Now that they are back from their honeymoon, Derick and Jill Dillard are settling into their new lives as husband and wife.
The newlyweds are living in Northwest Arkansas, so they are close to both the Duggars and the Dillards. Even though she is married, Jill still hasn't stopped investing in the lives of her siblings. She recently took James, who turns 13 next week, on a shopping trip to Aldi and Walmart.
Derick has a full-time job as a tax accountant, so Jill packed some food in the couple's personalized Razorback picnic basket and met him for lunch.
It's definitely an adjustment to cook for only two people when Jill is used to preparing meals for the Duggar clan. Looks like she and Derick are going to have lots of leftovers!

Oh my goodness! Is that their KITCHEN? It's BEAUTIFUL!!!!! WOW!!! They need to do a house tour video!!!! It looks so gorgeous!!! And that's only part of it! Jill and I have very similar style... that's to the T how I want my cabinets and countertops and the peach and mint in the wedding are my favorite colors!!! PLEASE UPLOAD A HOUSE TOUR VIDEO!!!

ReplyDeleteWhy would she stop investing in her siblings lives? Just because she is married doesn't mean she is no longer a Duggar. Isn't James one of her buddies? It is an adjustment for all of them. Love this family and their wholesome values and their convictions and unshakeable belief in God. What a wonderful family and godly example for us all. ReplyDeleteWow, I've been married 7 years and I'm in my early 40s and can't afford a house or a grill like that. Did Jim Bob give away some sort of dowry? And didn't Derick just return from Nepal? That house is nicer than the Duggar house!
ReplyDeleteEveryones comes from different financial situations, your age and how many years ones married doesent dictate ones wealth.Derick has a good job and Jill has her own nest egg,its not our buisness anyways.Lets just be happy for them,I hope they live in a mansion, they deserve it.All the giving they both do for their fellow man is awe inspiring and commendable.

ReplyDeleteI've read on other blogs about negative comments about their house, seriously people,why can't they have a nice house, just because JimBobs motto is all about thriftyness, doesn't mean his children have to be exactly like him.Envy and Jealously has a lot to do with the negativity, why not be happy for them .Its none of our business about their finances anyway.Funny thing is, they don't give a hoot about all this nitpick stuff said about them, they just live there life with love, honor and respect . They were very adamant that no, they didn't get any royalties from the sale of those rescourses. And originally I don't think they were paid for any of the first one hour specials. I think they may get some payment from tlc now. But that would all be covered by a confidentiality agreement. So it's any bodies guess now

Even though it isnt anyones business about their finances, I cant help but wonder how things work in such a large family when a child gets married.
