Have you enjoyed our series this week? If you just arrived, be sure to check out parts one, two, and three of Ellie's interview with Jill Duggar. And now, for the fourth segment:
Ellie: Has working on the book sparked a passion for writing in any of you?
Jill: "Some of us enjoy writing if we can find the time for it, but we're looking forward to having it completed and the ministry opportunity that there is right now and to hopefully be a blessing to other young girls. [We hope that] when they look at this, it's not just looking into our lives--hearing more stories and hearing more about our family--but that they're learning and growing in the Lord through this and that Christ would be glorified through it and that it would be an example of Him and not just our family.
Ellie: Any plans for a book tour?
Jill: "I'm sure there will be at some point, but we'll wait and see."
Ellie: Have you had input from some of your other siblings?
Jill: "Yeah, we have, and I think we will." The girls plan to write about different relationships in a young woman's life (family, friends, and guys).
Tune in tomorrow to find out how Jana, Jill, Jessa, and Jinger are working together to accomplish their goal.

ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous,
It sounds like the commenter meant to type "this" but instead typed "tgis."

I just love all of the Duggars, they are such an inspiration to all. I was thinking that if God ever wanted to have another flood and start over again, like he did with Noah, Jim Bob would be the man for the job. Ours would be a perfect world if we could all be devoted Christians like Jim Bob and Michelle. Thank you for sharing your lives with others, and may God bless you and your family always.

I am a Grandmom, and have a question. When Grandma Duggar is staying at the house where does she sleep? Is it in with the girls or does she have a special room?
ReplyDelete@Bonnie Ricks
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie,
Grandma Duggar lives with Jim Bob and Michelle and has her own room, adjacent to the laundry room.
Thanks for reading!

Just curious, was this a face to face/Skype interview, or did you email a list of questions to be answered? In this section you asked if any of them had a passion for writing when it's clear that they don't since they're not actually writing the book, as Jill mentioned in a previous section (but you wouldn't have known that if it was a list of questions, obviously). But the way her answers are transcribed are very verbal in nature (lots of "like"s etc which you would say but not write down). So I'm a little confused :)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to reading the book and seeing some of Jinger's photography first hand!
@Mia
ReplyDeleteHi Mia,
The interview was over the phone. Although the girls have the help of a ghost writer, they are putting a tremendous amount of work into the book.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
Lily and Ellie
