Newlyweds Jill and Derick Dillard have some exciting news to share. After 30 days of marriage, they found out that Jill is pregnant and expecting grand-Duggar #4 in March 2015. DeleteI think they are just too excited to sit on the news. Of course there's a possibility of the worst happening but I think that's being negative to worry. This couple is positive and focusing on the best, as they should. As far as the shoes go they found an adorable pair of neutral shoes either sex could wear. ReplyDeleteNo it's never too soon to celebrate and acknowledge a new baby. The more people praying for a healthy baby and pregnancy early on the better. Also, if they were to lose the baby it's nice to have the support and prayers once again from friends and family and not to have to suffer alone. Having no one else know that you are grieving and have lost a child would make the process all the more hard

ReplyDeleteI agree with your opinion of the picture where they are full-frontal with each other with only their bodies showing - no faces. It seemed very sensual to me. I know they are married, but that pose IS suggestive. I love them, though, and pray they will have a happy and healthy pregnancy and they fully use the 9 months to build on their relationship! ReplyDeleteThey're NOT little girl shoes, but neutral baby shoes! And no it's not too early, they're capturing the early celebratory joy and will later no doubt capture the bump in another session probably around 30wks; which is a good time where the baby bump is a good size, but not heavily big...

If you're a fan, you know the Duggar's embrace life from the first moment and, sadly, they're no strangers to loss. They are following their hearts and it's a beautiful thing. As for the girl shoes, maybe they just grabbed the closest pair. After all, there are plenty laying around their house. Or maybe they're hoping for a girl?! Who knows? Let the newlyweds be thrilled. ReplyDeleteThat is very exciting news for them! However, I do think it is very soon to have kids. It is important to spend time as husband and wife first before bringing kids into the picture. I also think they should have waited a bit longer to tell everyone the news. Jessa just got engaged and then they release this just days after and all of the attention is back on them. I think they should have let the focus stay on her sister for awhile. After all they had months of it before and during their wedding process. That would also allow for time for them to get past their first trimester when most miscarriages occur too.

ReplyDeleteIf she got pregnant right after marriage, she'd be 12 to 13 weeks pregnant, which is generally when people start announce. Right when you get a positive pregnancy test you're considered about four weeks pregnant even though conception didn't occur four weeks before.

ReplyDeleteI agree with the first comment--I am happy when i hear of new life, but the first trimester is so scary and sometimes miscarriages happen more often then. I think it would have been wise to wait until at least the first trimester to share the good news with the world! Better this way, then have to break bad news and suffer loss in front of the world on TV. I love the Duggars and what they stand for, but I think this announcement was rushed because everyone was expecting it and it brings more ratings on their show.
Congratulatios. Far too early. To share the news with the world in my view, but the dollars from People Magazine seem to be drive-ing. the decisions of this family. Ithey do not have a television but they star in a reality TV show, they do not read Peopel but have an exclusieve contract with them.

ReplyDeleteWhen you trust God with your family size and acknowledge that EVERYTHING is His, Then you know that if He chooses to take this little one then its meant for His glory and our growth that will draw us closer to Him if we lean on Him for strength. And that ALL babies are safely in His care. There is nothing wrong with anouncing it this early, because it is making memories of a joyful time. And by anouncing it they can have more support from friends and family. Any life,no matter how short needs to be celebrated. At least they know they can have a baby! Some women would give anything to be pregnant.

ReplyDeleteAw..if it has a heartbeat then YES it is a life!! Even if it is just a few weeks, it still has blood pumping through it. Non living things don't have heartbeats!!!
DeleteIt's not too early. She is roughly 8-9 weeks pregnant. Technically the entire first trimester is "the danger zone" but once you hear or see a heartbeat your chance for miscarriage goes down drastically. I know many women (myself included) who share the news this early.

ReplyDeleteShe is definitely in the first trimester. She hasn't been married long enough to be in the second. She married exactly two months ago. If she got pregnant on her wedding night she would be 10 weeks along.
Life begins at conception. The smallest unit of life is an organism. Her child is more than an organism.
Michelle has 21 babies. 19 living.

ReplyDeleteWe should be diligent to keep in mind that this child is and will be a DILLARD, not a Duggar. I think it is an insult to Derick and his family to refer to this child as a "Dugggar". Also, it would be respectful from now on to refer to Jill as Jill Dillard. She is married.

It may not be a viable life, but it is a life, none the less. Perhaps you should question your teachers and their motives in teaching you such things. Aren't those souls,(babies) in heaven and exist with God according to their strong beliefs? Why don't they say they have 21 children, 2 in heaven? They only count the 19 that are here....illogical to me.

If she were 8 to 10 weeks it would have a heartbeat, blood pumping through it. There aren't any non living things or objects that has a heartbeat!! A heartbeat means Living!!
ReplyDeleteThe show premiere is on Sept. 2nd, this baby news definitely will attract more viewers. Otherwise, there is no reason to announce it so early. Their friend Erin Bates just had a miscarriage at around 9 weeks.
ReplyDeleteI get confused at times by the Duggars. They are very modest and I agree with that but a picture where they are facing each other so closely is very suggestive and immodest. All the kissing the married couples do in public doesn't seem modest. Having the cameras there when babies are born for the whole world to see doesn't seem modest either. Seems to send mixed messages on modesty.

ReplyDelete@Jessica @ My Coffee is Cold I am pregnant and I conceived on June 18th, which is before Jill and Derrick got married, and I won't be 12 weeks until Wednesday. So she can't be more than 10 or 11 weeks now and was probably more like 8 or 9 weeks when they announced it to the world.
ReplyDeleteI feel Jill and Derrick should have waited for a couple of weeks to make sure everything was moving along and less of a danger of a miscarriage. Also they should have allowed Ben and Jessa. A little time in the limelight. They always try to out do Jessa and shame on them for that. congratulations to jessa and Ben on your engagement it was kind of both of you to wait until after the wedding to allow Jill and Derrick their time in the limelight.before you announced your engagement.
