The Duggar clan (all but Josiah, who is at ALERT basic training, the same program that Joseph went through last year) signed books at the Camp Hill Barnes & Noble yesterday evening. This was their first stop on the Growing Up Duggar book tour.
Before heading to Barnes & Noble, the family attended a dinner set up by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Jolee Rutenber, 16, was thrilled to meet the stars of 19 Kids and Counting.
She was accompanied by her family, including brother Elijah.
The Duggars spent time visiting with and encouraging the Rutenbers.
After dinner, the Duggars posed for a picture with Jolee and her family.
And then they were asked to take a family photo.
Of course, the photographer had to get a few different angles.
After the photo shoot, the Duggars loaded up and headed to Barnes & Noble, where fans were anxiously waiting...
...With cameras in hand.
The family performed music...
...And greeted fans of all ages.
The TLC camera crew was also at the book-signing filming for 19 Kids and Counting.
At age five, Jordyn Duggar can sign her name pretty well.
The four oldest girls were the guests of honor.
The Duggars also shared music with the crowd...
...And spoke.

Jana, Jill, Jessa, and Jinger have been working diligently on Growing Up Duggar for two years.
It was a long night, especially for the little ones, but they remained well-behaved.

Thanks for sharing these pictures! I would have loved to go!! :)
ReplyDeleteJust wondering if the book is about the 4 oldest girls why couldn't they just take the book tour without all the rest of the family? They all are old enough to do so. I also see that Josh and his whole family was there. When does he work? He seems to be at every event the family has. Seems he shouldn't have moved to Washington and just stayed close to the family seems he can't break the tie.
ReplyDeleteThe duggars were on extra. Here is the link to the video:http://www.extratv.com/2014/03/12/the-duggars-19-kids-and-counting-stars-dish-on-the-new-season/?adid=sidebar_widget_default
ReplyDeleteIsn't that lovely, the spring colors in the cute dresses, the beautiful family, just lovely, thank-you so much for sharing these photos.
ReplyDeleteI was interviewed by Scott at the signing!
ReplyDeleteI don't get why the whole family is attenending the book signings. Were the girls not allowed to go on their own? And Josh seems to be able to take off from his job whenever they have something to promote and film for the show.
ReplyDeleteHow many of you agree that the Duggars should comment on the Bill Gothard fiasco? They promote his teachings and have been vocal about his influence. I think they owe to to people to speak out.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. They should comment on Bill.
DeleteI just want to say that I really love the Duggar Family! and hope one day I will get to meet them. love you Michelle!
ReplyDeleteSmart looking group and they are smart, all these outings end up with people buying their books!
ReplyDeletewow, i would have loved to have been there..they are still on my bucket list..
ReplyDeleteMy local B & N does not carry their book; of course I live in CT.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I met you all last night. It was such an honor and we were very excited! We love your show and thank you all for being such an encouragement and example. We wish we had more time to visit! Enjoy your tour! From Dave and Kendall Berry
ReplyDeleteI got to meet them I actually was talking to the older girls for little while and then I went to talk to Michelle
ReplyDeleteFor all the people who criticize saying that the girls will only have opportunities to pop out babies, looky here. Jim Bob is an incredibly smart dad. Now his girls are published authors and have their own income source. AND Jill is a fantastic speaker, and they are all getting so many skills through all of this.
ReplyDeletePlease come to Rockford IL!
ReplyDeleteMy family would LOVE to meet you!
I was there! It was an awesome experience! so welocming and so gracious... they are an inpsiration.
ReplyDeleteI met u at the book signing on Wednesday night u and your family are amazing
ReplyDeleteI was wanting to respond to the comment Jamie left. I believe they are all very smart girls, but they couldn't even go to a book signing without the whole family? There comes a time when they are gonna have to get out from under mom and dad's wing and be their own people. As a matter of fact I believe they would be better off if they did.
ReplyDeleteLittle Jenny is growing up, but she seems so shy. I wonder how she feels about all the cameras around.
ReplyDelete@Stephanie from Virginia Actually, gill bates is on iblp's board of directors. If anyone is going to comment on BG he should.
ReplyDeleteSorry, but I don't think Jill or the other "girls"/women are fantastic speakers. They vary in the speed in which they speak, vary in the pitch, and sound quite giggly and immature for being women in their own right, but not able to live out any of those things. I'm not being rude, just reporting what I see and hear. They should be on this book tour by themselves. They are long overdue in experience in how to handle themselves when a parent or sibling isn't around. Would you want to cloister your adult children in this manner? I hope not.
ReplyDeleteI love your book girls
