Two weeks ago, Michelle attended CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) in Washington D.C. and was a panelist on "The 'Right' View." We have posted footage of that discussion below.

Why did that lady start out in such an Un-Christian manner slamming the TV show "The View?" Does she watch The View? I stopped watching after that remark. That was all I needed to hear. What Would Jesus Do? I think he would have stopped watching also. I went in with an open mind, but was stopped short by the opening hatefulness.
ReplyDeleteOh, you did publish something in poor taste--that video.
ReplyDeleteMy friend had the stomach to watch this clip. This is what Jesus would not do--make this remark--but you asked for comments. She said after counting 38+ hand flicks of the fake cornrows back over the shoulder (whatever that was), she had to stop watching that nervous tic?????
ReplyDeleteMichelle was very strong and true to her views! I may not agree with them 100% but I enjoyed this clip! Thank you ladies once again! Its great to see women for life! Abortion is wrong!
ReplyDeleteAwesome video!

I found this video disturbing on so many levels. They all just sounded like angry women. I found it ironic that Michelle would sit on a stage with these these women and bash the views of women on a talk show when she has appeared on The View to promote her family and lifestyle.
ReplyDeleteI agree that some of the women in this clip were unnecessarily harsh. On the other hand, Michelle did a great job at softening out the discussion.
ReplyDeletePassion for life is beautiful. It would have been so encouraging to hear the heart of Jesus coming from these women.
ReplyDeleteYes, some hateful women. could not watch the entire video
ReplyDeleteI wish Michelle would up her wardrobe for her appearances. She deserves to get herself something nice and different to wear. Treat yourself Michelle dont't always put yourself last.
ReplyDeleteWow, very disappointing. All spite, bitterness, anger, and mockery. We may disagree with others' views but if we are Christians we're still called to love them... not to resort to petty ridicule based on politcs... again, very disappointing.
ReplyDeleteWow...I agree with all these different comments in one way or another, but, really, am just speechless as to why Michelle would sit on stage with this group on this national platform. By including herself in this, I think she shocked many of us Christian women being a part of commenting on "The View", and a part of the critical show of attitudes of the other women. IMO Michelle was the still, small voice...but it didn't make up for the fact she was a part of that gossipy group.
ReplyDeleteMichelle,
ReplyDeleteThat was wonderful how you stepped in and brought the focus where it should be. Thank you for stepping up. I don't think they were expecting all that you shared. America WILL NOT be where it needs to be until we turn our hearts to God.
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
"And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." Deuteronomy 6:5
Is Michelle aware that Santorum's wife lived -- for six years -- with an abortion doctor 40 years her senior? She was living with the abortion doctor when she met Rick Santorum. Is this who we want for First Lady? It is in my newspaper today, so I am not slandering. Also, I agree, Michelle has appeared on The View and was treated most graciously by the ladies on The View. This video gives Christian women a bad name and fuels the sterotype image -- as vile, judgemental, hating women.
ReplyDeleteShe seemed to have more manners then the rest of the lady's! I didn't like the bashing of the view but they had some good points on abortion! Bashing people is still not what Jesus would do to get on top! That is what not Jesus was about! Love the Sinner hate the sin!
ReplyDeleteI don't think she think she is meaning to that. Your telling her its wrong to bash on ppl, but here you are bashing on her. She's not perfect and if you know your verses you should know that. I dont she is trying to get to the top either!
DeleteThis is wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI have to say that a few of the other comments left here left me scratching my head. What is so wrong with a good, bold voice out there? How is that "un-Christian"? Hmm...is that not the exact way that Jesus lived his life? YEAH! He went around being a voice against the wrong in the world, and the religious nutcases of his day HATED it...they hated him because of it, and tried to make him look bad because he was speaking out.
LOVED listening to the panelists on this vid, and so encouraged it is being shared here. Keep up the good work, Lily and Ellie!
Lily and Ellie,
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I were present at CPAC for this panel discussion and we also had the opportunity to meet Michelle and Jim Bob at the book-signing!Yay!! So exciting!
While I agree that this was not the best forum to discuss topics important to conservative women, it is important to note that the ladies from "The View" were not telling the truth about some very important topics of federal tax subsidies to Planned Parenthood and they have often shown tremendous disdain for women who spend their energies on their families.
Michelle was a welcome presence of fresh air, reflecting the quiet and gentle spirit of godly women. Yet, Star Parker (the African American woman on the panel) made very important points concerning the targeting of black children for destruction in abortion mills and the need to work hard rather than wait for a handout.
I'm glad Michelle was on the panel, she modeled a gentle, loving response to these difficult issues, but I caution these other readers to not forget that the direct attacks on unborn children and upon godly women by the women of "The View" are not to be diminshed even if this particular forum was not as helpful in illuminating these issues.
Blessings,
Kelly
I just want to say that the duggers are a great family and I enjoy watching them.I love there famliy values and wholesomeness. What a wonderfull gift to be born in this family. You never have to be alone!and even tho they truly beleive in god(which is good)they are not afrad to show it.Wish there were more people like them, the world would be so much better.
ReplyDeleteI applaud your showing this video! I think it's ironic that conservatives are not aloud to be vocal and strong in what they say and believe. When others of different political persuasions ie some on the VIEW proceed to bash and are very vocal and strong in their comments. I'm not ashamed to fight for the sanctity of life and morality in AMERICA. I believe it is how JESUS was, HE showed his love for children by telling the adults to get out of the way and let them come near me.(not very passive) He tore up the temple when He saw the digusting practices that were going on there. (not very passive)
ReplyDeleteYes, we show love, but we should share how we feel and believe. Just as everyone is allowed to share how we believe. thanks again for sharing the video.
I agree with lilly aqnd elli, Michelle did a great job sharing her views and most importantly --Jesus and the ruth of His word. She handled herself very humbly and gentle and self controlled and set a good godly example for the other women I think, :) Go Michell!!! :D
ReplyDeleteI agree with Anonymous who found this clip disturbing on so many levels. Our country is facing many issues but I pray that we can discuss and deal with them in kindness and respect.
ReplyDeleteWeird comments here.
ReplyDelete"some of the women in this clip were unnecessarily harsh."
"you did publish something in poor taste"
"I found this video disturbing on so many levels. They all just sounded like angry women."
Hummmm.
Angry? Over one thousand babies killed every day. Nothing to be angry about there.
Our tax dollars paying for it? Nothing to be angry about there.
Poor taste? Put a video of an abortion in every high school classroom. I'll bet people will say that is in poor taste. But it will also cut down the number of abortions by EDUCATING kids as to what it is. Liberals write the text books so they wouldn't be against education would they?
To those criticizing Michelle for being with the other women...
Did Jesus hang out with only those who agreed with him on everything?
Michelle, it is always a pleasure to see you.
P.S. Why is it some people can write negative comments without even leaving their first name?
I think most of us aren't being critical of standing up for what's right, and Michelle WAS very tender and respectful while at the same time being bold, as that still small voice for God. IMO many are just surprised, as one writes...the forum. There's no denying that the other women were clearly taking personal jabs at the women on "The View"-and that is in no way characteristic of Michelle. BTW, I DO NOT endorse "The View", just think we should all be careful how we represent ourselves as Christians when talking about ANYONE.
ReplyDeleteLet's put the shoe on the other foot to people that didn't find this video disturbing. Say at the GOP convention, there was a pretend show "Not 19 Kids and Counting" and there was a panel of 19 kids sitting there and the GOP showed clips from the Duggar show and each of the kids got to make a snide remark about the Duggar clip. That would be horrible; just horrible. Now before you jump in and say it would be horrible to pick on kids, let's say then it just showed clips of Jim Bob and Michelle and the adults were allowed to pick apart what Jim Bob and Michelle said. SAME THING, PEOPLE, SAME THING. And you would be blowing up this page objecting. The Real View skit was just wrong. Agreeing or not agreeing with the TV show The View is not the point. The point is that it was just plain wrong to attack (and this was an attack) the women on The View. I can't speak for Jesus, but my opinion is that He was just appalled as I was. Michelle did not belong in this skit and I bet she really repented after she did it.
ReplyDeleteAll I have to say is WOW! For all of u who found it offensive when they were stating facts is EXACTLY why our country is the shap it's in! Everyone sticks their head in the sand and allows all these innocent babies to die and does nothing about it! I applauded these women for bringing up these serious issues!! I appaulade Michelle for giving us facts about planned parenthood! U say they r judging the women from the view but are u not judging them???? Jesus would stand up for our children who have no voice and he is calling us to do the same!!! Will u????
ReplyDeleteWith Lent beggining tomorrow it is a time I draw nearer to God. I'm sure he'd be as saddened by the un-Christianly behavior of these women as most of us are. Perhaps they need to reacquaint themselves with his teachings.
ReplyDeleteMichelle was a wonderful example of how to speak the truth in love. She is so sweet, and yet she boldly takes a Biblical stand for what is right. I also appreciate her wholesome appearance and modest example. She is beautiful inside and out!
ReplyDeleteNothing Mrs. Duggar said was untrue. It's not a big deal to dispute the facts of something another person says.
ReplyDeleteWere some of the ladies on the stage a bit over the top with their comments and perhaps a bit rude or snarky? Yes.
But Mrs. Duggar cannot control them nor can she know ahead of time what they would say or how they would say it. All she can control is what she says and how.
I'm sure she was saddened by the other ladies' vitrolic comments and the making fun. But *she* did not do it, nor could she have known it would happen.
Mrs P
I agreed with everything Michelle Duggar said because she was not rude or nasty! She speaks her mind and is still respectful! I am not for abortion! Abortion is wrong! I just think the rest of the women were more like Michelle
ReplyDeleteWhile I actually would never have an abortion myself, and agree in theory on that subject, I would be embarrassed, were I Mrs. Duggar, to have been associated with those self-righteous, vitriolic, hate-filled women.
ReplyDeleteComment to Debbie: "conservatives are not aloud" -- yes, conservatives are ALLOWED to do whatever they want, particularly to an education to know that "aloud" means "with sound" while "allowed" means "to be allowed to do."
ReplyDeleteOkay, here's my share about this. This ladies are crazy except for Michelle D. I feel bad she had to go through that and feel she has the need to have to say something just to make sure not offend anybody who was there. As you can see, she did have manners and spoke politely. As for the other ladies, are the type of social group who think that their " right view". When typically, there only speaking about themselves. Other thing is; as a christian we know that we are not perfect and we'll all fall short of His glory. Yes, i believe Michelle could've hold back a bit, but she was in a crowd with a bunch or angry socialist groups who bash on people, because they have the money to spend. And bash on the President like this ladies have done anything to help our county out.
ReplyDeleteNow for the person that told Michelle that she deserves better and to treat herself out! Obviously, you dont pay much attention to the show. She is happy and has everything she deserves. I dont think she could ask for anything more. She doesn't care what she wears! To her she comes as she is, just like what God tells us. "Come as you are"!
Thank you for posting this. I was not aware of this conference or these speakers and I was very happy to get to watch it and here the information. It was nice to see Michelle there too. She adds so much to our country with her values and the values she and her husband have instilled in their children. Thank you for everything you do with this website. I really appreciate a trustful resource.

I will not apologize for my VIEW on these women. Aside from Michelle these women are little different, in action and talk from the world or the View.
ReplyDeleteThey appear to be a group of women, aside from Michelle, who are liberal, feminist, women who showed little godly character.
Femininity for the most part is lacking in this group of women. They act as men with dresses and make-up on.
I can relate as I am trying to come out of this type of attitude and countenance. I myself have fallen prey to the world's lies to what women should be and how they should act. Lets all get back to the Bible.
Thanks for allowing me to speak.
@Anonymous Christ says to put ourselves last.
ReplyDeleteThose Women on The View should look into Theology of the Body it would be life changing!!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize Michelle was at CPAC! Great clip- love seeing their passion and fight for what's good and right. Thanks for posting!
