She really did an amazing job! This is a better view than I had though. I was a bit to the right of this vantage point and all I could see was her feet! LOL
For anyone not familiar with the beautiful hymn "It Is Well With My Soul":
1. When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll; whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say, It is well, it is well with my soul.
Refrain: It is well with my soul, it is well, it is well with my soul.
2. Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, let this blest assurance control, that Christ has regarded my helpless estate, and hath shed his own blood for my soul. (Refrain)
3. My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! My sin, not in part but the whole, is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more, praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul! (Refrain)
4. And, Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight, the clouds be rolled back as a scroll; the trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend, even so, it is well with my soul. (Refrain)
Written by Horatio Spafford "This hymn was written after several traumatic events in Spafford’s life. The first was the death of his only son in 1871 at the age of four, shortly followed by the great Chicago Fire which ruined him financially (he had been a successful lawyer). Then in 1873, he had planned to travel to Europe with his family on the SS Ville du Havre, but sent the family ahead while he was delayed on business concerning zoning problems following the Great Chicago Fire. While crossing the Atlantic, the ship sank rapidly after a collision with a sea vessel, the Loch Earn, and all four of Spafford's daughters died. His wife Anna survived and sent him the now famous telegram, "Saved alone . . .". Shortly afterwards, as Spafford traveled to meet his grieving wife, he was inspired to write these words as his ship passed near where his daughters had died." -quote is from Wikipedia
Jinger, That was beautiful! I would love to hear more. I think it would be awesome to have every Duggar child play a song on whichever instruments they enjoy. Make it a Duggar concert with the youngest children playing also.
Thanks for leaving your comments! We answer as many of your questions as we can, but due to the number of comments we receive daily, we are unable to answer every one. Our aim is to post all points of view, but we do not post anything that is profane, insulting, derogatory, or in poor taste.
Wow! I had no idea she played so well. I would have bombed out playing such a difficult piece in front of an audience.
ReplyDeletePure talent

Has she ever heard Yanni?
ReplyDeleteJinger plays beautifully. It's a shame she hasn't been given the chance to play to an audience before, or the cameras
ReplyDeleteB E A U T I F U L!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDitto the previous comment!!!
As a pianist, I seriously doubt she could reach this level of skill without playing before an audience before.
ReplyDeleteIt's a medley of "It is Well with My Soul" and "My Anchor Holds"
ReplyDeleteReally cool. Was that her own arrangement or did she have written music for that?
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed hearing her play in West Bend :)
