It isn't about women's rights. It's about the baby's right to life. It should never BE a right to end another person's life. The Duggars value life, and in our country, sadly, we do not put value on the life of the unborn child. God does put value on that child's life, and the Duggars, being Christians, are trying to follow God's way. God's way values human life, including unborn children. He says abortion is murder. As Christians, the Duggars believe this as well. They are trying to protect and save lives, not take away anyone's so called 'rights'.
ReplyDeleteSpot on. And i hate it when people start talking about having 'rights'. no one has rights. They have 'privileges'. To have rights is to get something if you have earned it or not. to have privileges is something you get because you have earned it. Just because they support the babies right to life. doesnt mean they disrespect women. Many a dr has told a woman to have an abortion because her baby will have this issue or that issue. And so she does so. Only to be devestated by the news later that that there was nothing wrong with her baby. And now that woman is scarred for life. Abortions can also damage a womans body, making it harder to have a healthy pregnancy to term in the future. It happened to my friends mother. A friend of my husband discovered his grandmother or aunt died from complications after an abortion. So tell me how is that ' the best outcome for women' or 'a womans right'? it destroys women,families,marriages,a persons faith,health and the life of another defenseless human being. In the end, no one wins. :-(
DeleteAbout abortion, one has to be 'either' or 'or' if they say they God created life at conception. There can not be any 'abortion is okay if it is to save the life of the mother' or 'abortion is okay for rape and incest.' If a person honestly believes God creates all life and it begins at conception, they are out of the other side of the mouth saying it is okay to do what they call 'murder' under circumstances THEY feel is okay. That is called hyprocrisy. Look it up.

ReplyDeleteThe only real hope for mankind is to embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ. Someone who comes to know Christ will desire to become more like him, and will turn from sin. The Atonement will cleanse us from our iniquities, and the gospel of Jesus Christ will lead us on righteous paths. What a blessed path to be on.

ReplyDeleteI think the only way to end or at least drastically reduce abortion is for Christians to start shoeing a genuine love for children and welcoming them with open arms. And truly raising them in the Lords ways. So that the world we diet up and take notice. But at the moment besides disagreeing on the abortion issue, a Christians view of children is almost no better than the worlds.
ReplyDeleteI think it is so ironic that the Duggars consider themselves to be pro-life. They love guns and meat, which are both related to murder.
ReplyDeleteKilling a soul-less animal is not murder. Guns don't murder, people do. Murder is "aborting" a "fetus" (a.k.a. unborn child) for your own wellfare. That, is murder.

ReplyDeleteToo bad they don't take some of this energy in protecting a thoughtless lifeless foetus and put towards protecting and helping children who are already here and already suffering.
ReplyDeleteWe can't take care of the homeless kids we have now and people like the Duggars care more about a foetus than they do the rights of a woman and the children in social services who have no one and will have no one because they're all too "old" to be adopted since all everyone wants are cute white infants.
