Jill Dillard is one week into her second trimester of pregnancy! The expectant mama told TLC that she has been craving green beans with salt and vinegar.
I love the duggars and have been following them for years. I am so exited for Jill and Derick and can't wait to see whether the baby is a girl or a boy.
I am very happy for your new path and journey of life that you and Derick have embarked upon. May God bless you both with joy and happiness with the years to come. Enjoy the moments each day that you have been blessed to have with your new family beginnings.
Interesting. Just a tip to get the higher quality natural vinegars, not the least expensive, because some are actually made from a petroleum product and the best vinegars are naturally distilled from grains.
This blog inspired me to read up on green beans and the information says that they are very nutritious with a low glycemic index rating. Green beans are so easy to grow. I wonder if those beans came from the Duggar's garden?
So Sweet......when I was expecting my daughter I craved grapefruit juice and salt (I know that sounds gross but it was so good) I also craved peanut butter whether that was creamy or crunchy I didn't care I just ate straight out of the jar! LOL Blessings to you and your sweet family.
Hang in there Jill! You and Derick will be great parents like your parents. Also, I know I called my mom with so many questions with all of my pregnancies, do you have a lot of questions even though you know a lot more than first time mom's?
Just hope in moderation....its like eating to many pickles, can stress & hurt both mom and baby. With all the education Jill has being a midwife in training I am certain she must realize this.
This is my fave pic sometimes far of their pregnancy! =) That sounds yummy.....green beans with vinegar and salt...and healthy too, if you don't use too much salt. :-)
I really love you guys-Your entire family are such great people. Stay healthy Jill, I know you and Derick will have a beautiful baby and you must be SO excited! I have been thinking about names. Do you know your baby's gender and if so, are you letting people know? Also, are you thinking of keeping to a certain first letter for the first name and then continuing with it in the future like your Mom & Dad and Josh & Anna did? (It will help me with my list ;-) Best wishes always, Lauren
That sounds like a nice craving, though there's been stranger ones from what I hear from my friend's and distant family members. What food does Jill least like right now? Oh, before I forget, does she also got that Duggar pregnantcy craving for pickles too.
She seems so sweet! Of the Duggar girls, she is one of the firsts that I would want to meet. :) I'm so happy for her, and that the baby has stayed healthy all the way till now!
Why are the green peas so short? :) really strange food to crave - I guess I would be craving chocolate if I were pregnant, unfortunately. Just my luck:) but it is good for Jill - she'll keep fit. Congrats and she looks great:)
We always watch Jim Bob's challenges to the guys to see if they "have what it takes" to marry into his family. I, for one, would like to see a mother-in-law challenge for Jill and Jessa to see how they would measure up to enter their husbands' families. How would they fair in the Suzy Homemaker Challenge? I think that's fair.
Pickled green beans perhaps..lol? This definitely sounds like a Duggar food. They love pickles and green beans so Jill is craving the best of both worlds.
Having craving does not mean jil is having a boy. Jill you need to be careful with the vinegar and salt,, will cause the lose of certain nutrition the baby needs. Green beans are great to eat.
I just love Jill and Jessa, so happy for them both!!! I remember watching the very first episode of the diggers and can't believe now their getting married and having babies of their own!!!
I never had any cravings during pregnancy. I don't mean to offend any of you ladies who have experienced the real deal, but sometimes I wonder if cravings are just an excuse to pig out on whatever you feel like eating. I mean, the Duggars are mad about pickles already, and that is pretty close to beans with vinegar. Is this really a craving, or just Jill eating what she likes to eat??
Jill if you have a girl, name her Katherine or Kathleen, since you met in Kathmandu. If you have a boy name him Rick after Derick's dad. Have a wonderful pregnancy.

With those cravings, I think you are having a boy! :)

ReplyDelete-Brittany :)
So excited for Jill !!! So wondering ... Boy or Girl ?
ReplyDelete-Brittany :)
She seems so sweet! Of the Duggar girls, she is one of the firsts that I would want to meet. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for her, and that the baby has stayed healthy all the way till now!
That actually sounds really good...kinda like fries with salt and vinegar....malt or white vinegar??
ReplyDeleteI'd say girl!!
ReplyDeleteShe is already bigger than last week!!! Wow, has she had her first ultrasound yet??? Maybe it's twins!!! :)
ReplyDeleteJill keeps on glowing. It won't be long and she will be showing a bigger bump. Keep eating healthy foods.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she might start her own show amnd or have as much as her mom did
ReplyDeleteHer giving birth to babies in earlier episodes paid off so she now knows what its gojnna look like and what there gonna do
ReplyDeleteI believe she has stated that she was a virgin until marriage so how would she have given birth before???
DeleteI can see maybe posting a once a month picture, but once a week? A bit much if you ask me. That should be for their own personal scrapbook.
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable. And eating healthy.
ReplyDeleteWhy are the green peas so short? :) really strange food to crave - I guess I would be craving chocolate if I were pregnant, unfortunately. Just my luck:) but it is good for Jill - she'll keep fit. Congrats and she looks great:)
ReplyDeleteIs it only me, or is she showing quite a lot? I'd say - twins. She's lovely, anyway - in my opinon, Jill looks better than ever before:)

ReplyDeletePickled foods and vinegar as ingredient are abundant on Asian tables. If she is craving it her body needs it for baby.
ReplyDeleteWhy must there be some bizarre challenge in the first place?
I crave those and im not preagnant lol . congratulations. Love watching ur wjole family.l pray you have a successful marriage.
ReplyDeleteWatch the amount of salt intake. It might affect your blood pressure.
ReplyDeletePickled spicy green beans are awesome, you can find them next to the stuffed olives in the grocery isle.:-)
ReplyDeleteHey does anybody know Jill's password to her wedding photo are how I can get it I would love to look at them but I don't know it thanks so much
ReplyDeleteHaving craving does not mean jil is having a boy. Jill you need to be careful with the vinegar and salt,, will cause the lose of certain nutrition the baby needs. Green beans are great to eat.
ReplyDeleteI feel so sorry for Jill. She lost her freedom too fast. And I feel sorry for her certificate in midwifery....
ReplyDeleteI just love Jill and Jessa, so happy for them both!!! I remember watching the very first episode of the diggers and can't believe now their getting married and having babies of their own!!!
ReplyDeleteShe looks soooooo happy! God bless this family! I hope its a girl!

ReplyDeleteThey were referring to midwife services, not actually giving birth. They just chose the wrong words.
ReplyDeleteJill if you have a girl, name her Katherine or Kathleen, since you met in Kathmandu. If you have a boy name him Rick after Derick's dad. Have a wonderful pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteJill look's great! So excited for them! They'll make great parents!
