It has been a busy year for Jim Bob and Michelle and the kids! Let's take a quick look at the Duggars' 2011:
January 2011: Twins Jana and John-David turned 21.
February: The Duggars woke up to two feet of snow--a record for Northwest Arkansas. The following day, we had the pleasure of interviewing Jim Bob and Michelle on Nina Frye's Living the Dream Mom radio show. A few days later, a brief snippet of our October interview with Michelle was heard on 19 Kids and Counting, "Duggars All Aboard."
March: Josh and Anna Duggar announced to the world--in a creative, non-conventional way--the gender of their second child.
April: the family made their annual trek to the ATI homeschool conference in Texas and had a close call with a destructive storm system.
May: When Joplin was devastated by the infamous, May 22th tornado, the Duggars loaded up a caravan of supplies and spent hours searching for survivors amidst the rubble.
June: After the release of the Duggars' second book, A Love That Multiplies, the entire family piled onto their bus and departed on a book tour. Then on June 15th, Anna Duggar gave birth to her second child, Michael James Duggar.
July: We interviewed Michelle and Anna Duggar. That same evening, the family left for Atlanta to fulfill speaking engagements and book-signings.
August: The Duggars spent time witnessing in Washington D.C. with evangelist Ray Comfort.
September: On the 2nd, 26 Duggars (Jim Bob and Michelle and their kids, Anna, Mackynzie, Michael, Grandma Duggar, and cousin Amy), headed overseas for the trip of a lifetime. In a period of less than three weeks, they visited Scotland, Ireland, England, and Israel. Upon returning, they headed to Atlanta to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.
October: The family spoke at the LifeWay Kids Ministry Conference in Nashville. The younger kids gave an entertaining performance of "I've Been Redeemed" that had the crowd roaring with laughter. (Watch the video here.)
November: The Duggars made headlines when they announced that they were expecting their 20th child.
December: The family was again featured in national news when they received the tragic news of their miscarriage. Following a memorial service for Jubilee Shalom Duggar, Jim Bob and Michelle and the kids cleared their schedules to grieve. But they still made time to celebrate their five December birthdays (Josie's 2nd, Jordyn's 3rd, Jinger's 18th, and Jedidiah and Jeremiah's 13th).
Does anyone know when 19 Kids and Counting will return with new episodes? I know they are still grieving the loss of Jubilee but I just wondered when we could expect any new episodes!
ReplyDeleteYou forgot to add Jordyn's birthday.
ReplyDeleteIts been a very Bittersweet year for the Duggars! Its great to see such a wonderful family with morals and values on TV! I am grateful that they have the show!
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa!
ReplyDeleteTLC hasn't yet announced a start date for the new season, but we will post it when we hear.
Have a wonderful day!

Love your show and read your first book. Loved it! I've taken some parenting tips away from you too! Love seeing the live that is shared throughout your family. Its truly heartwarming! My deepest heartfelt sympathy goes out to your family on the loss of your baby. My husband and I just lost our baby a couple nights ago on new years eve. This is our second miscarriage and both happened at the end of my first trimester. It has been excruciatingly painful and as a Christian myself am having a hard time making sense of things. We are blessed with a 3necklace year old son but feel in my heart so strongly about wanting another one but this recent miscarriage has me in a emotional rollercoaster. I do not know if Michelle will get to see this but if she does I would like to ask her how you move on after such painful losses. I admire the family's strong faith!
ReplyDeleteYou guys and girls have a lot of things to do in one year in this country and out of this country!!
ReplyDelete-Hope 2012 is GOOD too!!

There is so much to be admired by this entire Josh included... Iv been threw the same thing but worse that the girls have went threw. The fact that Josh has came out on his own is amazing because I have to live either this person and go to school with this person everyday and he denied it and still had. also, the girls forgiveness is amazing and very admirable... I genuinely have thought I wished i was brought up in that family because of how blessed they all are spiritually. My parents are not and i very much am so iv had to learn it on my own... Absolutely love the duggars and they have taught me so much.... And it's an assume that this world can be so cruel to such an amazing and loving family....
ReplyDeleteWell it seems like the last post was in 2012. So have no idea if this is going to get to the duggars or not but, here it is.. your family is going threw so much right now that i can relate to. Iv had the same things happen to me just I haven't fully gotten over it. I don't trust anyone n always keep people at a very far distance..I admire all of your strength and because the girls did that interview it actually helped me heal as well. The amount of forgiveness you all share is truly amazing. I know your goal was to get the truth out but just know u succeeded in that and also helped me tremendously... Thank you. I hope you do come back and show everyone that it doesn't matter what anyone says. Your show has taught me a lot. Especially spiritually. My parents are not spiritual at all but iv always shown tremendous interest and now learning on my own.... Have a good holiday
