The Proposal
While the
girls are out promoting their new book, Derick takes the opportunity to do some
secret planning back at home. After getting permission from Jim Bob to ask for
Jill's hand in marriage, will he be able to pull off an intricate proposal?
It's always so uplifting to watch their show. I'm pregnant with our 4th and I often wonder, how will we manage as parents. Then I watch an episode, and it gives me such hope. Just as long as we walk in Christ and build on relationships, not on achievements, we'll be fine. Thank you Duggar Family!!

I'm happy for Jill and Derick, but I can't help but wonder why her parents are making such a big deal over everything and they cared so much less when Josh was courting Anna. Michelle said it was different with a daughter...how so? Jill isn't moving to Washington state with Derick, it looks like they are within earshot of the Duggar compound. Josh and Anna stayed around for a few years also. It looks like they didn't care much that Josh was marrying.

Off the subject a bit and please pardon me for saying this but I couldn't help but see the latest regarding the Duggars.... I didn't know that Ben Seewald is a Calvinist!? I see his you tube threads... So are all the Duggars Calvinist? If so then why would Jessa date a man with such differences? That is major doctrinal differences!!! The Bible tells us to be evenly yoked... Just wondering the Duggars thoughts on that?

I like the show but I have a few questions..
ReplyDelete1. Are the girls allowed to go to college? Pursue a career?
2. How can you know if person is right for you after 3 months of dating? It seems the girls are married off so fast.
My parents married after 6 month and had 3 children and together for 38 years. If you find your other half it will last long. (I married my husband after 8 months and it was 16 years ago.)

@Anonymous You can know a person is the right one for you after 3 months...if you marry them. If you marry someone, they are, and immediately become, the right person for you. The point of marriage is to be an image of Christ and the Church not to find your soul mate.
