After building houses with Habitat for Humanity and speaking at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Jim Bob and most of the kids headed to the Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama!
"Our kids are so excited to be here at Space Camp," Jim Bob Duggar told the Huntsville Times. "This is just fascinating with all the rockets here." Several of the Duggar kids, especially 11-year-old Jason, are interested in space travel. Who knows? Jim Bob and Michelle might have a future astronaut or two on their hands!
Where was Michelle? She and two of the children stayed behind in Israel for a few extra days.
The Duggars' visit to Space Camp (click here for a short video) will be featured on an upcoming episode of TLC's "19 Kids and Counting." For those living in the US and Canada, the new season of "19 Kids and Counting" starts this Tuesday at 9PM EST/8PM CST.

My friend won a scholarship to travel to the Huntsville Space Camp at the end of June - all the way from little old New Zealand! She met some really cool people there, and brought me back some freeze-dried ice cream. Let's just say I don't think I could ever be an astronaut...
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see that the Duggars are taking the time to learn about space travel - it's just so interesting!
Thanks for all the fantastic updates, and keeping everyone on the ball about the Duggars' latest escapades :)

I am inspired by how the Duggars bring together work, volunteering and fun!
ReplyDeleteIt is a great example for those of us that struggle with getting our kiddos engaged and excited to serve others.
(.. and I am so curious, why were Michelle and the other kids still returning from Isreal? Some wonderful adventure of their own, perhaps?)
Hi Lemsgarden!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you! We don't know why Michelle stayed longer in Israel, but we will find out on the new season!
Thanks for reading!

Michelle and Jill stayed behind in Israel because Josie was sick and her o2 sat levels were too low to fly. They left Israel to fly home yesterday (Sunday)
ReplyDeleteI actually went to Space Camp in 6th grade. LOL! That was a million years ago! I went to the campus in Florida though. I'm sure the Duggar kids had a great time. It really was an awesome experience and an amazing program.
ReplyDeleteAny idea if the Duggars are going to the Maxwell's conference in Huntsville tonight?
ReplyDeleteAwww, I live in Huntsville. I definitely would have gone to the space center yesterday had I known they would be there! :)
ReplyDeleteMichelle, Jill and Josie had to stay in Israel because Josie became ill. I hope that it was nothing serious, and it looks like they're back now.
ReplyDeleteJosie and Michelle and Jill stayed behind in Israel because Josie became sick on this international trip. She is not able to fly home.
ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't sound like the Duggars will be at the Maxwell's conference. We heard that they headed home yesterday after their Space Camp experience.
