

DeleteI was wondering why they didn't have the people from Fresh hair or some pros do the girls or at least Jill's hair and makeup? While Jill is so pretty, this was not the best look for her hair that we have seen. Just appears not much effort was put into hair and makeup. Is that Erin Bates Paine doing looks like Jinger's makeup? She should have done Jill's. Also did she paly the piano during the wedding?

ReplyDeleteI anxiously awaited the wedding all season! I thoroughly enjoyed watching. I do have a question, Jill. I understand you breaking the tradition not to see Derik on the wedding day. I often hear men say the moment they see their bride walking down the aisle in the dress for the first time, is breathtaking and memorable. After you put your dress on, why didn't you wait until you went down the aisle to allow Derik to see you in your gown. As with the first kiss, the first view of the bride in her dress is an experience never to be forgotten. I do wish you both well in your marriage and with the upcoming birth of your precious son.

DeleteJill looked so beautiful. They both looked happy are in love. The wedding was beautiful also. Love the colors they chose. The girls dresses were very pretty. I liked the fact they were simple. Simple but elegant. The little ones white dresses with flowers in their hair was adorable and the signs were cute. Lovely wedding. Congrats to them. Now they are going to Mommie and Daddy. Yea for them

Not that it matters, just seems appropriate two close friends would choose the same dress :) Everyone looked beautiful !
ReplyDeleteI was wondering the same thing so i went to the Bates site and looked up the pics of Alyssas wedding photos and it looks like its the exact same dress but altered and a different undershirt. I dont see anything wrong with copying or borrowing the same dress.Michelle probably really liked it.It lookwd beautiful on both of them

ReplyDeleteI loved that Jessa fixed Jills hair, how sweet, she is so talented with doing hair and make-up.I said it once before, that Jessa needs to become a licenced cosmotolgist and do hair and make-up in a little shop from her home, she has lots of friends and family that would keep her busy as well as an extra income.She could take online classes.Just a thought.:-)

The Bates were at the wedding, and so was Anna's sister Priscilla. We did not see the rest of Anna's family at the ceremony, reception, or at the Duggars' house that evening.
