Our readers have been begging for a picture of Jessa Duggar's engagement ring since Ben Seewald proposed to Jessa last Thursday, and we have one to share. The photo doesn't show the diamond, but it's better than nothing, right? The Duggars are under contract and are limited to what they can release to the public, but they have assured us that more engagement information and photos are on the way soon.

I was thinking we wouldn't see Jessa's engagement until the season after this but the last season started April 1st and Jill and Derick got engaged in late March so maybe we'll see another engagement ender.

Can't wait to see Jim Bob and Michelle ' s reaction to all the changes coming up in their family. The Duggars are a beautiful family.

ReplyDeletecan't wait to see her ring and pics of the proposal...sure it will probably be in this weeks People Magazine..sine yall said they are under contract, and they seem to have a good relationship with People Magazine. that magazine usually gets all the Duggar exclusives. I'm sure Jessa and Ben want to share a thousand photos of themselves together and the ring and holding hands since he proposed. so excited to follow their journey to the altar :)

ReplyDeleteThis is the first time im a lil upset...jessa ring is beautiful im sure but come on a contract?? Its her ring her fiance and her family. .im starting to think all this attention is going to theyre head while they seem like great people.they shouldnt let anyone dictate when and if they can show her ring they wedding so forth.they should show the ring if they want to contract or not ..if they werent in the spotlight im sure she would show it like I would show mine.i think the attention is starting to go to their heads.they werent this private when it was 14 children and pregnant again now they gotta get permission to do things.?? Stay humble duggars!

ReplyDeleteI am really done playing games with this family. I have been a faithful follower since the beginning but now fame is going to their heads. We could not see any decent pictures of Jill and Derricks wedding and now we can not be included on Jessa's engagement. They are becoming like John and Kate Gosslin and letting the fame go to their head.

I personally think it's a little ridiculous. If you can't show the ring because of a contract fine, but what's the point of showing the back of a ring. Seriously, it's just a piece of jewelry. I think we place too much importance on material objects.
ReplyDeleteAs long as it is Jessa's choice not to show the ring, it is fine. I know I wanted to show my friends and co-workers right away. Having to wait so a magazine or TLC gets to show it first is kind of odd for me but again if it is Jessa's choice that fine. I would be sad to learn it was her father or TLC choice and she really wanted to show it off now. Seems like Jill, The Bates' girls all showed their rings right away.

This is so exciting! So much to look forward to next month - the details of Jill's wedding, Jessa's engagement and then her wedding! It's tortuous waiting! And, judging by her face lately, I suspect we may be watching a baby shower for Jill next season! I'm so excited!!

ReplyDeleteThe whole "contract" stuff with People for Jill and now Jessa is such a turn off. I find it sad and just another way that I am seeing a huge secular influence in the Duggar show.

ReplyDeleteTo the Whole Family, It is wonderful to see the older girls engagements and weddings, yet it would be wonderful to see more of the younger Duggars inspiring adventures also... athletics, arts, playful get-to-gathers with other children, etc... I would also like to hear a little more on your Biblical Religion and background you and your family study and live by Honoring Our Lord God. Sincerely Alicia

ReplyDeleteI agree. On one hand I kind of see the need for more staging to keep the show going. It's more complex then it was before. But it has become less genuine and it seems like their life revolves around the show instead of vise versa. It seems like right before each new season the last few times there is an engagement or pregnancy announcement strategically placed as a hook for the new season. I don't buy that Ben spent seven months planning an engagement that just happened right before the new season. Jim bob calls the shots for him and tlc calls the shots for jimbob. Anna waiting until she's seven months pregnant to go on the today show right before the season premiere? I am not trying to be critical. It is what it is and it may not be possible for it to be another way to produce the show. This is a show and it's a business. People say the Duggars aren't in it for the money. Even if that's true, TLC and people magazine are and the Duggars go along with the contracts ect... And it's their right to make those decisions. I have really enjoyed the show and the family. I hope this doesn't have negative ramifications for the children down the road.
