It was such a touching moment even I cried. I just can't wait until they start showing Jessa and ben's engagement saga and then their Wedding Nov. 1st. They are my favorite couple.
It's such a blessing to be in the 'middle' of these wonderful plans and already seeing how GOD has blessed this union with a baby!! I love the back and forth even more because of what is happening right here and now. May the LORD be your continual focus that you may find true joy in married life...Jill and Derick.
Loved that Jill included Anna in her bridal party and asked Jana to be her maid of honor. I felt for Joy; she is truly sad over Jill moving from home. I was happy to see Jill give her a real hug when she was tearing up. On another note, why didn't Josh keep the kids with him so Anna could focus on such a special day?
Jill's dress turned out beautiful, eventhough it was tailored a bit to meet her modesty standards. But I would still like to see the original dress and then see the finished dress. It was hard to tell with the added 'cloths' tucked into the bodice.
to the person wondering why Josh did not take care of the kids, given that he is a hands on dad I think it is likely that he was at work. I was a stay at home mother and my children were with me most of the time I don't think Anna or any one else minded having them there. Enjoyed the special letters the girls shared with Jill. It was actually fun watching Jill try on dresses and watching everyone's reactions. Thought the luncheon Anna prepared was lovely. Truly enjoyable episode. The camping trip was terrific. Sometimes the Dugger men go a little overboard being so public about their belief that the young men who come courting have something to prove to the Duggar men. I am glad that sweet Anna was not publically scrutinized like this. Derick and Ben seem like very fine young men and should be considered as family at this point and if Papa did not think they were good enough for his daughters then quietly dismiss them rather than trying to make a public spectacle of creating tests of manhood. I wish Jon had just said that he did not want to jump and leave it at that, he got a little defensive. Too bad. He is a very nice young man. When you watch him in his natural element he seems like a very likeable person. I do not think those mini interviews always present some family members in the best way. What a thing to have the cameras rolling as you are growing. must be a challenge at times. As for Bem he is so much like Jim Bob it is funny! But I thought it was awesome that he went for it, met the challenge head on as they climbed and jumped right off the platform. Well done. At first I was surprised that he was so unsure of himself, but he rose to the occasion. But the way he was talking about Jessa and worrying, sooo like Mr. JB fretting about what he was doing etc. Derick, of course took it all in stride, secure in himself and confident in his abilities, just as respectful of the abilities of his companions as he was of their fears. He did not tease or degrade or belittle. Bravo!
If cousin Amy were asked to be a bridesmaid then other cousins would wonder why they were not asked to be in the wedding party as well. That seems like a good reason for limiting the wedding party to sisters.
But isn't Amy their only first cousin( on Jim Bob's side)? I don't think they have much to do with Michelle's side and being Amy is involved with the show and all I can understand why one would wonder why she isn't a bridesmaid. She's probably like a sister to Jill anyway, being she is always over.Maybe Jessa will include her.
Derick knows the meaning of discretion. I like how he doesn't show it if he really doesn't like something he just goes along with it to not hurt anyone's feelings during the process. I don't think they really had to jump off that platform to prove they could man up to the Duggar men but being the considerate of others Derick did it anyway. This is just so touching of the Duggar girls and Anna and mom reading their thoughts to Jill as she was trying on wedding dresses. Just so sweet!!

ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know why cousin Amy is never asked to be a bridesmaid? They are supposed to be so close to her.
