Though the family is still coping after the loss of baby Jubilee, they pull together to support each other through the hard times. And with 19 kids, there is a lot to keep them busy. In the premiere one-hour episode of 19 Kids and Counting, the whole Duggar clan heads down to Florida for Anna’s sister’s wedding. Will a Duggar girl be next down the aisle?
The excitement doesn’t stop for the Duggars as Jim Bob and Michelle have a special dinner with none other than "Growing Pains" 90’s star, Kirk Cameron. During the season, we watch the older girls begin to be courted while the boys pick up new instruments. The house is certainly noisier than ever now. Jill celebrates her 21st birthday and several Duggars learn how to hunt turkeys. Meanwhile, we check in on oldest son Josh and his growing family. While it’s not quite 19, we see how wife Anna is handling being a mother of two. Will there be any more babies on the way?

ReplyDeleteI was wondering, I read somewhere on the internet that one of the episodes of the one hour special of the Duggar family that airs on August 28th, will not only be talking about Anna's sister's wedding (we were there! We went out to lunch with the Duggars and they invited us there!) but also it mentioned that it will show the girls being courted. Is it talking about the older Duggar girls? Can you confirm that? Thanks!
I can't wait to see the family and enjoy seeing the family grow up with Jesus! I am happy that Anna's sister has found David and may God bless them for years to come!

The Duggars' title of that espisode is incorrect. aisles are down the sides of the church. The nave is the 'aisle' down the center

ReplyDeleteHello! No it's not. The reason I end all my comments with "don't quit" is that at my church we had a youth rally and we had a guest preacher in and he preach on don't quit on the Lord! And I get thinking about what He said and I asked myself WHY quit on the LORD when He never quit's on me!! Now after all my comments. post. emails. texts or cards I send out I always put don't quit or I put don't quit on the Lord! I hope this help. I hope you have a blessed weekend! God bless!

I am almost wondering if courtship is part of why the Duggars have been on hiatus for so long. Back when Josh was courting Anna, the show didn't start up until they were practically married and maybe they don't want to air until they are more comfortable that something is going to work out. That makes me more comfortable than the idea that TLC wants to cancel the Duggars, thats something I don't want to see happening.
ReplyDelete@tashapork. I agree with you. I've actually been praying almost a year about possibly courting one of the young ladies. No, they don't know me. I wouldn't mind being in TV, but being on TV is not important at all. Even if I was given permission to court, I would refrain from being made public for the sake of their testimony and good family name. Like you said, it would be better to air something they felt more comfortable with thinking it would work out. Whoever the gentleman is/are, I pray they are respectable men and that they will love, honor, and cherish the wife God has for them.

ReplyDeleteMary, just be thankful you are not in their shoes. They made themselves known intentionally and TLC chose to follow them around and pay them to do so. Just keep your life simple and serving God, not making it a display of public attention. It is better that way!! The grass is not always greener on the other side!!!

I don't really have a comment but rather a question i hope someon out there can answer. I know that the Duggars do not believe in the traditional form of dating; they do not believe in "giving away pieces of your heart that rightly belong to the future spouse." I get that and have no problem with it BUT not everyone gets married. Some people don't want to get married and some never find what they are looking for. In that case, would the Duggar child who does not marry stay home all their adult life without any companionship?

ReplyDeleteI could try to answer your question. I don't think they would stay at home all their adult life. I think they may come to a point wanting to move out, but on good terms unlike most kids when they move out. I have a sister who is single and moved out when she was about 26. Yes, she would like to get married, but it is not her goal. Her goal is to know the Lord and be close to Him. Although she has moved, she is not far from the family. They are always nearby whenever they need each other.

ReplyDeleteThey probably said nobody was courting because they may have wanted to keep it private and then wait until a bit longer to have it included in the show. Like the eldest Bates son who was engaged...and who now suddenly isn't anymore..maybe Jessa wanted to wait till it was strong enough to announce it.
