After Jill and Derick Dillard's wedding, the Duggars invited a few hundred of their closest friends over for a cookout. At the party, Wendy Rivers, co-owner of Ava Laurenne Bride, filmed one of the guest's reactions to Jill's Ava Laurenne wedding dress. The YouTube video is embedded below.
the background noise was over powering I could barely hear them talk and I'm not even sure who the person being interviewed was.
ReplyDeleteOh my a few hundred of their closest friends! I don't even think I know a few hundred peoples names and phone numbers to invite them to a party! It sounds like fun to be invited to a duggar party!:)
ReplyDeleteThe audio wasn't working. Hopefully it will get fixed. Thanks anyway.
ReplyDeleteI came across a random fan blog for the Duggars and it said that TLC has already tapped a new opening to include Derick is that true?
ReplyDeleteIs it just me that has messed up sound on this?
ReplyDeleteThe noise level at that house was over the top. It was hard to understand the dialogue. How can a family invite a "few hundred" to their home for a cookout? Did Jana do the cooking again? It should have been a catered barbecue with less people. Nothing this family does is personal, one on one. Everything is a crowd and a noisy one at that.
ReplyDeleteAWW I absolutely adored her dress. I do however don't understand why people are so obsessed with the girls making their clothes Modest. Its the way we live our life. Its what makes us feel comfortable. If I could go back 8 years and change my wedding dress I would. I made the same personal conviction as these girls and I look back at all the clothes that I could have modified. So lets get over it ladies, I am sure ALL of their wedding dresses will be altered.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this video!! So happy you all can share!
Yes. Right there with you. I think modesty makes the immodest feel guilty.
DeleteI loves the dress, it was beautiful, sparkly, and modest!!! I can't wait to see the wedding!!!
ReplyDeleteJill's dress was gorgeous and she looked breathtaking in it!
ReplyDeleteLOVE Jill's dress. What a great Godly couple!
ReplyDeleteI know this isn't on the dress subject, but I wanted to say, Ellie, you are really, really pretty!! As in way better than a model pretty! :) Thought I'd put that in:)
ReplyDeleteI MISSED THE SHOW VERY MUCH THIS WEEK..HURRY BACK!!
ReplyDeleteI thought that Jill's wedding dress was beautiful and appropriately modest. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVED Jill's, AKA Mrs. Dillard's, wedding dress. I'm so happy that Jill showed such a beautiful modest wedding dress to the world. I hope other brides will consider lovely modest alternatives. God bless the newlyweds!!
ReplyDeleteWe thought Jill's dress was beautiful. It was as if it was waiting just for her. It was stunning, but in a modest way.
ReplyDeleteThe dress was beautiful!!! Cannot wait for the show to come back on.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't hard heard that video... So much noise on the back.... If it was about Jill's dress, it was a superbe dress. Really love it as I love Jill's personnality.
ReplyDeleteNothing more lovely than a bride. LDS bridal shops in Utah only carry modest gowns and I would think that anyone looking for modest bridal wear, should call their local shops and ask them to carry less revealing gowns in their inventory. They are out there and it seems from this blog that Mormons are not the only ones interested in modesty. The shop owners are interested in serving their customers and making brides happy. The shop Jill went to was pretty obviously invested in making Jill happy, and clearly they succeeded. The dress, was beautiful on Jill and Jill of course was gorgeous! Enjoyed the interview you posted even with the extra noise, it was a fun!
ReplyDeleteA "FEW HUNDRED" of their closest friends????? How close can you be to ANYBODY if there are a "FEW HUNDRED" of them?????
ReplyDeleteWe are so happy for Jill and Derrick. We send them love and a big congratulations on their marriage. May God continue to bless you and give you many years of joy together.
ReplyDeleteWe also LOVED her wedding dress. I love that you continue to be modest and respect Gods wish for us to be that way.
I see a lot of comments about the number of guests at the cookout. A couple hundred is not that hard to believe if you think about it. Lets say each Duggar wanted to invite their closest friends. Well each of those friends would have a family to come with them. So then the number would quickly grown. If people are traveling for the wedding and maybe you don't get to see these close friends very often due to them living far away it would make sense that they would want to take advantage of them being in town.
