Q&A With Michelle

In spring 2011, CBN visited the Duggar home and interviewed Michelle. We have posted a few video clips from their chat, but we still have many more! In this one, Michelle answers questions from CBN's Facebook page. Even though the answers were given last year, they provide wonderful insight into the Duggars' way of life.

    I totally love Michelle and the Duggar family. But did I hear something wrong or did Michelle mess up and call Jill her oldest daughter? I know it was just a simple mess up as she's trying to think and talk at the same time during an interview (seriously, that can be stressful and not as easy as it might seem!!).

    Hi Willow!

    Michelle did say "my oldest daughter Jill." It's easy to confuse names when you have just a few children, so it's understandable. I (Lily) even call Ellie "Pearl" (the name of our cockatiel), and that's worse. :)

    My brothers name is Ashley and mine is Lisa and growing up my poor very hard working mum use to call us Llashy & Ashlisa

    I don't know if she might have said "my oldest daughter, Jill" because Jana and John David are twins and she may think of them as "the twins" (even though she ended up with another set of twins).
    My dh and I had a daughter, then a son, then after 11 years, we had two more daughters. When we say "the girls" we do not mean all three daughters, but the two youngest.
    Michelle may think of her children that way too---Jana is the oldest daughter, but because she's a twin, she's "one of the twins".
    Does that make sense? :-)

    Michelle you are the best so com with your family I wish i could be that way with mine childern. You and Jim bob are the best god bless you both and you still look good for having so many children.

    it is hard I have six kids and I call them the others names I will be thinking about one and call the other one that name I don't mean to it just happen that way. Michelle you and Jim bob are the best ... kathie s

    and also does she have any siblings?

    Anonymous 8:48 PM-Neither of Michelle's parents are still living, Her mother died in 1991 or 1992 and her father died in 2009. Michelle has like 7 siblings
