Even though Jill is married and no longer living with the Duggar family, she still spends plenty of time with her siblings. While Derick was away at work yesterday afternoon, Jessa popped by Jill and Derick's house for lunch and sister time.

ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see Jill and Derick's home inside and out on the upcoming season of 19 kac, to see how Jill decorated her home and to see how married life is for them... I also can't help but notice that Jessa is hiding her left hand in this pic I really do hope that she is engaged finally. if her and Ben feel that they are gonna end up together he should propose and not make it a long courtship they are almost to their 1 year anniversary. if anything he should've asked for her hand in marriage months ago and then if they wanted they could've made their engagement long at least then they could hold hands.

ReplyDeleteWell I have been excited in the past to watch & catch up on the latest of the Duggars but lately I feel like that fire has burned out. I'm not sure if anyone else feels this way & please excuse me for feeling so but the Duggars are not the finest example to me on keeping convictions. In fact I think their modesty standard is a bit hypocritical. In an episode a year back michelle emphasized the importance of not exposing the knee & Jimbob quoted scripture in Isaiah about anything above the knee being nakedness. Also Jana mentioned sleeveless tops as being a reason to tell Nike! (Immodest woman approaching) now I see on Instagram & some tv episodes the girls skirts above the knee & a few girls in sleeveless. Most often it is Jessa in her latest photos with Ben with the short above the knee skirts. As a teenager living for Christ this bothers me. Why would you set those standards & especially make them public if you cannot adhere to them yourself? I'm not saying how they dress is wrong but please if you intend not to keep your conviction or it is not your personal conviction then don't publicize it. You girls actually discourage some others such as myself when you do that. Therefore my mother thought it best I do not watch the Duggars as she said people who turn away from their convictions unless it is Biblically sound are not trustworthy to take advice/standards from. I am not looking for an argument but just wondering if anyone feels the same way?

ReplyDeleteJessa may not be hiding her hand. Most people put the hand with which they are not eating in their lap. Derrik and Jill's home looks amazing. I think the Duggar family has had time to work on it for a while. Best wishes to all.

I love the duggars but I feel so sad for jana and jinger I heard that jana is not allowed to date/ courtship because she has to look after the younger ones . Heres hopping jll or jessa will come to her rescue and find her someone very pretty girls

ReplyDeleteThe idea posted in a comment that Jana is not allowed to court because she has to help at the Duggar house does not seem like it would be true, maybe that is a rumour. The Duggar parents are very joyful and love life progressions, I doubt they suppress one of their children like that.

ReplyDelete@Anonymous @Anonymous 39 -- Maybe that is why they have relaxed their standards -- as your mother says, because their standards are not Biblically based. They have said all along that these are their standards, not standards from the Bible. We as Christians are not living under legalistic laws such as not showing knees. Maybe the Duggars have realized that as time has passed.
