ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the first photo:) the video doesn't show up. Is it on YouTube?
ReplyDeleteThis is so exciting. I am so happy for Jill and Derrick. May God always be the center of teir life together.
ReplyDeleteThis is the most exciting news. I love this family and their morals and values. May God always be the center of their life together.
ReplyDeleteMy comments haven't been showing up lately.
ReplyDeleteThose pics were done so well, I wonder if Jinger took those? I will never get tired of seeing pics of those couples in love, bring'em on.Since watching these kids grow up I feel like a proud fan-mama.I love talking about this family to people who are new fans and even defending them to people who don't know true factual information about them.I'm pretty sure we can bet on a new season as the ratings are thru the roof, yeah!!
ReplyDeleteDid Jinger take there pictures? If not who?
ReplyDeleteCongrats Jillard! :p
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, they seem so happy and comfortable together.. Love the transportation theme, these two are going places :)
ReplyDeleteJill's birthday is in May so she will be 23 when she marries. Derick ran a half marathon last year. Check out their wedding website at theknot.com/wedding/Jill-and-Derick. Can't wait to see the engagement and wedding episodes!
ReplyDeletePlease change the header!!!! -Caitlyn
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Jill and Derick!!! God bless your engagement, marriage and family!! Thank you for such a romantic view of the true love God designed for his children.
ReplyDeletelooking at the registery she is asking for some pretty pricy items. thought the duggars only bought at second hand stores and saved the difference? guess they are over that one.
ReplyDeleteIt's a registry for GIFTS for their wedding! They aren't purchasing it, and I don't believe they are being unreasonable with the gift choices they have made. They aren't forcing anyone to buy them anything, however, I'm sure people would like to buy them things that they need/will use.
DeleteSo excited to hear about the wedding date! what a great surprise! The wedding is super close to my birthday! These are super cute pictures and they look so incredibly happy together! I am sure that they are an incredible blessing in each others life!
ReplyDeleteO my gosh, I might just over dose and go into a cuteness coma!
ReplyDeleteDerrick seems like a very nice man, he actually seems emotionally involved, attentive and 'engaged' in everything they do together; looks like he is really being a is great partner for Jill and it appears she has made a good choice to share her life with!
ReplyDeleteWhat stood out to me most is that they look at each other the same way jim bob and michelle do. Really couldn't be more adorable. Congrats to you guys and both families. May God continue to use you and bless you.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why they don't just ask for cash instead of all the store items? It would drive me bananas to have to deal with a huge load of stuff like that. But I guess the Duggars have been into storage of items all of their lives. Still it Jill should realize by now that there is tons of things available for very little money, like at their yard sale event.

ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous 3,
Are you asking about the People video we posted on Saturday? Here's the direct link to that: http://www.people.com/people/videos/0,,20806048,00.html

Do the Dungarees have a PO box or a special mailing address to send gifts or letters?
ReplyDeleteWent on the registry and was surprised that it is following the wedding planning formula. It seems the advice in the parents book is not being applied now. There was a story in that book about one of the kids wanting something and it showed up by providence. Michelle said she was so tight fisted she would not buy anything for the house so they would have money to work with. Makes me realize that I should start applying this type of information in my life and not worry about others lives. I can't criticize others for not using the info I don't use my self. I wonder if Jill sees herself in a differently now than her parents were then?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteThat might not be his family's practice. These are gifts not an everyday need it purchase. Even the duggars have been shown to go out an buy a new bike for a kids birthday if they don't currently have that kids size bike. Gifts are for the shower. Some families like the buy the few couple things for their home and get them started.
I hate seeing railroad tracks used photo backdrops. It is not safe to be on the tracks. You can actually be on the tracks and not hear a train coming. A train can't stop in time. People are not good about being able to tell whether the track is being used still.
Just beautiful!!!!!!!!! I especially love pictures 1,2,4, and 7!!! Just lovely. So happy for the two of them.--Love in Christ, C. H. Duggar fan from Oklahoma
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteI agree! Liked the photo of them standing by the antique pickup.
--C.H. Duggar fan from Oklahoma
did the film crew get the proposal on tape???
ReplyDeleteWhy are people complaining about the registry. Did the Duggars send any of you "complainers" the registry to buy any of the items of their registry. If they have not done so no need to complain.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture by the car. Wonder who took the pictures they did a great job!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why they have to have a bridal party as long as an Amtrak. Please do everyone a favor, including the little kids, and let them sit with their parents in the pews. Please don't pull that tulle laced wagon with 3 kids in it anymore. It's been so done already. A wedding ceremony and march up the aisle isn't for preschoolers. Too much pressure.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE all of the photos. They are so sweet!!!!!!!!!!! Love them!!
ReplyDelete~Brooke~
While I am very happy for Jill and Derick, I personally think the signs in the first photo are beyond tacky, because in my opinion changing your name upon marriage is so 1950s. Jill and Derick can still practice their Christian faith if Jill keeps her name. God does not judge people based on things like that.
ReplyDeleteactually i like/love all the pictures but the chalkboard picture is my favorite of all.

Wow people are so judgemental! If they want to ask for expensive gifts or have a huge wedding party so be it! Why do you care its not like your going g to get an invitation
ReplyDeleteI love the one where he's holding the "she stole my heart..." And she's holding "so I stole his last name." IT'S SO CUTE!!!!!:):):):D
ReplyDeleteSome of these comments are so fickle. Worry about your own last name.
ReplyDeleteLovely. Absolutely lovely. What a fine match.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteI have never known a little kid to not be excited about going down the aisle at a wedding. I was a flower girl once and loved it!
The sign is darling. I have no quarrel with any women who does not wish to adopt her husband's name, I respect her decision,. So please, if it is your view that a woman should not take her husband's name, please consider that many women delight in the tradition of taking on her husband's name. It makes me a little sad when I read critical comments about such personal choices as dress, makeup, values, marriage, etc. We are all sisters in Christ and often have different opinions. It would be wonderful if we could open our hearts and support one another in life and appreciate that we have differing points of view and ears to listen, to each other.. Our Father in Heaven has given each of us freedom to choose for ourselves. Peace and Blessings, Ellen
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but criticizing someone because of their wedding registry choices?. My goodness, really? You begrudge them items to set up housekeeping? They are only allowed used items for their wedding? Most of the items on their registry are under $50 and some things on their wish list are under $10. The few big ticket items are just that - very few. Plenty of ideas for their guests and varied to fit any budget.
ReplyDelete@Lily and EllieLily and Ellie, thank you very much for the information.I really appreciate it, bless you both.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness Jill is finally getting out and no longer has to be one of the sister-moms to her younger siblings.
ReplyDeletethe chalk boards reminds me of my announcement...."He stole my heart so I'm taking legal action! Save the day.... October 2 (my wedding day...now 21 years later!)
ReplyDeletewatching the Duggar's say yes episode and Jim Bob and Michael say that Jessa is there first daughter to enter a courtship so then what is this about with Jill?
ReplyDeleteWhat about no touchy in premarriage- holding hands, my goodness.
ReplyDeleteLol Engagement pictures are always a little tacky but these are also cute. And I don't get the complaint about taking his last name. Sure she doesn't have too but why not? When I took my husband's name it was just another way to tie myself to him. This guy seems nice.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the happy couple! Not a fan of the ring though!
ReplyDeletecongrats i'm so happy for you
ReplyDeleteJill and Derrick seem so in love! So glad he has a degree and will be able to take care of Jill.
ReplyDeleteJordyn-Grace is adorable. I feel Michelle dotes on Josie so I hope the older girls give Jordyn extra attention.
@Emory I love the sunset picture as well...I think it's my favorite but they are all amazing. They look so amazing together and I'm glad to see them both so happy. May God bless them for many years to come.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless all of you guys. You are an inspiration and wonderful example for everyone. The pictures are so cute. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCutest. Couple. Ever. Just watched the Nepal episode & I was rooting for you two the whole hour LOL. I thought "I can't wait until next week" so thought I'd do a little digging. Didn't know you had a blog, glad I found it & your pictures - they make me smile :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Did Jill finish nursing school?@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteare you going to follow the exact same family plan that your parents and your brother are? Meaning, having children one after another?
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you both and for your families. I love the signs you made on the chalkboard, though, I have to say...you can't steal from the willing! Haha I bet he wants to share his last name with you! <3
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you guys I love your show and how you teach the younger ones to laugh with each other not at each other I think Jill you have done a wonderful job with that. And can't wait to see you wedding on TV
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for JIll and Derick and I can't wait to see what God has in store for you young cute couple. God bless you both and can't wait to see your wedding on TV
ReplyDeleteI think Derick looks better with no facial hair
ReplyDeleteJinger is an outstanding photographer!! How about a show highlighting her photography?
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for Jill and Derick. Can't wait to see more of what is happening in their lives and the upcoming wedding. You guys make such a cute couple....so sweet.
ReplyDeleteLily and Ellie, is there a way that we as your blog followers could do a 1-,5 or what ever we wish amount to paypal to you all and have a big gift card purchased for the couple from us all. I know there are some who will gripe that they were frugal but when you first set up house you need a lot of stuff.
ReplyDeleteBlessings

Wow 4 months? to bad more couples are not that lucky.
ReplyDeletei love your show on tlc i am always wtach it I LOVE IT you guys are sooo cute ;)
ReplyDeleteSo excited for the both of them. Is there anyway of getting the password to their wedding site. Love to see their plans. Love the Duggars
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeletemy husband and i thought the same thing....they don't shop at goodwill and places like that...come on...they are millionaires...jim bob is worth over 4 million dollars...also their wedding website on www.theknot.com will let you see all their registeries where you can go and buy them a gift but it wont allow anyone to see anything else regarding their wedding unless you have a password...i was a little taken aback with that. i wish reality tv would be REALITY TV and show them for what they really have...shame on tlc for that and also shame on the duggars for wanting everyone to believe they are still buying used.
...
@Anonymous jill has obviously made her choice to take derricks last name...her decision. It shouldnt matter to you what her choice is. Some choose to keep their last name, some choose to take their husband's...either way is fine. So 1950's?? Something wrong with that?
ReplyDeleteaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh! so exited for them.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I plan on taking my husbands name and I have no religion (other than to be awesome) at all.
ReplyDeleteIts all about preference.
It's upsetting but sadly expected to see the vitriolic comments against the Duggars on the secular websites, but I never expected to see such criticisms on a Duggar FAN website. Criticizing their wedding registry for household items and Jill's desire to take her husband's last name (like 99% of American women do)? Really?
ReplyDeleteAwesome this is Great Wonderful wedding planning Ideas.. great Thanks for sharing..
